What Evil Lurks in the Mind of a Political Sychophant?

By Rick Biesda

I was amused with a critique of my recent 9-12-03 Federal Observer article; Eternal Vigilance, which also ran in an abridged form in The Illinois Leader, the preeminent Illinois conservative publication, by a retired former assistant Illinois Attorney General; John E. M'cNeal.

Mr. McNeal disputes my concerns for the infringements on our rights by the enactment of The Patriot Act and other intrusions of privacy by the totalitarian methods of spying on us with the use of Radio Frequency Identification Chips. Spy chips as small as dust particles to be put into every thing that we own or wear, to monitor our every activity or transaction.

According to former Assistant Attorney General McNeal, we have nothing to worry about, we should rely on and place our confidence in our government to keep us safe, just like those American Citizens, The Branch Davidians and Randy and Vicky Weaver did.

Assistant ATG. McNeal favors the methods of our Republic's "check and balance system," a noble idea if it would work the way that it was intended to work, but it doesn't. Our legislature no longer legislates, and our judicial system no longer abides by our constitution. Our republic's check and balances have become a feeble and rusted out mechanism in our system of justice, because this system can only work if it is monitored by trustworthy, honest, and principled people with integrity.

Surely Asst. ATG. McNeal doesn't want us to rely on this same system that let President Clinton, and the DNC slide for receiving unlawful campaign contributions? This same checks and balance system that said nothing about China receiving advanced satellite and nuclear technology, that put our national security in perilous danger, and this same checks and balances that will not enforce our immigration laws because of political appeasement? This system that won't prosecute the Clintons for malfeasance in office but, this very same "checks and balance system," that gave us a hastily enacted Patriot Act, like a thief in the night, stealing our freedom and liberty?

This is a sick notion, to place our confidence in the Nanny state that wants to stick it's nose into every facet of our life, and stretch it's tentacles into every facet of business, allowing nothing to escape without paying tribute, according to Thomas Paine (The Rights Of Man, 1791-1792) Give me a break, McNeal, ha,ha,ha, you want us to what? Depend on a government that wants to regulate everything up to and including the capacity of our toilets? Never the less, Dr. McNeal(PHD) diagnosed me as being paranoid and inferred that I was a right winged whacko, whom conservatives should be careful to associate with. Gee! Beat me baby, make me write bad checks. Who said that I wanted to be associated with you?

My first impulse after reading his witless diatribe ( The Illinois Leader 9-23-03, Biesada sees Patriot Act boogie men) was just a petty annoyance from a disgruntled reader, but the closing in his letter to the editor left a very telling message of a biased political party sycophant, who doesn't want to relinquish power at any price.

John E. McNeal, Retired Assistant Illinois Attorney General
Conservative Republican Activist
United Republican Fund, Member of the Board of Directors
Former Republican Committeeman: 9th Congressional district & 48th Ward
**Chair: Reagan - Bush Illinois Ballot security 1984 **

WOW! I'm impressed. I bet this guy displays two Chinese made American flags on his automobile, and I'm also impressed with the narrow-mindedness of his deceptive thinking. He is blinded by party politics, and doesn't want his party to lose power at any cost, no matter what the evidence bears out; demonize the messenger, when you can't logically dispute the facts. Bush is running scared with low approval ratings and my old girl friend, "O'l Paint Hillary," is breathing down his back. Naturally these political party sycophants have to sound like alarmists because they are terrified of losing their parasitic, patronage positions. It's a matter of survival, not principled politics and justice for all, that concept went out the back door with Abe Lincoln.

My article was actually inspired from an alert message I had received from Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership [http://www.jpfo.org]

Apparently these gun owners don't want to be condemned to repeat bad history, inspite of McNeal’s confidence in our Republicratic system of ”checks and balances”.

[Editor’s Note: The problem is that ”they” all keep writing the checks, but nothing ever seems to balance!]

I had included the following Hermann Goering quote in this article sent to me by my old buddy and mentor, investigative reporter, Pat Shannon, whose documentary about the Oklahoma City Bombing and apparent cover up: Murder In The Heartland should be required reading for every assistant attorney general, prosecutor, and citizen, of our country.

”Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked - denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
Hermann Goering

Professor McNeal claims that this quote was a fallacy and incorrect because it was held by Nazi leaders. This wasn't the point of the quotation, the fact that this method of terrorism would "work the same in any country," was the object of this exercise.

