What do firearms and this blessed holiday have in common? Well, for one, liberals don’t like to talk about either.
Christmas is coming. And for many Americans, that means opening gifts around the tree, big family dinners and Midnight Mass. No disrespect to Norman Rockwell – but Christmas always reminds me of shooting. Sure, I love seeing my family, gorging on the kind of food and drink that are usually impermissible during the other 11 months of the year and finding some fabulous little trinket under the tree. And every year I bring a batch of ‘Cupp-cakes’ to my local police and fire precincts. But enough of Capra. If I’m honest, it’s also about the gun.
A SHORTAGE OF AMMUNITION: Demand is up despite drop in crime rate
November 3, 2009 – In a year of job losses, foreclosures and bag lunches, Americans have spent record-breaking amounts of money on guns and ammunition. The most obvious sign of their demand: empty ammunition shelves.
At points during the past year, bullets have been selling faster than factories could make them.
Gun owners have bought about 12 billion rounds of ammunition in the past year, industry officials estimate. That’s up from 7 billion to 10 billion in a normal year.
It has happened, oddly, at a time when the two concerns that usually make people buy guns and bullets — crime and increased gun control — seem less threatening than usual.
I know some people are getting awful tired of my long winded tirades about the government infringing upon my rights. Well guess what, I am getting just as tired of having to come up with new ways to repeat the same message. I feel like a parent who has to keep repeating something over and over to a child that just refuses to listen. However, until I am successful in getting people to accept the truth, I guess I will have to keep trying to find the right combination of words to get through to them.
I wonder though, are people confusing rights with privileges?
We will not disarm.
You cannot convince us.
You cannot intimidate us.
You can try to kill us, if you think you can.
But remember, we’ll shoot back.

June 14, 2009 – Deal between NRA leadership and Democrats leaves most Republicans in the dark
Wednesday started out as a routine day in the U.S. Congress, with Representatives attending congressional hearings, meeting with constituents, perhaps devising clever new ways to pick our pockets.
At 8:30 in the morning an email went out to House Republicans indicating that a gun control bill, recently introduced by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), was on the Suspension Calendar (normally reserved for “non-controversial” bills).

May 10, 2009 – Women never cease to amaze me. The majority of them are still “afraid” of guns. Afraid, as in “oohhhh, they are so scary.” They say things like “I don’t like them around” and “they’re dangerous.” I know of women who have defense-minded, pro-gun husbands and they will not let their guy talk about those nasty things in their presence. Shhh, the children will hear, or, they might actually see an evil gun! Keep them locked away. Don’t tell the neighbors you have a gun in our house, or we’ll be outcasts. And in the background you can almost hear another feeble Oprah sermon keeping women stupid, but oh, they feel good about themselves and their newfound self-esteem.
LISTEN TO ME!!!!!!! If you do not read anything else today, PLEASE READ THIS! OBAMA’S Thugs will take your 2nd Amendment rights! You will be left defensless against criminals! Our Forefathers knew this day would come. Stupid, lazy Americans are spitting on our American heritage! Do not let this happen to your country!
