An e-mail, from a fellow freedom-fighter, gave me cause to think long and hard about the growing animosity between the shrinking middle-class and business in our country today, who is agitating that animosity, and what they hope to gain.
Who is not aware that the taxpayers bailed out the Wall Street tycoons in 2008-2009, and the billions added to the national debt because of it? In essence, the little people – the average every day Mom and Pop – bailed out businesses that make millions of dollars every year and pay their CEO’s and top management millions every year in compensation.
I thought I had pretty much said all that I needed to say about U.S. involvement in the internal affairs of Libya. At least that is what I though until I saw NBC Nightly News this evening. In the course of their coverage, NBC played a quote by Mr. Obama in which he said, “Going forward, we will continue to send a clear message: The violence must stop. Moamar Gaddafi has lost legitimacy to lead and he must leave…”
The Proposed Vehicle Mile Tax: They are testing the waters again in Washington. Always looking for an opportunity to take advantage of a crisis to squeeze even more money from the taxpayers of America.
There is a proposal being floated about in “Foggy Bottom” to tax US drivers for every mile they drive in their cars, trucks, vans, SUV’s, or whatever. The Congressional Budget Office is referring to it as the “Vehicle Mile Tax” or VMT.
CHURCHVILLE, VA — In the old days, we cooked hamburgers rare, juicy and flavorful. In recent years, because of E. coli 0157:H7, we’ve had to content ourselves with hamburgers that were gray and dry or run the risk of serious illness. 0157:H7 is the relatively new and vicious “Jack-in-the-Box” bacteria that killed four kids in Seattle in 1993. It was seen first by researchers in the 1980s. Since then, it has killed hundreds and sickened thousands more with bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, and even liver failure.
Given the nature of events reported in the regular media, this work is a timely and informative history about the U.S. – Pakistani relationship. It is written by Bruce Riedel, one of the players involved in the ongoing negotiations between the two countries as they balance the various needs and wants of an off balance nuclear armed Muslim country with the needs and wants of a country protecting the world from the terror of Islamic jihadis.
Did you know there are 192 countries in the world?
Did you know we give FOREIGN AID to over 150 of them?
Did you know that CHINA and RUSSIA are among them?
So said Representative Ted Poe of Texas addressing the House.
When I took my first screaming breath of life, Dwight D. Eisenhower was president of the United States. America was a nation filled with hard working, patriotic people, who, for the most part, still held on to the belief that the Constitution prevented their government from doing certain things. That was the environment that I was raised in, and that was the America that I grew up to love.
It does no good to be pissed about it.
You are dead. They murdered you, and you need to get beyond the anger that this knowledge brings. There is yet work you must do.
The powers that be, and their political minions have been working this plan since the 1950′s when Japan was forced into the GE designed nuclear reactors as part of the imposition of TPTB hegemony at the end of the Second Planetary War of the 20th century.
Whether they realize it or not Americans live in a constant state of fear every day. I’m not referring to the fears of everyday life like losing a job or having an accident of some kind, but rather a more sinister and devious fear; a fear that Americans only dare talk about around the water cooler or at cocktail parties so as not to be taken seriously; a fear they try to mask with a with a whimsical tone of sarcasm or indifference. Whether Americans want to admit it or not, it’s the single greatest fear in their lives: fear of the government.
