HOW TO REMOVE THE FEATHERS FROM A “FOWL” WASHINGTON DC TURKEY!
“The traditional way to clean a turkey is to pluck the feathers off and then gut the bird. This will keep the skin on the turkey which will give it more moisture and flavor after you cook it. You can also save the “giblets” (heart, liver, gizzard) from the bird and make a traditional turkey gravy later when you cook it.”

“It is preferable to pluck the turkey before removing the entrails. This keeps feathers from getting inside the bird cavity and in general keeps things cleaner. If you’ve already field-dressed the bird, don’t worry about it but be sure and rinse out the cavity good to remove any feathers when you are done plucking.”

“The Washington DC Turkey has about 545 feathers on it and you can pluck them one at a time, or remove them in large chunks by dipping the “bird” in hot water (people resistance). Some people use boiling water but many people swear that water at 140 degrees is the optimal temperature for plucking the feathers. Once the “bird” has been dipped in hot water, the feathers will come off much easier and they also are easier to handle since they are damp and they won’t fly around the room.”

In our last column entitled, “Are Americans to be Herded Like Cattle“, we laid the groundwork for this article, wherein we touched on the basic concept of “A Culture of Resistance.” As a society slips into the jaws of fascism, or the irrational mob (think Occupy Wall Street, or Greek riots) of an Absolute Democrat Monarchy, it approaches a point at which peaceful resistance is no longer an effective action against rising government tyranny. The door slams shut and that is the end of freedom. Even if the people were to engage in an armed revolt against the government, there is no guaranty that the outcome would be beneficial to the revolution, once the tipping point was reached.

Respect for legally constituted and honorable authority is good and proper for any society to exist in peace. Resistance to authority which abuses or exceeds its authorized powers is a virtue, patriotic and a wise course of action for free men of intellect and courage, if they have any hope of preserving and maintaining their freedom. When authority begins to exceed and abuse its powers, as all authority is destined to do, a culture of resistance in the people must be established to set the authority back on the track from which it was empowered. To do otherwise is to allow the authority to grow in power until it holds absolute power.

Do not try to apprehend these criminals yourself. They will in all likelihood be carrying their bible, a rifle, a handgun and survival supplies. They are to be considered armed and dangerous. Take all appropriate precautions.”

What blind suckers many Americans have become in thinking that government will be their champion. In a free society the only defense is the strength, knowledge and experience of the individual who will use that strength against all forces that would attempt to take away their life, their liberty, their property and their pursuit of happiness. Circling around all Americans today are the political and special interest vultures that get their kicks out of herding and manipulating the masses for their own gain.

The people protesting in the streets in the national “Occupy Wall Street” circus are nothing but disgruntled, ungrateful, spoiled, ner-do-well brats who don’t work but smoke pot, shoot up heroin, defecate on cop cars, engage in public sex, disrupt businesses and generally make an infuriating nuisance of themselves. They are exploited, funded and supported by unions, communists, socialists, illegal aliens, radical environmentalists, one-world-order types and the anti-war crowd. Hundreds of arrests have occurred around the country in these protests, while arrests in the millions of the peaceful folk that took part in the tea party rallies, numbered on one hand.

The thirteen colonies had devised a medium of exchange which they called script. They only printed enough of the script to keep commerce and the exchange of goods and services within the colonies, in balance. When King George and the Bank of England heard of this, they quickly passed legislation in the House of Commons to require that all taxes to the crown would be paid in gold and silver and then further increased the taxes on the colonies in the form of the Stamp Act and taxes on Tea. This act by the British quickly depleted the gold and silver of the colonies and led to a virtual depression. The only outcome of this was to force the colonials between a rock and a hard place, leading them to revolt against the King. In response to the revolt of the British subjects in the New World, the King sent in the guns and a revolution was born. The King controlled the money and the guns, leading to revolution.

That’s right, you weren’t paying attention and the evil ones slipped in the back door and took over. But is that any reason to throw your hands in the air and say, “….. what’s the use, we’re licked”? Did all the men and women in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice, give up their lives in all the wars since the Revolution so that contemporary Americans who found the road a little tough, would throw in the towel? Tell that to the over 100,000 World War II American service men that are buried in Europe, and tell that to the some 20,000 or more that are buried in the Philippines or on the other Islands in the Pacific! Tell that to the 600,000+ men and women who gave their lives to hold the Union together in the Civil War! Tell that to the tens of thousands of men and women that have sacrificed their lives, their limbs and their minds in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan! Tell that to the man or woman who came home from Iraq or Afghanistan and must now walk without legs, but he or she rises up and does it anyway! Now that is real courage.

Summer is essentially over and the barbeques and the beer, hemp, crack and block parties are winding down, as people get back in the groove for school and prepare themselves mentally for the eventual cooling of fall and the bitterness of a harsh winter. The informality of the warmer weather falls away and is replaced with pressed suits, starched shirts, conservative ties, high heels and business dresses. A self-absorbed America is humming along as it usually does, somewhat oblivious to the man-made hurricane that is hovering just over the horizon and threatening to come ashore.

Meanwhile, the poor put on warmer clothes to head for the welfare office where Obama’s stash is sitting there in vaults to be doled out to those who have lost their personal pride, self-reliance and claim no responsibility for their actions, or consider themselves victims of discrimination, or some societal-inflicted injustice of one kind or another.
