Cantor: Let the Games Begin

The DemocRATS want tax increases (large tax increases) mainly because that is all they know how to do tax and spend.

They want the Republicans to nix the tax increases and they will keep doing this until the Bush tax cuts expire, which will automatically increase taxes big time, (a real job killer) which is exactly what they want, and then they can say see people, it is those damned Republicans that are responsible.

The committee, formally known as the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (JSC) which will hereinafter be referred to as the JSC, is composed of 12 members–six Republicans and six Democrats, with each partisan group evenly divided with three senators and House members apiece. The party leadership in each chamber appointed the members. The co-chairs are Republican Rep. Jeb Hensarling of Texas and Democratic Sen. Patty Murray of Washington. The other 10 members are: Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana; Democratic Rep. Xavier Becerra of California; Republican Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan; Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina; Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts; Republican Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona; Republican Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio; Republican Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania; Republican Rep. Fred Upton of Michigan; and Democratic Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland. The chairs hold authority in negotiations and messaging, but the panel’s unique bipartisan and bicameral structure gives every member an equal say. What that means in practical terms is that at least seven of them have to agree in order to move their proposal forward.

“To have something on the table that does not ask the wealthiest people in the country to share (the burden) … is unconscionable,” So said John Kerry, you know the guy who moored his luxury yacht in neighboring Rhode Island to Save $500,000 By Docking his 76-Foot Luxury Yacht Out Of State and get out from under$437,500 in one-time sales tax. He would also have to pay $70,000 in annual excise taxes. He had the boat built in New Zealand (also a tax dodge), you are a phony bum on too many levels to enumerate here.

This would be war hero is just one example, but rest assured Washington D.C. is full of them.

This whole idea of a super committee working their rear ends off straight through the week end to try to get something cobbled together is pure political theater (or as I like to call it a Kabuki dance).

I have said on many occasions and in many of my previous columns, there are no SAINTS on EITHER side of the aisle.

Please open your eyes in that voting booth and don’t pull the lever just because you recognize a familiar name, that is part of what got us in this mess, ALL INCUMBENTS HAVE TO GO !!!

The only thing that will happen with the wealthy folks is, instead of investing in business ventures which will hire people, they will just sit on their money or perhaps move it off shore.

At this juncture, let me interject a very salient question:

Have any of you folks reading this ever gotten hired by a poor person?

Not only no, but, HELL NO!!!

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
