I know, I know, I said I wasn’t going to write anything new until I finished my book. Well I just can’t shut off my brain and when a thought worms its way into my brain I just can’t get rid of it until I write about it. So, here I am, at it again. I guess you guys are gonna have to continue to put up with my endless nagging.

The other day a good friend wrote a short commentary in which he said, “America is not deserving of the efforts of the many, who awaken each day, face the problems of the nation – let alone their families – and continue to fight to awaken a sleeping bunch of idiots – AMERICANS!”

You know, Jeff, the friend who sent that to me, is right - the American people aren’t deserving of my efforts. They also aren’t worthy of the sacrifices made by those men who placed their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor on the line to bequeath to them a country, and a system of government which was designed to safeguard their liberty.

I spend a lot of my free time in front of this computer, researching, and finding just the right words to convey my message to the mindless masses. I do not ask for payment for my efforts, only that people THINK. I guess that is just too much to ask from most people. Some people won’t even attempt to read an article if it is longer than a page and a half. I guess their brains just aren’t used to all that work and anything longer than that causes the old grey matter to overheat.

I truly wish I could just give up, toss in the towel, and say ‘Screw em all‘, but I can’t. You see, God gave me this talent, if you want to call it that, for a purpose. I may not be a Hemingway, but I have been told that I have my own unique style that is both enjoyable and gets the point across. So I intend to use that gift to the best of my ability to educate as many people as I can. It won’t be my fault if the people who read my articles are too obtuse, or too apathetic to be able to understand the things I write about.

Besides, if the people of this country continue to elect the same caliber of people into office again and again, they aren’t the only ones who will suffer the consequences of their choices. I too will suffer because it will be my rights, and my freedom which goes by the wayside as well.

So, no matter what happens, I continue to go on writing, calling it as I see it. If I offend a few people, tough shit. If my message doesn’t get through and this country does go down the tubes, then I will at least die knowing that I gave it my best and I was just outnumbered by idiots who don’t care the least little bit about the future of their country.
