INVENT SOME SANITY PILLS

The world has gone berserk

By Dorothy Anne Seese

There is obviously a pill for nearly everything whether it's needed or not, as attested to by the numerous commercials on what little television I watch. So far, I have yet to see advertised the ONE pill for which the earth is crying and dying (literally) and that is a sanity pill.

From the grandma who poisons her son's kid with salt to the spy satellites put in orbit with the first Chinese astronaut in his solo spaceship, the world is raving mad, totally crazy, and on top of that it is insane.

What little sanity is left is politically incorrect and subject to censure by the press and action by the courts. If the South wants to secede, I think it blimey well should be allowed to secede and kick out all the politically correct people, and in particular the super-ecologists and neo-cons who oppose the Confederacy, the Confederate battle flag, American history as it happened, and the abolition of myths.

I am also in favor of abolishing the public school system that indoctrinates the children with trash, and the mega news giants who distort the news to make thinking people feel like they are the ones who need Prozac.

It gets tiresome to any thinking person to be told over and over what we should be thinking when we know what we should be thinking and that is "get rid of all this idiotic government telling everyone what to think." Our government is a vicious behemoth carrying the flag of liberty on its tusks while the remains of the carcass lie rotting, out of sight of the telly cameras.

Our troops have been in Afghanistan almost two years and what have we got? Warlords fighting as they have for the past eighteen hundred years, give or take a few hundred.

And opium growers. An oil pipeline. But most of all, our military consists of American men and women sent to a foreign nation to secure some real estate for US bases in Central Asia. We invaded Iraq and keep telling the American people to believe he is still alive and well (he might be) and directing all these attacks that are killing American military personnel nearly every day, along with UN diplomats and whoever else is standing around when a car bomb explodes. Is America there for the oil? Maybe. It helps. But chiefly we have another real estate grab in progress to give the US control over and space for military bases in the Middle East so we don't have to beg Arabia.

Such wars, if they can be called wars rather than just incursions or takeovers, make no sense except to the insane who push off a "war against terrorism" on the American people so they don't feel so badly when the call comes that their loved one has been killed in action. What kind of action? A war against terrorism is a war against an ideology! This one happens to have a religious flavor added to it, which makes it a sticky wicket for the neo-brainless Americans who will teach Islam in public schools against the Constitution and then violate the same Constitution by conducting a war not declared by Congress.

One thing America has never been able to successfully fight is an ideology. Reason one is that the bigwigs, elected and non-elected, have a motive for the establishment of a socialist regime and government oligarchy in this nation that has been going on since before my time, but has only recently popped out with the telltale rash. In this case, a rash of wars and killings against a shadow that we know we can't defeat but keep on firing mortars in the hope that we can keep everyone distracted against the weightier matters of the laws being violated in our own land. In the name of freedom, or liberty, or whatever sounds good.

I have a name for it but I'll have to use another: HOGWASH.

When the courts can mandate life or death for the disabled, this doesn't sound a bit like America. It sounds like ... oh you know, the funny guy with the funny moustache ... heil somebody.

When the people can be tossed off their own land, denied the water to farm it, or told what they can and cannot plant (legal crops) while the US government looks the other way at most incoming shipments of drugs from Colombia, Mexico, and wherever else the planes come from that carry the contraband, we're not a free nation any more than the ones we're "liberating." Land is the very essence of liberty but it is also the golden cache of tyrants whose serfs work it for slave wages or no wages, just doles of food.

I live in a nation that now puts a greater price on who wins the pennants for the World Series than who dies by a court mandate because they are disabled and the husband has a mistress he wants to marry. Frankly, it would scare the daylights (among other things) out of me to marry a man that conscienceless, crass, uncaring and selfish. I'd look at how he treated wife #1 and immediately think "I'm outta here." And the greater part of the American public probably doesn't recognize the name Terri Schiavo, but they sure as heck know the name Sammy Sosa.

Poor Terri will die of court-mandated starvation (absent a miracle) because she is disabled from a 1990 heart attack, and the court feels it has a right to determine whether such a person has the "quality of life" to go on living. I still believe life and death are God's business, but then God and I are both politically incorrect now. At least in Europe and the USA. Frankly, the Anglican Communion is doing better than the Episcopal Church in the USA!

I'm getting so sick of politically correct language. When did Mexicans become "Hispanics" who eat Mexican food? Is the food Mexican but the people aren't? I tried to be politically correct one time while interviewing a lady for a job taking care of my mom when she was alive and at home. She indignantly informed me she spoke Spanish but she was NOT "Hispanic" she was Panamanian. Panama was her home. I gather from that episode that not all Spanish-speaking people wish to be called Hispanics. Only Mexicans. Now, why? If they don't like being called Mexican, why don't they change the name of the country?

I've also been through the names Negro, colored folks, African-Americans, and now blacks. That disturbs me. Those people aren't black and I am not white. We are all shades of light tan to very dark brown but no one is actually white or pure black in color. Yet no one objects to a country named Niger, which means black. Or Nigeria. Same deal. What the hey is going on in America? We can't call things what others call things? Everyone is offended? You have to be offended to get any media coverage?

Well, I am offended at all this insanity going around and the media is not at my door with their TV cameras, and if they were they'd get an earful.

Frankly I am sick of being fed media-made cowpies and told they're pancakes. To me, PC is a computer and that is that! The media can go suck up to some imaginary victim that's good for their liberal cause in the scheme to dismantle America, at least the one I knew. My America was full of termites all along and has been since long before my time, but we didn't have any way to know it unless we were insiders. The general public, however, was a lot freer and a lot less violent.

Now, back at the pharmaceutical houses that invent pills for allergies, impotence, backaches, sinus, and nearly everything else in the doctor's book of diseases and ailments, WHERE ARE THE SANITY PILLS?

Oh, the FDA banned them. Well, that makes sense. Sanity is dangerous to government schemes and frauds.

I guess the sane shall write the truth, and the media and the public shall ignore them as "radicals." Another day on the planet of the Mad Hatters.
