Cantor: The Bakken Revisited
I have written several articles concerning our own huge oil reserves in the Williston Basin (aka the Bakken), and the fact that we have more oil in our own ground than all of the middle east put together.
North Dakota which is sitting on approximately 4 billion barrels of light sweet crude is drilling like gangbusters and the state is literally booming with an unemployment rate of only 3.8% (are any of you elite morons in Washington D.C. listening?).
Something on the order of 650 wells were drilled in North Dakota last year (no danger of a gulf spill), and the state has the best job market in the country, and the State Department of Mineral Resources estimates another 5000 wells will be drilled over the next two decades.
North Dakota is already fourth in oil production behind Texas, Alaska and California which have their own rather large deposits.
Drilling is being restrained by very restrictive regulations (from Washington), and by progressives and tree hugger in California, and suffering double digit unemployment at the same time.
We need to make sure that all of the oil that comes out of OUR ground stays here in OUR country and not sold overseas.
I remember hearing the political idiots who were saying that if we start drilling now it will still be years before we see any usable oil but that doesn’t quite feed the bulldog anymore.
We have tons of oil, so why should we buy foreign oil which in reality funds Madrassa schools and mosques (read that terrorist recruiting centers) to be turned against us.
The tree huggers have been yelping for years about not drilling in ANWAR (in Alaska) because it will disrupt the Caribou migration route etc. etc., but the Canadians drilled in Caribou country and it didn’t seem to bother the caribou one little bit.
I don’t understand how the idiots in Washington can allow a bunch of White wine and Brie liberals to hold the nation hostage because we might disturb the breeding ground of some tit mouse or other animal or bird.
Between 2005 and 2009, oil industry revenues have tripled to $12.7 billion from $4.2 billion and in the process creating 13000 jobs (you do remember that word JOBS don’t you?), and that is just North Dakota.
We have the potential to turn ourselves into a nation that doesn’t have to import one drop of oil from anywhere.
My question is why aren’t we doing it, instead of letting Washington hogtie us with a lot of stupid, pain in the butt regulations?
We can begin by getting rid of Obama and his pack of idiots and Czars, most of whom couldn’t find their butt with both hands and a map, and letting Washington know what happens if they don’t do the WILL OF THE PEOPLE.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
