Dvorak: Muslim Sharia law for America? White House rally March 3rd

Only in America could a radical Muslim group be granted permits to rally at the White House and call for Sharia law to be implemented in the United States.

“Preparations are now underway for the ‘Shariah4America’ project that will inshaa’allah (God willing) become an unanticipated wild card for the West, galvanizing the immense support for Shari’ah in the Middle East and bringing it directly to the doorsteps of the United States of AmericaShariah4America posted on their website.

A Washington D.C. think tank, Council on Foreign Relations explores the Sharia, or Islamic law, connection in most Muslim countries legal code.

“There are so many varying interpretations of what Sharia actually means that in some places it can be incorporated into political systems relatively easily,” says Steven A. Cook, senior CFR fellow for Middle Eastern studies. “Some (Sharia) interpretations are used to justify cruel punishments such as amputation and stoning as well as unequal treatment of women in inheritance, dress, and independence. The debate is growing as to whether Sharia can coexist with secularism, democracy, or even modernity.”

With this in mind radio and television pundits are already commenting on the radical Muslim-backed rally.

“On Thursday there is a different march scheduled in the District of Columbia and this one boldly declares its goal of bringing Sharia law directly to the doorstep of the United States of America,” said Fox’s Glenn Beck.

The keynote speaker for the D.C. rally is so-called radical U.K. Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary, who said on Fox’s Sean Hannity show “Americans are the biggest criminals in the world today

“He’s got a group called Islam for U.K. that’s been outlawed in Great Britain, but he’s got a new organization here in America called Sharia for America,” Beck says. “He (Cleric Choudary) says, ‘we hereby call upon the Muslims in the U.S., particularly in New York, Michigan, Chicago and Washington D.C… to take lessons from their Muslim brothers and sisters in North Africa and the Middle East and rise to implement Sharia in America.’”

Understanding a movement is key and it doesn’t help when America’s Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, refers to organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood as secular groups when they clearly believe in the genocide of the “little Satan (Israel) and big Satan (America).”

However, leading moderate Muslim spokesperson, Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, the president and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD) called on U.S. Muslims to stand against the March 3, rally – Sharia for America: A call for revolution.

“Shariah for America’s march on Washington is an affront to very idea of America and in no way represents the core of American Muslims. American Muslims need to denounce this rally and to unequivocally state that Sharia for America’s movement to bring shariah into government is unconstitutional and unconscionable for liberty loving Muslims in America,” Jasser said.

“Not all Muslims are Islamists and the problems with Islamism are not only related to violence, but related to the entire ideology of seeking the supremacy of the Islamic state over the United States and Western society, which is exactly what Shariah for America is trying to do,” explained Jasser.

While America vehemently defends its First Amendment right, Jasser claims fringe groups like Shariah for America try to exploit the true meaning. Jasser also contends that too many Muslim groups fail to point out these extremist movements as wrong-headed and therefore allows American’s to label too many Muslims as followers “of the caliphate, Islamism, political Islam and the Islamic state.”

Instead, organizations like Council on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR) “want us to believe that classically Islamist organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and all of its offshoots and front groups are not a threat to the United States, when in fact rallies like this demonstrate the depths of exactly what the threat is and how at their core all Islamists desire to remove our Constitutional republic and put in its place an Islamic state based in Islamic law and the interpretations of clerics and theocrats,” Jasser said.

The American Islamic Forum for Democracy has now called for a day of anger against the Shariah for America crowd as a way to disassociate peaceful Muslims with radicalized groups who seek the destruction of America’s way of life. “The silence of American Muslims against the Islamic state and political Islam allows radical groups like this to speak for all Muslims. It is our hope that there will be a reform for the separation of mosque and state and to make it unequivocal that these ideas of shariah and Islamic supremacy are not welcome in our Muslim communities,” Jasser concluded.

The Shariah for America rally is set to take place Thursday March 3rd from 1-4 p.m. in front of the White House. The group said Muslims will let the Obama Administration as well as “the American people know that a new constitution beckons the U.S. called the Shari’ah and that this worldwide revolution will see it implemented.”

Christ admonished his followers to “Sell their coats to buy a Sword in Luke 22:36. Do you understand why?

You actually took that out of context. Christ was speaking figuratively in vs 36-38. If you go on to read further, He actually rebuked Peter for using a sword in vs 50. Nice try

Jesus told them to get swords and keep watch because he hadn’t accepted his fate. He was asking to let the cup pass him by. When Jesus accepted the cup he told Peter that he didn’t need his sword. This shows that Jesus’ sacrifice was not hollow, and that God allowed him to fear death. Victory in death is a difficult concept. It requires us to believe that the enemy is not heartless, or incapable of compassion. Our enemies are dead set to prove that they have no compassion. For some of them it may be true. If it was always true then Jesus would have had no victories at all. In Iran thousands of people are converting to Christianity, even though they are being persecuted and killed for it. Nigeria just elected a Christian president, before the muslims rioted. If our enemy was truly heartless, Jesus would have no victories in their hearts. His victory in death is still making claims in this world. If we truly desire victory we must walk in the shadow of death, and do it God’s Way.

