Benson: Two Sets Of Rules

It should be abundantly clear to most of us who inhabit this sinful world that, when it comes to real justice, mostly, there is “just us” and no one else to help. I have often watched Sean Hannity on Fox News refer to what we have in this country as a “two-tiered system of justice.” Mr. Hannity is right on target. That is exactly what we have–one set of rules for us ordinary peons and entirely another set for those who are the Elite–the Deep State, the Establishment, or whatever you choose to call them.

What we would be thrown in the slammer for they automatically get a “get out of jail card” for. They are not held to the same standards as we are. It’s almost like “We, because of our ‘eliteness’ deserve to be treated better than you great unwashed rabble, because, after all, we are special and the rest of you are so common.” It’s like they are the “enlightened” ones while we are the “deplorables” – in the words of one of their most well-known (and devious).

Nothing could display this more than the by-now infamous Mueller “Witch Hunt” for all those “Russian collusionists.” Well, at least for all those Russian collusionists that are associated with Mr. Trump. Of course they may not really be collusionists, but that makes no difference whatever. If they have, in any way, associated with Mr. Trump in the last thirty years, they are automatically suspect of something, and if Herr Mueller cannot find a ham sandwich to indict, then he will settle for one of them.

You have to give him credit. In over a year he has turned up nothing, but not to worry – he will doggedly continue on until something turns up, no matter how inconclusive or worthless.

However, for those willing to see, something has turned up–Russian collusion with Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, and much of the Democratic Party. The Uranium One deal with Putin is one thing that readily comes to mind and it’s pretty clear what went on with all that. Has Herr Mueller seen all that? He should, as he and other friends in the FBI were involved in it. But, again, not to worry, Mueller is making sure what he and his friends and the Clintons have all been complicit it gets no notice whatever. In fact, you could honestly say that Herr Mueller is one of the biggest slight-of-hand artists there is.

His part of this agenda is to make sure any of Trump’s friends who might have had Russian dressing on their salad thirty years ago gets an automatic subpoena as a “Russian collusionist” while at the same time, studiously ignoring all that he, Hillary, and their friends have done to help Russia get a major chunk of our uranium. To say that lots of dinero changed hands in their efforts would be to belabor the obvious.

So, while Trump or some of his friends may go to jail for, literally nothing worth mentioning, Mueller, Hillary, and Company will literally walk free.

Don’t hold your breath in this life waiting to see justice done.

I realize, in the final judgment no one gets away with anything and the Lord will set it all to rights and it will be like the rich man and Lazarus in the Bible. But we don’t know just how far off that will be. I imagine there are lots and lots of us who have watched as the Clintons and their cronies have, literally, gotten away with murder for decades and some of us would, just once in our lifetimes, like to see the grossly guilty get whats coming to them!

Update: This is a little off subject, but important nonetheless. Last week Trump said: “We’ll be coming out of Syria, like very soon. Let the other people take care of it now. Very soon, very soon, we’re coming out…We’re going to get back to our country…”

You have to wonder why he did what he did in Syria last evening in the face of such a statement. It’s the exact opposite of what he promised. So what happened? Did the Deep State finally come up with a way to co-opt him, to get control of him so he’d be forced to do what they all have been clamoring for??? Something really rotten is going on and it does not bode well for America or normal Americans. When Trump goes back on what he said and starts doing the bidding of the Deep State you know something is has really gone wrong. Is he, in some way, being blackmailed, or what? Keep an eye on things because I have the feeling the country is about to get shafted–big time!

Mr. Benson, you and I have many differences. For one, you live in a sinful world. I live in an beautiful world filled with the promise of each new generation, a world that has been increasingly peaceful over the centuries, where individuals have more rights and more power and more security and safety than ever in thousands of years of history, and have more say over their future than ever before.

“[W]hen it comes to real justice, mostly, there is “just us” and no one else to help.” In my world, we have many avenues for redress of grievance. I live in the USA.

“[O]ne set of rules for us ordinary peons and entirely another set for those who are the Elite–the Deep State, the Establishment, or whatever you choose to call them.”

Pick a term, Al. the Establishment includes millions of conservatives and civil servants, the Deep State is a paranoid fiction, and the Elite (politically speaking) is comprised mostly of Republicans and the billionaire donors who tell them what to do. Your vote—and mine—don’t count for much, and never have. That’s not whining, that’s a fact established by academic researchers who used mathematics to study the correlation between congressional decisions, the popular vote, and big donations.

Of course there are two sets of rules. There are many sets of rules, and most of them have as their purpose keeping the rule makers in their place on top of others. What makes you think it could be otherwise? Don’t tell me you still believe life should be fair.

Let me present the case against fairness and the case against a single system of justice with an extreme example that I think everyone can understand. Let’s say a man takes a woman (not his wife) to a hotel and uses a stolen credit card to check into the hotel. He is discovered. Jail time would probably seem fair to most of us. One system of justice, after all.

But no. You see, the man is a soldier overseas, war is close at hand, and he has a particular set of not-too-common skills that is hard to obtain—he is a vital resource for fulfilling his commander’s mission, for preventing many American casualties, and for winning the war. Now, shall we throw him in jail, or let him do his vital duty as he is uniquely prepared to do? Fortunately for our national security, his commander decides which system of justice will be used.

