The government is often referred to as a “Ship of State”, and thanks to national socialism, is flying the flag of piracy – socialist piracy. Contrary to popular belief, joining up with a sinking pirate ship does not repair it. But the government strenuously encourages us to “join the crew” and participate in “officer selection”, while ignoring the piracy, the gaping hole and the rising water level.

Why?

Once government gets your consent, it can always justify taking more and more. And when you “join the crew” and vote, you are definitely “sunk”.

There is always some issue, problem or triviality that can be escalated into a “Federal case” that can only be resolved by more government, more bureaucracy, more taxes, and less freedom, less liberty, and less independence. Because the purpose of socialist collectivist pirate government is to profit at the expense of non-government. (If the government people didn’t want to “gain” from their “service”, they’d work for free.) Every new government employee or recipient is now compelled to vote in support of his own self interest, regardless of the ultimate doom ahead. Even the most populist candidates for “captaincy” of the “Ship” can’t change the course of such a mindless bloated behemoth.

When no spending restraints are in place, the mindless bureaucracy and political machinery will devour ever more resources until nothing remains, because people will do anything they can get away with. And inside of government, that awesome power is easily perverted into tyranny, corruption, abuse and dissolution. Ultimately, the supposed beneficiaries of government benevolence become victims as are the dispossessed tax payers. Because anything the government gives must be taken from someone else – and recipients surrender their birthright, because “Beggars can’t be choosers.”

Such a split between the “takers” and the “taken” strikes a death blow to the integrity of the nation, for the purpose of any government or nation-state is to cooperate in the mutual defense of property rights. Once polarized into opposing interest groups, the capacity of the nation to defend itself is crippled. In short, the union is destroyed when government is perverted into socialism – taking from one group to give to another. For the two sides will be forever in enmity. Those who are “taken” will not suffer in defense of their persecutors, and those who are “takers” believe they are entitled to the booty stolen, and will not embrace self sacrifice nor any duty to defend their unwilling benefactors – why should they? Just look at the vituperation of the OWS denunciations of the “greedy” corporations. Do you think that either side is going to ignore their differences and unite to secure each other’s rights?

No “professional” (mercenary) military can preserve a fractured nation, so divided.

Remedy
The first and best principle of government should be (a) secure rights and (b) govern those who consent. Anything more is suspect. Anything less is unacceptable. Roll back the Federal budget by 93.2%, cutting all that is NOT explicitly securing rights, and fully inform those who consented to the remainder that unless they withdraw, ante up and shut up.

And if trapped aboard the sinking Ship of State, withdraw from it, and head for “dry land” (law of the land/common law).

In unity, is strength.
In disunity, is destruction.