America may not be at war with Islam, but Islam is definitely at war with America. And we are not only losing, we are surrendering.

Yest Ye all will die,if you keep up with this stupidity. Sharia Law and Muslims will cut your head off if you don’t join the Muslim religion.
Like Europe, it is to late to turn back the tide of the country. The French people are doomed by the governments stupidity and fear.

Sharia law will fly in the US just like Slavery did. Muslims who think they can turn our country into a shithole are out of their friggen minds. Let me guess, they are getting funds from Michael Moore? Give me a break, my parents were dirt poor growing up and I worked my ass off since 12 and now live comfortably, and have traveled to 8 countries with my own money in the past 2 years. I am 23. This is possible because in our country if you work hard, you can be and do anything.

ok… do you really want to trust a site called shariah4america.com… the site isn’t trusted at all. at the bottom it claims no copyright. the issue today is with the taliban and all that chaos going on the middle east is putting a negative image on muslims. easily this can be related to christians with the crusades in the past. they were doing it for religous purpose and it seemed right at the time yet violence is always bad and im sure many people disagreed with the violence in those times. we have no accurate source saying that this site speaks for all muslims in the us. for all we know we that site could have been made by someone who doesn’t support islam. a site with the name martinlutherking.org is hosted by a site with its icon saying “white pride” clearly that site will be extremely biased and put a negative image on mlk. easily with technology today, the case with the shariah4america can easily be the same. in this time of economic down turn we don’t have time to look and discriminate on different groups like the muslims. we are all human, we all have the good and bad people of every group. so please, all i ask you is, before you make a complete judgement on a race, know that everyone is different. just because you read some article or saw on a video some crazy muslim yelling and screaming, that person doesn’t speak for that entire group.

this is ridiculous. people are asking for alaw that totally violates the American constitution? go back to your own country if your not satisfied here. and if you are not satisfied with the US you have a serious problem because this is a country where you wont get stoned to death for speaking out for opposing the presidents views or choosing your own religion. for gods sake women in the middle east cant even walk in public alone without getting raped or beaten to death, and the courts over there allow it!

Love the photo at the top which is what made me stop and read this. I don’t understand where any of you who are playing Henny Penny are coming from. there is no consensus as to what Sharia law even is in the Ummah not along a movement to install it in the United States. Muslims make up less than 1% of the US population in what why are they a threat to force the rest of us to implement any of the varied sets of laws commonly referred to as Sharia. This March on the white house should also tell you how much of a non story this is. Did thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions of people appear for this march. No? then lets return to the real world and work out how to save our econeomy, how to bring millions of jobs back to the US and how to combate the real threats from Radical Islam.

This is a REAL STORY and needs to be written about more often. It should be brought to your attention that there is more like 10-15% muslims in this nation, but no truly accurate numbers can be obtained because it is known muslims can blatantly lie to further their cause. They NEVER truthfully answer census forms or other means of counting them. Actually most of them who are of middle eastern descent check off on forms that they are White/Caucasian. In case you wonder how I know this, I know people who work in government assistance agencies in states where there are large populations of them and like clock work they watch them check off “white” as their race! Also, for the record could any Christians go hold a similar rally in their former countries? No! This is a subtle means of trying to see just how much they can get away with here in the US. Soon enough it will not be so subtle if we don’t stop this foolishness now!

@ stewiegriffin – Premise: All violence is bad. Analysis: If all violence were bad, then violence to oppose Hitler was bad. Conclusion: All violence cannot be bad, since opposing Nazism was good. That all violence is bad is just a silly Liberal trope and a vacuous premise. Read some history son, don’t just parrot the Liberal moonbats around you.

@ Daud Maud’dib – Muslims may only be 1% of the U.S. population; however, they are not the Branch Davidians. Indeed, they are backed by 1.5 billion believers worldwide and even billions more in petro-dollars. The introduction of Shari’a into American courts is not hysteria. It has been widely reported that Muslim groups have submitted numerous white papers to the Supreme Court of the United States advocating the application of Shari’a law, particularly in family disputes. Shari’a law has no place in American Courts. Period. It’s unconstitutional, and what’s worse, America’s secular Constitution demands that it must be the highest law of the land – the complete anti-thesis of Shari’a law. The question before all of us remains then, how will Muslims properly discharge Muslim duties in a host country that does not recognize Shari’a law as Supreme? No easy answers there, especially among Muslims. Many leading Muslims even argue it is not possible. So, ultimately, do you believe Shari’a law applies only to how an individual Muslim lives his/her own life, or do you believe that one day, Shari’a law must be the Supreme law of the land? Tell us your answer, and we will know where you stand. Easy.

If Americans don’t take a stand life in the U.S. will never be recovered.

For those of you so adamant to have Sharia laws in the U.S. think about the fact that the Christian God (the one in the Bible) and the Islamic god (the god referenced in the Koran – you know the plagiarized version of the real bible?) is that the Christian God send his Son to die so that we would not have to suffer eternal damnation, the counterfeit version says that you have to die for your god to get your reward. The real God wants all to be saved and enjoy paradise, the counterfeit god wants you to kill those that refuse to convert. If you can’t see a problem with that think about Hitler and his ethnic cleansing.