You see, some people are more important than others.

And that, my friend, is exactly how Trump has lived his entire life. When his businesses run out of money, banks don’t quickly foreclose on him. When his companies go bankrupt, banks lend him even more money. I think it is because they believe he has a special set of skills. In fact, he IS the consummate salesman, promising the moon, delivering a truckload of rocks and dirt, then convincing you with his charisma that he has, indeed, given you the moon.

“[I]f Herr Mueller cannot find a ham sandwich to indict, then he will settle for one of them.” I’ll ignore your insinuation and name-calling, except to point out that Mueller has been widely known as the consummate professional law enforcement in his career of service to our country. No one has ever questioned his integrity until the Trumpians noticed Mueller was turning up criminals and traitors who were working for Trump.

In fact, Al, he has indicted many of Trump’s lieutenants, and their partners, including Russians, and he has gotten guilty pleas from some of them. Others have been found guilty in court. Mueller has been digging up criminals who surrounded the president, including lawyers, and including rich boys who worked hand-in-glove with Russians to launder money and to funnel rubles into the campaign to elect Trump.

You mention Russian collusion with Hillary, the Clinton Foundation and “much of the Democratic Party, and immediately cite the “Uranium One deal with Putin.”

My God, Al! Where do you get your news?

You said that “Hillary…help[ed] Russia get a major chunk of our uranium.”

OK, Al. Here are easily verified facts you can look up yourself. (And I suggest you steer clear of the media that has been “informing” you so far—they have left you believing lies and having no clue about the truth.)

Uranium One is about a Canadian company that had permission to mine uranium inside the US. They were allowed to mine it and sell it—inside the US, to American customers, for use within our borders.

The Russian government’s nuclear energy company, Rosatom, made an offer to buy stock in the Canadian company Uranium One on the open stock exchange. Having stock in U-One would allow Rosatom to share in its profits. If they had the majority of U-One’s stock, then they would have a lot of power, by hiring and firing the CEO according to the bylaws of the company.

Somehow, someone convinced many Americans that Uranium was being sold to Russians. It wasn’t. In fact, uranium can’t leave the country without a great deal of scrutiny by many US agencies.
And then, of course, Hillary wasn’t involved in the U-One deal at all.

First of all, the US government cannot deny a Russian—or anyone—from buying the stock. Secondly, eight major agencies approved the deal; the State Dept was one of the eight. And the State Dept representative on that board has said that Hillary never once interfered with his job on that board ever, at all.

To sum up, Al: Yes, there are some people in the world who are judged by different standards. Whites and Blacks, poor people and rich people, police officers and repeat offenders, peons like you and me and those who have the talent, tools, and power to move nations toward peace or war, prosperity or poverty. That’s the way is has always worked, and that system has worked to make America as great as it is. Got a problem with that?

    Mike,

If you are not a paid troll for the Globalists…you are missing out on some easy money bud…and I hear Soros pays by the post…you have some serious residual income due you just from your PC BS fairy tales on the Federal Observer.

Folks, Mike actually says or evidently believes: “the Deep State is a paranoid fiction”

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa…oh man…thanks for the hearty laugh. I knew you were lost but not blind too.

Those 7 words have forever put you into one of two categories:

    1. As an intentional subversive trolling Conservative websites seeding laughable Leftist talking points

    OR

    2. An idealistic true believer…or in other words a *a Useful Innocent.

*Useful innocents, appears in Austrian-American economist Ludwig von Mises’ 1947 book, Planned Chaos. Von Mises wrote that the term was used by communists for liberals, whom von Mises describes as “confused and misguided sympathizers”.[

Hey Mike…new poll out…it says 74% of Americans don’t have their head stuck in the sand. I think the 2 out of 8 that do are either true *subversives or are just Useful Innocents lost in the Leftist talking points cornflakes, just saying.

74% OF AMERICANS SAY THE ‘DEEP STATE’ EXISTS

There’s been talk of a “deep state” or “shadow government” at work against the administration since President Trump was elected, echoed in breathless news reports and mysterious op-eds. The “Deep State” lives, however. It is a real phenomenon to Americans, according to a new Monmouth University poll.

“The term Deep State refers to possible existence of a group of unelected government and military officials who secretly manipulate or direct national policy,” the survey noted — revealing some startling results.

The poll found that 74 percent of respondents said the deep state “definitely” or “probably” exists, a sentiment that was almost identical through multiple demographics, including political and ideological persuasions, among men and women, and even among age and income groups. It’s deeper than we think.

“We usually expect opinions on the operation of government to shift depending on which party is in charge. But there’s an ominous feeling by Democrats and Republicans alike that a ‘deep state’ of unelected operatives are pulling the levers of power,” says Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute.

Find the numbers in the Poll du Jour at column’s end — along with insight on public concerns about “the U.S. government monitoring their activities or invading their privacy,” among other things.

“Fully 8-in-10 believe that the U.S. government currently monitors or spies on the activities of American citizens,
