Ron Paul will probably win the 1/3/2012 Iowa Caucus, and the Republican Party is applying as much damage control as possible without fully tipping their hand — as if we all can’t see the exact cards they are holding.
For several months now, the Republican Party has enlisted their sympathetic media to gently but firmly suggest Ron Paul cannot be taken seriously as a presidential candidate for his stand on, among other things, foreign policy. What they don’t get is that most true conservative Americans totally agree with Ron Paul as soon as they find out where he stands, and more and more of them are just now reaching that epiphany.
I previously wrote that Newt Gingrich’s sudden and unexpected surge in the polls would fizzle-out and that Ron Paul would be the ultimate beneficiary of Herman Cain’s departure. Now a former top Michelle Bachman supporter and campaign manager has defected and thrown his own support to Ron Paul. Needless to say, Ron Paul’s star is just now reaching its zenith over all the other contenders, and for most true conservative voters, it is hindsight and regret for not giving Ron Paul the chance he (and we) deserved the last presidential election that seems to be driving his popularity.
From the Middle 1920′s till the Interstates were paved,
Two legends served our nation, “Sixty Six” and Burma-Shave!
The Mother Road would carry us through valleys, mountains, plains,
While poem signs of Burma-Shave would keep us entertained!
She started at Lake Michigan where the Windy City reigns.
She wound her way across the land through deserts, mountains, plains.
In honor of her poignant role her title was bestowed.
She’s destined to for ever be our nation’s Mother Road.

Like the Model T’s and Model A’s she bore the pain and tears,
Of starving masses seeking hope in Great Depression years.
And when we entered World War II in 1941,
She joined our march to victory until the peace was won.
A couple of days ago a friend (thanks Wendy) sent me a video of discussion from the floor of the US Senate on S1867, or the National Defense Authorization Act as it is commonly known. The video can be found HERE.
In this video you will notice some of our elected officials advocating for “enhanced” interrogation techniques to be used on those whom some bureaucrat in our government might deem to be potential terrorists. If past performance may be used as an indicator, the fact some like-minded bureaucrats once determined a 14 inch shoestring to be an automatic weapon, should not inspire anyone with confidence in the ability or discernment of any bureaucrat.
Those were the first words my friend, Ambassador Lee Emil Wanta, asked aloud when he was thrown into a Swiss dungeon in Lausanne on 7 July 1993: “How the hell did we get here?”
Who was “we?” He asked the question of the Lord, Jesus Christ whom Wanta knows is always with him. Only someone with strong faith could have survived the experiences visited on Lee by those who want to tear down our Republic and replace it with a socialist empire. They needed the $27.5 trillion he had amassed over the years in his numerous Title 18 Section 6 corporations while reporting directly to President Ronald Reagan.
Many people make resolutions to start the year, but I think a list of things that must be done to protect and preserve the Republic should be tallied.
1. President Obama must be defeated in 2012 and the obstructionist Democratic Party must lose power in the Senate to ensure both houses of Congress will be Republican and in a position to initiate real change.
2. The Environmental Protection Agency must be reined in with increased Congressional oversight and legislative limits on its rule-making capacity. Having fulfilled its 1970 mandate to clean the nation’s air and water, it should be scaled back to the maintenance of these functions.

It seems that more and more Americans are becoming fed up with their government, as the approval ratings for both Congress and the President hover near record lows. This can be attested to by the increasing numbers of people who have come out in support of Ron Paul. The 2012 Presidential elections may give us a clearer picture as to how many of disgruntled voters there really are, but will they tell the whole picture? Will they be voters who are simply disgusted by the constant bickering and gridlock between the two parties; will they be people who want a return to a more responsible and limited government as outlined by our Constitution; or will they be people who have finally come to understand that there is something else going on besides incompetence and partisan rivalry?
The first question I want to ask the president and all the members of congress is why did you hate the way America was? The saying goes ‘love it or leave it’. Why are you still living here? Why did you tell us you wanted to serve and represent your fellow citizens, then turn your back on us and our country?
We did not plan or carry out the attacks on America on Sept. 11th 2001, but you have treated us like we did. You’ve sent our valiant soldiers to the other side of the world to avenge 9/11 and stop another attack, but have stood silently by while there was an invasion of the U.S. at our southern border. Why have you failed to protect us from that?

Most of the history of this world is littered with pain, suffering, and despair. Only in rare brief periods of time did any sort of logic & rationality influence the tenor of daily life. When it did, the common people could live in relative peace & prosper.
Someone ought to let mainstream news producers know that the nearly 4,500 US soldiers killed in the Iraq war were not the only victims. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have also been killed as a result of the unwarranted US invasion, and many more have been wounded and/or forever maimed.
Chances are, all of these Iraq war victims would still be alive today were it not for former President George Bush and his band of neoconservatives. Demonstrating a bizarre mix of evangelical ambition, cowboy bravado and the pathological desire to ‘keep Israel secure’, Iraq was destroyed over and over again.
