Dickens: Bicycle Helmets

In past several decades I have wondered what has happened to America and the World we live in. It seems that stupidity and insipid behavior have taken over where logic, common sense, and rationality once reigned. We live in a litigious and licentious society with no boundaries and certainly no sense. Everything is out of whack and there seems no possibility of our return to a normal safe and courteous world. We are run amok. We are stuck on a sand bar in an ocean of inane laws and ignorant actions. Our ship is solidly aground.

Alexander: The Directorate of Indoctrination – Leftist Academic Apparatchiks

“Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” – George Washington from his Farewell Address, 1796

"My administration has been working hard..."

It’s the end of the school year, so Barack Hussein Obama is including commencement speech whistle stops on his 2012 campaign itinerary.

In Memphis, where Obama delivered one such speech to budding sycophants at Booker T. Washington high school, he asserted, “My administration has been working hard to make sure that we … encourage the kind of change that’s led not by Washington, DC, but by teachers and principals and parents…” (Notice the order in which he lists the agents of change: “teachers and principals and parents.”)

Of course, “the kind of change” led by socialist unions in government schools across the nation is already in lock step with what “Washington, DC” dictates. They’re both bent upon churning out legions of useful idiots necessary to ensure incremental implementation of Democratic Socialism. Of incremental implementation, Soviet dictator Nikita Khrushchev once said, “We can’t expect the American people to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have communism.”

Ross: Are My Beliefs So Radical That I Might End Up Getting Shot?

Today while I was at work, one of my co-workers told me that after his wife had read some of the articles I had sent to his e-mail account, she made a comment along the lines that, “This guy is gonna get shot.” Throughout the remainder of the day that comment kept coming back to bother me. There have been times that I have wondered if my writings have brought me to the attention of my government, and that my name might be upon some sort of watch list. However, this is the first time that I had thought about whether or not someone besides my government might feel threatened by the things I write about.

Dvorak: Secure U.S. border fence fails – Border Patrol snags 7 drug smugglers

Seven Mexican nationals’ were arrested after U.S. Border Patrol Agents stop drug smuggling attempts in East San Diego, dismantling the myth that America’s border fence with Mexico is either finished or secure.

Cantor: A Nose That Grows

Reviewing a vid-clip of the liar in chief, I heard him explaining how giving $2 Billion dollars to Brazil for their state owned oil monopoly “Petrobras” was good business because we want to be one of their biggest customers, which is a total fabrication since all that oil off shore from Brazil is already spoken for by none other than China!

Someone should inform O dunce that the reason for the existence of the Department of Energy is to get us off our dependence on foreign oil.
