RESERVED FOR FIRE: WAITING FOR THE LORD'S RETURNBy Dorothy Anne Seese None who are observers of times, trends and events need me to tell them that this world cannot go on like it is, the path is so obviously one of self-destruct as to be obvious to the dense, the nearly illiterate and the chronically simple. Nor are problems relegated to one or even a few locales on earth, they are everywhere in one fashion or another. Look at all the animals that were slaughtered in Great Britain when "mad cow" and then "foot and mouth" broke out on that island. Coincidence? Conspiracy? It matters not, it happened. All things that happen are part of a greater plan that will come to pass regardless of which players are cast in which roles. God doesn't have any big shots in His kingdom. He has unconditional love expressed in the Person of His Son, given at Calvary, risen and ascended to Heaven, soon returning. And He has prepared, from before the foundation of the world, His Kingdom wherein no evil resides.
We can be assured of one thing -- this world will not be destroyed by a great flood as it was in the days of Noah. The covenant of the rainbow was given as an everlasting reminder of that promise. This world is reserved for fire, and prior to the great conflagration that ends this age of human rule under satan's usurped power as the "god of this world" there may be many wars, many famines, plagues, pestilences, and barbarism, as man under satan's control divests himself of all love, of the final vestiges of those qualities that define him as having been originally created in God's image. The program is well under way with worldwide lasciviousness, greed, lusts, carnage, hatred, barbarism, fanaticism, loss of moral compass, loss of humanity, increased bestiality and degradation of the worst sorts imaginable. Such a world cannot and will not continue, whether there is or is not an "illuminati" with plans to control the world, its population and its destiny. They are fools without hope and beings without conscience, whose destruction will come swiftly and suddenly, and that without warning. The best that those who love America can do is to work to stave off the wrath of God against this nation by proclaiming its ills and calling for its return to sanity, but whether it will work or not isn't as dependent upon the zeal of the patriots as it is the Great Time Clock of God, whose eternal plan is in progress and accelerating daily as we, the living, are hurtled on our celestial orb through time and space in a precisely perfect universe. But even that will be replaced, for we are to have both a new heavens and a new earth after the final conflagration, when all humanity stands at the great day of judgment. Scoffers will scoff and say those who believe this are mad, and yet we have been proclaiming what God's word says about these times for decades. They are upon us, everyone sees them but not everyone sees the underlying plan and purpose, or the Great Director of the entire program. I would challenge folks to read Matthew, chapters 24 and 25, but especially chapter 24 and say that these things were not told in advance, in fact, two millenia ago. Then read the book of the Revelation and see what has unfolded progressively in judgment after judgment upon an evil race of fallen humans and say "this is poppycock." Some do just that, but they may as well look in the mirror and say "that's my cousin." Saying it doesn't make it so. But when God says it, it is as though it were already a fait accompli, because outside of spacetime exists the eternal now. Eternity is not a long, long time, it is the absence of time. Certainly evils have permeated the churches, all denominations. Yes the Church of Rome has some serious problems. Yes certain protestant ministers have disgraced their calling and become merchants of rubbish. The tares were prophesied to grow amongst the wheat and be like the wheat until they were revealed for what they are ... weeds in God's fields. At that point they are plucked up and cast out to be burned. Right now, we're just identifying them. The judgment is God's in His time. What shall we do? We who are His, the called and elect, know that we belong to one Shepherd, we hear His voice, we do His bidding, and obey His commands. And what was His primary command? That we should unconditionally love one another. Love is never without discipline or admonition along with encouragement and edification, building one another up in love and strengthening those who are feeling defeated or overwhelmed. Because of the times we are living in, I was yanked away from my virtual newsdesk and my op-ed work to begin again the serious study I did for twenty-some years prior to fracturing my back. Devotions are not enough now. It's back to school and back to work in a new calling, of which this is the first written statement. This world is absolutely doomed and has been since before the foundation of the world, as one will see by reading the Bible. It had an antediluvian civilization that is just now beginning to be discovered in great ruins off Japan, the Philippines, the southeast coast of India, the Black Sea, and into the Caribbean. The Flood was worldwide because Noah wasn't a super cave man in a leopard tunic batting together a flimsy ark with a club. The antediluvians were a sophisticated civilization with extensive knowledge of engineering and other sciences, and this can be determined just from the few areas that have been discovered around the world. The Bible says little about them other than to describe their judgment for their intense evil, the full corruption of their hearts and minds. As in the days of Noah, so shall the return of the Son of Man be ... this time not unto salvation but unto a final judgment. For some, this is the best news in the world, it is a new beginning to eternal joy. For others, it is the end of all their false hopes and dreams of glory ... it is final judgment for sin. "There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."
