The Struggle Continues: US vs. Genuine Reforms at the United Nations

The country that has long been known to abuse its powers and privileges in the United Nations is now leading a campaign to reform the same organization. While UN reforms are welcomed, if not demanded, by many of its member states, there is little reason to believe the recent US crusade is actually genuine. Rather, it seems a clear attempt to stifle any semblance of democracy in the world’s leading international institution.

Most American politicians actually despise the UN. While the Security Council is directed or tamed by the US veto (often to shield the US and its close ally Israel from any criticism), other UN bodies are not as easily intimidated. When the UN education and science agency, UNESCO, accepted Palestine’s bid for full membership last October, following a democratic vote by its members, the US could do little do stall the process. Still, it immediately cut funding to the agency (about 20 percent of its total budget).

Obama’s Kansas Declaration

Speaking to America from the Bull$hit Pulpit

Invoking former President Theodore Roosevelt, President Barrack Obama has endorsed a political philosophy antithetical to Jeffersonian liberty.

Declaring that the debate over how to restore our economy is the “defining issue of our time,” President Barrack Obama invoked former president Theodore Roosevelt’s progressive reforms of the early 20th century as a template for economic recovery today. “Roosevelt,” the President said, “… knew that the free market has never been a free license to take whatever you want from whoever you can. It only works when there are rules of the road to ensure that competition is fair, open, and honest.

Schrock Taylor: Literacy’s Last Hurrah

The decision makers in the Teaching of Reading debacle are taking a final wrong path and from this new error there will be no return. After more than six decades of untested fads, illogical theories, and futile practices, the public education show has begun its final act. “The End” will be devastation.

Einstein once predicted that the weapons of the future would be “sticks and stones.” I suggest that the educational tools of the future will be…soft clay and stiff reeds. You see, the educational-powers-that-be have now decided that schools must stop teaching cursive penmanship, which will ultimately result in a return to primitive, preliterate skills.

Knifeman: Total Chaos

What are we looking at in this country? I believe we are looking forward to a time of total chaos. Just look at what happened in Wisconsin when the union did not get their way. Now there is supposed to be a nationwide protest on September 17, 2011. What is that going to entail? I have no idea except that if it is outfits like the unions, Acorn and the other left wing organizations, it could turn real ugly.

These organizations are fasciunists, in other words they are using the same fascist tactics that the government is using to obtain for themselves the communist rules that they want. These people also border on anarchy.

Have We Created A Monster? (And If So, Is The Monster To Blame, Or Are We For Creating It?)

I am sure that at some point in your lives you have seen a movie where man creates something the ends up getting out of hand and causing more problems than anticipated. The movie Frankenstein comes to mind, as does the Terminator and Matrix movies where man created computer systems with artificial intelligence, which then rebelled against the human race with unintended consequences.

Our nation’s Declaration of Independence states that “…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…” No matter what they tell you, or what you may think, those people sitting in our nation’s capital are our servants, they are accountable to us for their actions.

Yet we the people, whether because of apathy or ignorance, have allowed our government to become this monstrous entity that now taxes and regulates us, while infringing upon our inherent God-given rights.
