It’s hard to accept that some Americans actually want to transform the America we know and love into something alien to us, but it seems that way since Obama, Reid, Pelosi (since demoted but still mean and powerful), and their progressive/liberal/Marxist gang members roared into Washington. Their policies and laws drafted in total secrecy (after promises of “transparency”) have made Americans shake their heads in disbelief. How could anyone in our government actually impose those laws and policies on the American people? Their arrogance and disregard for the people they are supposed to serve stunned most of us and helped lead to the Tea Party movement. Why would they shove Obamacare down our throats, for example, when we knew there were better ways to solve the health care problems?

The simple answer is that there are American citizens in our government, and powerful people outside government, who consider themselves “citizens of the world” or simply hate our country for one reason or another. They envision America of the future as a province under a world government from which they can transfer much of our wealth to corrupt third world nations to achieve economic equality, which means we’ll all (except those in power) live at poverty levels.

To accomplish that, they need the power to control every one of us, our lives, our liberty, our money, even our thoughts. Obamacare was only a beginning. As Glenn Beck noted, they want to be the ranchers over us docile cows. Their beliefs are alien to freedom-loving Americans, but the hate-America elites and thugs are true believers. They have power and influence, and our major media support them. That’s what makes them so dangerous to our nation and our freedoms.

There are many out there. In a Time Magazine article, Strobe Talbott, former Deputy Secretary of State under Bill Clinton, predicted “nationhood as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. A phrase briefly fashionable in the mid-20th century – ‘citizen of the world’ — will have assumed real meaning by the end of the 21st.”

The late Walter Cronkite, one of the twentieth century’s most influential news anchors, touted as “the most trusted man in America,” was a secret world government advocate the whole time. In 1999, he received the Norman Cousins Award from the World Federalist Association. In his acceptance speech, Cronkite said “It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to give up some of our sovereignty.” After his speech, Hillary Clinton broadcast a fawning tributer to him and his views from the White House.

In a speech in Berlin before the 2008 election, candidate Barak Obama said, “Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen — a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world.” The radicals who befriended him over the years and those he brought to Washington with him include many hate-America and fanatical socialist/Marxist characters, including Reverend Wright, Bill Ayres, Bernadette Dorn, Van Jones, and many of his czars, among others.

President Obama apparently revealed his anti-American sympathies when he spoke to the UN. CNN political contributor and former Reagan political director Ed Rollins noted in a 2009 article for CNN, “The president had his first foray into the Byzantine world of U.N. politics last week and walked away cheered on by the anti-America crowd. He appeased the delegations led by tyrants and petty dictatorships by condemning President Bush and spelling out how his administration is going to be different. President Obama was applauded by Castro, Chavez, and Gadhafi (no friends of ours) when he said he wanted a ‘new era of engagement in the world.’ . . . No American president has ever stood before the U.N. body and condemned his predecessor or American foreign policy in such a way.” No one except someone who wants to cozy up to Marxist dictators at America’s expense.

How can they accomplish the destruction of America as we know it? In a speech to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, former Colorado governor Dick Lamm outlined exactly how the America haters can destroy our nation from within.
Here is a summary of some of their methods:

1. “First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures.”

2. Invent multiculturalism and encourage immigrants to maintain their own culture, rather than becoming true Americans as previous immigrants did.

3. Make America a “Hispanic Quebec.” Develop two (or more) cultures and two languages, indeed two kinds of Americans. “The key is to celebrate diversity instead of unity.”

4. Place all of these subjects off limits for discussion. (Isn’t political correctness wonderful?) “Words like ‘racist’ and ‘xenophobe’ halt argument and conversation.”

5. Make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. Make those who go through the immigration process legally wait for years, while those who sneak in get to stay and enjoy America’s largesse.

If I wanted to destroy America, their plan would be a good place to start. Uh, wait a minute. Those power-hungry crazies in Washington and elsewhere are already implementing the plan.

I’d also do my best to destroy our economy though government interference (consider Obamacare and probably cap and trade later), weaken American businesses (by oppressive regulations and government takeovers), undermine our education system, weaken the influence of religion, discredit our cherished American institutions (the founding fathers, our Constitution, traditional marriage), and bankrupt our nation through runaway spending, goals they’re already achieving. And, of course, I’d use their propaganda machine — our major liberal media — to brainwash the populace into believing that all of it is either inevitable or for our own good.

Going back to the question of why they arrogantly shoved Obamacare down our throats, even when they knew they risked losing power in the next election, the short answer is that they’re patient. Marxists and their fellow conspirators measure progress in decades, accepting that their progress could be three steps forward, two steps back. As the history of the 20th century shows, their progress has been slow but sure.

They succeeded in ramming through a major seizure of power with Obamacare, so they gave up some power in Congress for a couple of years. But they’re confident that gullible Americans will again return them to full power in the next election, and they’ll continue with their plans for America. In their eyes, America as a free and sovereign nation is doomed.
