It’s Not My Job To Think For You

The other day one of my regular readers at work mentioned that I had been quiet lately and that I needed to get on the ball and start writing again. I told him I wasn’t going to write any more and he then said that I had a gift that allowed me to explain things in a way people could understand, and that it was my responsibility to educate people about what is going on in our country. Since it is my responsibility to explain things to people, allow me to explain a few things.

Our nation’s Declaration of Independence and Constitution were written in simple English. I have been told that at the time they were written the language used was considered to be around 8th grade reading level. What does that say about the people of this country today when they can’t understand a document that was written to be understood by twelve year olds in 1776?

Is it that the education system in our country has failed to instill the ability to read simple English in our children? Is it that people are too damn lazy to use their brains for their intended purposes? Or is it that people are just plain stupid? It has to be one of the three, so you tell me, why can’t YOU understand a document that was written at 8th grade reading level?

Maybe I do have a gift, but I don’t think it has anything to do with my skills as a writer. I think my gift is more along the lines of being able to see through all the bullshit and lies that people spew out of their mouths.
I could write till my fingers fall off and if the people reading my writings do not have the ability to think on their own, then what good are my writings doing? It is not, and has never been, my intention to think FOR you…only to get you to start thinking for yourself. If you can’t do that, then do you want me to tell you who to vote for, how you should spend your money, or what food you should be eating?

The way I see it is that it is all about your priorities in life. Someone at work told me about a news story where some guy fell to his death at a baseball game when he tried to catch a baseball an outfielder had tossed up into the stands.

That is what I mean about priorities, is a baseball really worth a person’s life? Yet these same people who would risk their life for something as insignificant as a baseball care little to nothing about their rights and their liberty. They refuse to educate themselves about the abuses of power by their government, and don’t have the courage to speak out against tyranny by those sworn to uphold the Constitution.

The final paragraph of the Declaration of Independence states, “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”

The men who signed that document were, quite literally, putting their lives on the line by doing so. They were telling their government to go f*#@ themselves, that they weren’t putting up with their shit any more. Can you see the average American writing a letter to their Congressman and saying that? Me either.
So what good are my articles doing when they do not cause people to think for themselves and start standing up for their rights? It’s not that I have lost my desire to see a return to a government which strictly adheres to the Constitution; it is that I have lost all faith and hope that the American people have what it takes to accomplish that goal.

So, why should I continue to write when I know my efforts are futile, that my words fall upon the ears of people who only want to be spoon fed their information, instead of researching and thinking for themselves?

If people can’t find it within themselves to do their own research, do their own thinking, and stop relying upon me, then to hell with them, I am not their babysitter. I know that there are some who read my articles and DO think for themselves, but they are not the ones I have been trying to reach. These people already understand the things that I write and I am preaching to the choir in their case. It is the average American who blindly accepts the lies they are told by their elected officials and the media that I have been trying to reach. If I truly had a gift, that wouldn’t be the case.

In short, I am tired of having to hold people’s hands and guide them in their thinking. Nobody held my hand and guided me on my journey; I came to know the things I do because I cared enough to take the time to do MY OWN research.
I think it is time that people stop relying on me for their info and begin doing their own research. I will still write, but only when I get the urge to speak out about something. But for educating people about the principles upon which this nation was founded…well that is something people are going to have to start learning on their own, because I’m tired of doing their thinking for them.

I hear your frustration & understand it well. America has largely become an apathetic and politically correct society lost in the addiction to pleasure and adrenaline activities which they think they are entitled to.

The days of educated people and civic duty are all but lost. And it is not by accident. It was designed that way. See page#3 of my website:

For almost 7 years I have been reaching out to others with these concerns. Concentrating on issues which appeal to basic instincts of safety & fairness. Issues which easily appeal to people of many political interests and delusions:
    - Voting and Election Fraud.
    - 35 Terrorist Training Camps on American soil.
    - Our Money System has been hacked and hijacked by the federal reserve.
    - Massive political corruption. Politicians voting on laws unread.
    - Socialization of 20% of our economy – The entire medical industry.
    - Illegal immigration gone wild – furthering nationalist/communist agenda.
    …… CONDENSED INTO ONE PAGE:

I have developed an effective flyer which 90% of the people take home:

    We must continue to fight.

I am looking for help to take this presentation on the road.
    - I am ready to bring these video’s to an event so others can view them.
    - I will request they take copies and put them on public access TV & share with friends.
If others learn about and face these problems we stand a chance to resolve these issues.

If we continue to not be educated these issues our destiny will be decided by circumstance & uneducated poor choice.

Who will help me do this?

I got a wide range of comments when I sent this out via e-mail. Some simply said Bravo, while others tore me a new ass and said it was my job to continue to write UNTIL people do ‘get it’.

I am of the opinion that some people won’t get it even when they lose everything, hit rock bottom. They will still look to government to HELP them. Why should I continue to try and help people, who are quite honestly, beyond help?

As usual Neal, you are right on target. Thank you for continuing.
