On the Record: There's Not Enough Kindness in the World!

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

On March 15th I wrote and published a column entitled, ”et tu-Bitch(es)”, wherein I made numerous (opinion) comments regarding a number of people, who have had one degree or another been involved in the battle to stop this insanity, which is commonly (and erroneously) called “Illegal Immigration.” My references to Kathy McKee in the column, I stand by them and make no apologies for, nor corrections. At no time (in the column) did I make ”uninvestigated and unfair attacks on Ken Anderson” but in fact challenged him to pick up the gauntlet in the battle once more and not be swayed by outside influences.

As many of you are aware, I have been away from the publishing desk quite a bit lately as other duties have kept me occupied. Upon returning to my studio early this morning (March 22nd) I opened my email and discovered the following letter. In addition, I also received a telephone call from the writer of said letter late yesterday afternoon, but was not in the office to receive it. I have chosen to publish her letter at this time for several reasons:

1. To set an example (of what not to do) for others.
2. To formally and publicly issue an apology to the writer.

She is absolutely correct – I do not know her, nor have we ever spoken. It is as simple as this: ”Judge not, lest ye be judged.”

After a decade or more of involvement in political activism and having broadcast on the alternative air-waves for this same length of time, I find that I have become jaded – angry at everyone and all things. One has to step back, drink a little wine and smell the roses once in awhile – and it ain’t easy to do in this time in our lives. Kudo’s to the Marty Lich’s of this world who seem to be able to juggle it all.

Oh – and by the way – for you National Enquirer, nosy types, who have nothing better to do with your time but jump into the 'he-said, she-said ' gossip – I have removed the column in question from the pages of The Federal Observer.

Dear Mr. Jeffrey Bennett,

I just read what you wrote in,”et tu-Bitch-es” March 21, 2005 and as we have never spoken, let me introduce myself to you. I am Marty Lich.

To answer your question regarding the Magic City News and “So? What happened.” What has happened is I am a columnist for Mich News now and no longer a columnist for the Magic City News. Refer back to Adios to my Readers February 7th, 2005. There is no hidden agenda, no secret attack on the “Queen B” in the works. Just a location change for me.

As far as the second portion goes; I believe Mr. Anderson answered you in absolute correctness in his comment that he posted. I learned about this, as did you, ‘after the fact’ and not before. Nothing more and nothing less here.

Last, but certainly far from being least, I am not “Marty Lich that rhymes with what?” I am Marty Lich, a wife, a mother of young children in school, who tries hard to be good at both of those most important to me life-roles as well as save our beautiful country for law-abiding American resident’s such as you, my personal friend Jan Herron, editor’s such as Ken Anderson, and my children who will grow up here. Again, nothing more, and nothing less.

In-between my fulltime job, and my home life ‘job’, and the various federal school committees I serve on, as an unpaid volunteer, I try to write as a unpaid writer as to inform people of what is being allowed to happen to our beautiful country. I am not a real writer, never have been, and likely never will be. I am appalled at our country’s politician’s ‘sell to the highest bidder’ and their resulting sell-out of legal American residents. I do want to thank you for the roundabout compliment however. I had no idea that what I said, thought, or do with regards to anything in my life has had any real impact on people outside of my family. If I am named as a Who’s Who on the Federal Observer site, I must be reaching people. My goal is non-PC education.

Please stop the mud slinging at Kathy McKee, who accomplished what we all want to see accomplished, and please stop the unfounded and unsubstantiated mud-slinging (or is that called slander and libel?) with regards to me. As well, please stop the uninvestigated and unfair attacks on Ken Anderson, editor of Magic News. I personally find that to be appalling. Mr. Anderson is a fine man and human being.

Mr. Bennett, if you really believed what you wrote, including this statement at the end of your Queen B (et tu-Bitch-es) column; “Show us what you can do to help us win this fight - DON’T just flap your jaws like braying asses” you would not write and publish these type of hearsay and unsupported non-facts, at least not without talking first to the person (s) involved or in question. As apparently I am one of those persons in question here, I can state factually you have never spoken to me about this. Or emailed me. Or ‘snail-mailed’ me for that matter. As far your statement of “the’leeches’, ’parasites’ and Queen ‘B’s’– why don’t you get down off your high-horses,” Mr. Bennett, perhaps none of us are on a High Horse but then you haven’t taken the time to find out either, have you?

Well, thank you for your time, your concern for me, and your willingness to fight for our Great Save America cause, while also fighting me — and I am a complete stranger to you.
