Heroes

Young PFC Milton Olive wasn't thinking about reparations that muggy, faithless morning, October 22nd, 1965, when his platoon came under assault by heavy Viet Cong gun fire in the vicinity of Phu Cuong, Republic of Viet Nam.

PFC Olive's, 3rd platoon, Company B. 2nd, Airborne Battalion, 503rd, Infantry, retaliated by assaulting the enemy positions causing the enemy to flee. A hand grenade was thrown in the midst of PFC Olive’s Platoon. This Black paratrooper saw the grenade, picked it up, and fell on it to absorb the blast with his body, and saved the lives of his buddies; both Black and White alike.

Through his bravery and unhesitating action and complete disregard for his own safety, he prevented additional loss of life and injury to members of his platoon.

PFC Olive’s conspicuous gallantry, extraordinary heroism, and intrepidity, at the risk of his own life, above and beyond the call of duty, are in the highest traditions of The United States Army, and reflect great credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of his country- reads the inscription on the monument in a Chicago, Lakefront park named after this brave Medal of Honor recipient.

I never had the distinct honor of meeting Mr. Olive, but I knew many fine men of his caliber and of the breed that cultivated him.

Paul Bertolozzi was a high school friend. His ambition was to become a lawyer. Paul was an average kid, so quiet you hardly knew he was around. He was dependable, and when we played baseball and needed to score a run, Paul could always be counted on to come through with a base hit.

He joined the Marines a few years after I went in and came out of Officers Candidate School, a Second Lieutenant. Paul was sent across the pond and managed to get himself captured by Charlie. He was listed Missing In Action! Some how months later Paul had managed to escape and find his way back to American lines.

Paul was sent home on leave and given his "choice" of duty stations, anywhere in the world, and Paul chose to rejoin his old outfit back over in Viet Nam. He wasn't so lucky the next time his unit came under assault from Jane Fonda's buddies - The Viet Cong. Paul took a shot to the head and was Killed in Action; awarded the Silver Star for Valor, above and beyond the call of duty.

These guys exemplified the type of leadership that was prevalent in those times.

Look around today, what have we got? Neutered men walking around sucking on plastic water bottles, whining about not knowing needless information about National Security Issues, or if we were justified for retribution against a radical country that conspired to attack the United States and murder more than 3,000 Americans, on 9-11.

My guys weren't like this - we got down. That's why I have a hard time swallowing all of this propaganda put out by the administration and the state run media about PFC Jessica Lynch receiving the Bronze Star.

Surely, I do not want to disparage this fine young and courageous lady who went through one hellish ordeal - but to receive the Bronze Star - I think does an injustice to every combatant that distinguished themselves and rose above and beyond the call of duty.

This method of "cheapening," the value of our medals for valor, does not surprise me because, the witless Girlymen are now in charge of our country, and they haven't a clue about our heritage, or about anything else, really.

They gave out Purple Hearts to three US PeaceKeepers in Kosovo a few years back for goofing off. These turds wanted to take pictures rather then perform their duty and managed to wander across enemy lines in Macedonia and were captured. They surrendered without ever firing a shot. They were taken prisoner and slapped around for a few days before Slick Willy bought them out. For this non-sense, they were awarded the Purple Heart.

We seem to be handing out these prestigious, honorable awards, as though they were token medals for attending an intramural high school track or field event.

This is the result of a nonsensical politically correct, government misunderstanding about our heritage, and of life in general. Whether they are regulating our toilets, taxing us into poverty, or trying to grab our guns; they have a basic misunderstanding about our way of life and what their functions are. They are supposed to be public servants, not conspirators. So to gain votes by pandering to the feminists, they concoct a propaganda scheme to transform poor Jessica Lynch, the victim of a vehicle accident, into a GI Jane Action Hero, Bronze Star For Valor and all, when in fact, she had been dealt the best hand by avoiding capture by the Iraqi Troops, or being Killed In Action, or surrendering, like the rest of the members of her platoon had.

I don't blame Jessica Lynch - scoundrels are using her as a pawn in this contrived scenario, put out to the public. Paid public officials are trying to influence a society of sheople who feel that they need to know about our National Security. For what? Like it really matters what you think, Nimrod!

When you had a choice to voice your opinion, or do something, you remained silent, you dummied up. Not one peep was heard when they usurped our Constitution with that bogus Patriot Act or the Homeland Security - the Soviet States Fascist Plan to eliminate our Bill of Rights.

Representative Ron Paul’s Bill, "The American Sovereignty Restoration Act," was defeated in the House last week with only 74 votes in favor. This shows that our treasonous Representatives would rather cohabit with the anti American Communists of the United Nations, than provide a secure nation for Americans.

I've got a medal for these little despicable commie-loving cowards - and it's dangling!

We do deserve what we get. Ranks of idiots have infiltrated Congress, installed by a society of morons preoccupied with soap operas and sporting events, while our liberty is slowly eroding like the meaning behind; conspicuous gallantry, and extraordinary heroism, in a nation of lies, that wants us to believe that it is normal for men to marry men, and that it is normal for women to serve in combat and go off to war and get their limbs blown apart in a hot landing zone.

Whom do we thank for this contrived mess? The people or the greedy, faint-hearted politicians?

I suppose we could start with all of the couch potatoes that think that they want to know about, "what we knew when," or about "Weapons of Mass Destruction."

Nah - on second thought, forget about these brain dead zombies that get up once every two years and go to the polls to vote for another fascist traitor that wants to give away our sovereignty to the global elite.

You really don't need to know anything, and you're already too dangerous with the little bit of knowledge that you do possess, so just lay down and shut up.

Grab your remote, a plastic bottle of water and wave your flag. Don't worry-be happy, and if you'd like to, shove a gerbil up your azz while you watch "As The World Turns."

What ever you decide, it won't matter, because you are irrelevant. You are a bunch of spineless sheep, unworthy of even the simplest intramural medal of participation for a high school track meet.

Irrelevant - just like that medal on Jessica Lynch's chest, because she didn't earn it, and you have bought into a plan of false doctrine.