Hitler burned the Reichstag and accused the Communist's of setting the fire to gain power. During that period of time Hitler was hailed for his views by many prominent government officials such as Neville Chamberlain, who was deceived into believing that Hitler would not proceed with a war, just as some people would like to deceive us about "Radio Frequency Spy Chips," were meant only to catch shop lifters.

Committeeman McNeal, would like us to believe that evil exists only outside the borders of the Continental United States, and for a person that admonishes relying on our checks and balance system, he speaks with the wisdom of an infant child.

Our government is corrupt, there's no doubt about it, some slimey rascals have to be up rooted and ferreted out. Patronage parasites are the least likely persons to be held in a trusted position. Most of these bureaucrats would turn their backs on a little bit of corruption, to advance their parasitic being.

Today’s Chicago Sun Times Headlines read: Feds Allege 100 Million Minority Contract Scam. Last week we had political operative Roger "the hog" Stanley sentenced to 27 months in the slammer, and a few weeks before that it was Scott Fawell, former chief of staff to former Governor George Ryan. Fawell, the son of a former State representative and judge, was sent away for six years to join his buddy, former Illinois Inspector General, Dean Bauer, who is probably crocheting a spiffy looking mini skirt for young Scotty, as we speak.

Maybe those Radio Frequency Spy Chips are a good idea after all, if we limit their usage exclusively to politicians and their chambers, while they are conducting business as usual.

Today’s report of a 30 count indictment accuses seven people of racketeering and fraudulently securing janitorial and custodial contracts at O'Hare field and The Harold Washington Library. This scam could not have occurred with out the aid of government insiders. The same people profit from huge political contributions from these same insider bandits, and the same people hire loyal political foot soldiers as assistants to perpetuate this corrupt system of greed, or turn their backs on it in order to advance their political agenda.

These political party stooges are scary. They are the problem not part of the solution, and as long as they hold positions where they can lie, misrepresent, or distort information to advance their agenda, we will never go back to our founders vision of freedom and liberty.

George Washington warned that "political party bias, was a sure sin." I can see where this Assistant Attorney General is coming from, as chairman of a Reagan- Bush committee, his loyalty, I'm sure, lies with the political party, not the people. Pushing an agenda that may not be conducive to the peoples interest, and probably wouldn't have the slightest objection to our Homeland Security, violating a citizens rights.

I realize that the majority of The Federal Observer, readers need no explanation to our loss of liberty or intrusions upon our privacy. Are we all to be considered "right winged whacko’s ," because of this knowledge? Not being worthy to be associated with a conservative movement that:

1. Associates with a government that will not perform it's basic duty of closing our borders and repelling invasions by the enemy, both foreign and domestic.
2. Cares more about fund raising and appeasing voters than taking care of constitutional government business and providing peace and tranquility among the states.
3. Has a Supreme Court that circumvents our sovereignty. Four out of the six Justices that voted to affirm the sodomy case which defies logic, Lawrence vs. Texas, were appointed by Republican Presidents.
4. A president who has not vetoed one unwieldy spending bill, and has done little to pare down spending on witless social programs, for the slick , lame, and lazy mooches of our society.
5. An administration who doesn't back up it's members and leaves them hanging out to dry in favor of appeasing socialist leaning liberals and a squishy press.

This list could go on all night, but I'm sure you get the picture. Would we want to ride with a neutered band of monkeys like this? HELL NO! We don't want to get contaminated!

Just for curiosity, I'd welcome any comments from our readers as to your views of the Patriots Act, Radio Frequency Spy Chips, and of being maligned for our views, if we don't march to the same lame tune of these neo-conservative, patronage parasites who suck out of the public trough, with their assistants, and who probably have never lifted a finger to secure our liberty, but tell somebody else’s child to pick up a gun. I would be interested to hear from other paranoid patriots.

As for retired former Assistant Attorney General J. Fredrick M'cNeal, I'm glad he's retired and not making a nuisance of himself in our courts. I know all about assistants, I have a couple assistants working for me. They sweep out my trailers and run for coffee, but this guy is special. He's a real loyal soldier type assistant. The kind of a prosecutor that might possibily, ignore a little evidence to get a conviction, in lieu of a win for his team. Just like some other prosecutors had done, and wrongly condemned 17 people to death row in Illinois. Would you consider this to be diabolical or paranoid?

I think Mr. McNeal deserves a little national recognition, and I recommend that we preserve his brain in a jar at the Smithsonian Institute, or study it to gain some insight into the relationship between tunnel vision and blind loyalty; just to see what makes a biased party sycophant tick.
