The Wall Street protesters, in their hatred of capitalism, overlook things including the fact that over the last 100 years capitalism has reduced poverty more and increased life expectancy more than in the
100,000 years prior.
Every semester I ask my students: “What would you rather be? King of England in 1263 or you?” Turns out, students would rather be themselves. They enjoy using their iPhone, indoor plumbing, central heating, refrigerators and electric lighting. All of these things are available to the average person in America today and none of them were available to the aristocracy when the West operated under the feudal system.

Politically Correct Resolution: “Embezzlement and *peculation mean almost the same thing, but differ in that embezzlement is used mainly to describe the criminal actions of a private citizen, such as an individual stealing from their employer, while PECULATION usually applies to the larger-scale misappropriation of public or collective funds by people holding positions of trust within the organization managing those funds, such as the government”.

In our last column entitled, “Are Americans to be Herded Like Cattle“, we laid the groundwork for this article, wherein we touched on the basic concept of “A Culture of Resistance.” As a society slips into the jaws of fascism, or the irrational mob (think Occupy Wall Street, or Greek riots) of an Absolute Democrat Monarchy, it approaches a point at which peaceful resistance is no longer an effective action against rising government tyranny. The door slams shut and that is the end of freedom. Even if the people were to engage in an armed revolt against the government, there is no guaranty that the outcome would be beneficial to the revolution, once the tipping point was reached.
The decision makers in the Teaching of Reading debacle are taking a final wrong path and from this new error there will be no return. After more than six decades of untested fads, illogical theories, and futile practices, the public education show has begun its final act. “The End” will be devastation.
Einstein once predicted that the weapons of the future would be “sticks and stones.” I suggest that the educational tools of the future will be…soft clay and stiff reeds. You see, the educational-powers-that-be have now decided that schools must stop teaching cursive penmanship, which will ultimately result in a return to primitive, preliterate skills.
We are living in times when the structures involving the global financial system, national security, and self-governance are under attack, decaying, or just self-destructing due to all the ills to which humanity is prone.
Wars in the twentieth century were always an example of either the failure of nations to resolve their differences or of the ancient human inclination to steal whatever they can from their neighbor. Wars organize this into armies for that purpose. The other cause for war is the necessity to rid the neighborhood of the crazy guy who’s hoarding weapons and building bombs.
The DemocRATS want tax increases (large tax increases) mainly because that is all they know how to do tax and spend.
They want the Republicans to nix the tax increases and they will keep doing this until the Bush tax cuts expire, which will automatically increase taxes big time, (a real job killer) which is exactly what they want, and then they can say see people, it is those damned Republicans that are responsible.

It is no secret that Goldman Sachs runs Wall Street. Even Ray Charles could see that that Goldman Sachs runs our government as evidenced by the former Goldman Sachs gangsters who have run our economy into the ground (e.g., Clinton’s Secretary of Treasury Goldman Sachs’ Rubin, Bush’s Secretary of Treasury Goldman Sachs’ “too big to fail” Paulson, etc.).
Goldman Sachs dominates the Federal Reserve. Goldman Sachs dominates the World Bank. Goldman Sachs dominates the IMF. And now Goldman Sachs is running the European financial system into the ground as another Goldman Sachs boy, “Super” Mario Monti, has taken over Italy to finish off what is left of the Italian financial system. Monti is also the head of the European Trilateral Commission as well as a Bilderberger. And yet another Goldman Sachs boy is finishing off the job in Greece.
~ Foreword ~In 2003, on my then daily radio program, Perspectives on America, I warned harshly about the coming collapse in the real estate market in America. Not even I realized how devastating the bursting of the bubble would be. Two years later, I sold a home which I had purchased only 21 months earlier – for a $198,000 profit, only to purchase a home, which within three years, lost 70% of it’s 2005 top of the market value of $420,000 (we did not pay that price).
Since the passing of this legislation, it opened the doors for banks to become more greedy – and in many cases – ultimately fail. This, along with legislation passed during the Clinton Administration which, forced the relaxing of lending practices for banks and mortgage institutions, which have contributed significantly to our nations financial demise.

Occupy Wall Street is attacking the wrong fat-cats! (Ed.)
As Liaison Officer for the Southern Oregon Militia, I thought I’d seen everything a corrupt police department could dish out, but this one really takes the cake and illustrates just how bad it is to live here in, “paradise”.
This 18 year-old young man named Michael Filippi Jr. was driving his motorcycle down the street when he passed a Medford motorcycle cop going the other direction. In Oregon there is a requirement for motorcycles to be driven with headlights on, and the motorcycle had a broken headlight, so young Filippi looked in his rear view mirror and saw the cop activate his lights — still going the other direction. Michael didn’t want to get a fix-it ticket, plus he was driving without a motorcycle endorsement on his license and he had no insurance, so he made a right turn at the next intersection, then turned left into a parking lot that backed up to his father’s back yard. Michael got off the bike, parked it and hopped over the fence, where he left his helmet and backpack on the backyard trampoline. That was NOT eluding a police officer, either on the vehicle or on foot. There was no pursuit, and Michael Filippi Jr. was around the corner before the motorcycle cop even turned around to look for him. For all Michael Jr. knew, the cop put on his lights going the other way to stop someone else or answer an emergency call.
