Lady Liberty, once the symbol of the land of the free and the home of the brave, passed away this November 2004 - weakened from blood loss due to a thousand unconstitutional wounds made legal, poisoned by fascism, fever raging from infections of corruption, greed and a final thrust of a death dagger to the heart; a fixed election fraud, barely mentioned by corporately owned media.
She was left to die and gave up the ghost without a whimper from those that championed her; the flag waiving religious right, who have greater fears of gay rights, stem cell research and color coded government manufactured fear of terrorism.
Newly widowed, by the death of Lady liberty, Americans have wedded the same tyranny that their forefathers fought, they have willfully accepted the economic chains of slavery and gleefully parrot their lies.
At least the Ukrainians took to the streets in protest of their 'fixed' election. America falls silent; corporately owned media has not told them what to think or what to believe. Either uncaring, or bound and gagged by their own economic slavery, America has ignored her founding fathers warnings, deemed them obsolete and chosen the un-American precepts of those she once opposed. Americans have adopted the teachings of Hegel, Trotsky and Strauss and believed them as what is the right course of affairs and incorporated them into their educational system to raise up a generation of servants for the state and corporate interests.
Americans have divorced themselves from the God & faith that bore the truths that this nation was founded upon and replaced it with the 'god' of the bottom line - the corporate profit and loss statement, a secular religion, self involved and self focused, they erroneously believe they have achieved freedom of religion or freedom from religion. They have mortgaged the future of their children to finance their desires for the here and now, even as they send their young to spill their blood on the battlefields elsewhere to protect the corporate hegemony that feeds them.
Owned, they are, as slaves in economic chains, by those that print money backed by nothing and and require payment back with ever increasing interest. They bow down and lick the boots of the global corporate elites fearing the whip of employment termination they toil silently, dutifully reporting to their corporate workplace, like automaton instruments of processing for corporate greed and the bottom line. They distance themselves in their minds by degrees from the thoughts of their own condition as slaves as they cheer their labors to chants of success of achieving ever increasing productivity mandates. Free people can say "no." Free people can refuse increased demands for their money, time, and children. Slaves cannot. There is no freedom without the freedom to say "no."
Americans have asked those that champion freedom of speech and dissent to leave America or shut up. They have cast aside the human rights of the Geneva Convention, cleaved to imprisonment without proper trial, turned a blind eye toward torture abroad and allowed the trampling of civil liberties and privacy rights at home for the sake of expediency; all in reaction to falsified evidence of threats from afar. The masters, who profit from war, have decided they want wars on anyone living over oil. Millions of Americans (and millions more around the globe) did not want the war, but the masters started them anyway, by lying to the people. The masters profit from war & oil. Can you refuse the war? Can you refuse being lied to? Can you refuse your masters? No? Congratulations! You are a slave. When you live under a government that takes your freedom, your wealth, and your children, then lies to you to keep you docile and scares you to keep you obedient, how can it be otherwise? Freedom is dead! Lady Liberty has expired.
Truly the prophets of old have spoken rightly, that the leaders of this day will speak lies, and the people love to have it so.
