On December 31,1988 I retired from a 29 year, “three prison career” as a Federal Correctional Officer. During that career, personal experience, observation and dialogue with inmates and class room instruction gradually endowed me with a certain degree of “there but for the Grace of God go I” empathy for even some of the most “hard core” and violent offenders.

When I learned to “envision my self” as a vulnerable child or teenager –, male or female, being physically, emotionally and sexually exploited and abused by powerful, sovereign, publicly respected and protected “authority figures”, religious and otherwise –, while an apathetic and complacent “society expediently turned a cold shoulder and a blind eye”-, I learned a bitter but priceless lesson.

I learned that I could easily envision myself becoming a militant agnostic, atheist, serial killer, prostitute, alcoholic, drug addict or dealer. I could also envision myself being “traumatized & turned” into a sexually disoriented pedophile priest or nun and a staunch but “covert” advocate for gay marriage and adoption rights for gay couples..

And due to the “global reach” of this “militarily organized and self governed” political/religious power house, whose Sovereign hierarchy is “insulated from world oversight and accountability”, I can easily understand why it took so long for “the cat to get out of the bag”, and why pedophile priests and no doubt some nuns have been “getting away with it for centuries”.

Institutionalized, officially and globally enforced “celibacy” –, via Vatican enforcement —, is an hypocrisy infected“, hormone powered, global time bomb” whose “societal fallout” is incalculable. The “fallout speaks for itself”.

But still the “timidity” of the “worldly authorities” in politics, law, journalism and mental health as well as “CHRISTIANITY” adamantly refuse to indict and punish this “pedophile protecting global entity” for presiding over, protecting and propelling this global “societal time bomb factory”.

They are getting away with it because you and I are “too politically correct” and concerned about offending or alienating millions of decent and devout Catholic Christians. Or we are too intimidated by authority figures to “truly listen to offenders and “open mindedly” dig deeply enough” into their childhood to “ferret out, reveal and then honestly, aggressively and openly deal with the facts” -, and the perpetrators –, as well as their hierarchy.

That alone would go a long way toward making the “mental health”, rehabilitation and behavior modification agenda” of our city, county, state and federal criminal Justice System a LOT more palatable and “digestable” to “only God knows” how many thousands of exploited and abused victms of “pedophile authority figures”.

Far too many of us are too “Christianly or politically correct”, hard nosed, tunnel vision-ed and biased–, toward the criminal by product of childhood and teenage abuse –, by “respected and protected” authority figures” –, to “draw a line in the sand” and then stand UP and TAKE a stand! Most of us won’t risk the wrath of the “status quo” or the alienation of our peers by standing up and peakikng out with enough courage and conviction to force “organized Christiandom”, mental health professionals, lawyers, prosecutors, judges and the media to “focus the spotlight” on the REAL triggering forces of much of our societal rage and violence.

Consequently such rage driven offenders, perhaps like the Tucson killer, know better than to “talk before pulling the trigger” because they know that we “devout, tunnel vision “Christians”, including police and prosecutors “would choose not to believe them”. And if we did believe them, we would not have the political, judicial, societal and Spiritual spine to take effective, corrective and unified action against the real villains –, who are “covertly pulling a lot of triggers from a very safe distance”. Thank to that pervasive and disinterested and inexcusable apathy toward angry and dangerous victims of such “authority figures” -, most of those who really need to talk -, know that it’s all too often a waste of time.

Only God knows how many serial killers have been “sent to the gallows, the firing squad, the gas chamber or the electric chair by such “authority figure pedophile’s”, who are certainly not restricted to Catholicism and “Papal Politics”.

It is politically, legally, religiously and socially “correct”, more “expedient” –, and safer –, to blame “abusive or broken homes, booze and drugs etc. But drugs and booze are often not the initial or primary villains, they are frequently just the “mind numbing, memory suppressing, pain reducing substitute for what should be a global “house cleaning. And massive financial compensation to millions of mentally & emotionally incapacitated and/or incarcerated victims” and their families by this Sovereign, Untouchable “Christian” hierarchy.

The “pain, poverty, political corruption, suffering, drug addiction, prostitution, drug smuggling, unchecked crime and violence in our “Vatican governed” neighbor to the south” is an excellent barometer of what I’m trying to say.

The next time hear about some rage driven killer going on a senseless shooting spree -, or some prostitute overdosing, before you pass moral judgment, I hope you will ponder, what I have tried to convey to the public at large in this message.

All of the “Gun control laws in the world” —, can NOT and WILL NOT de-fuse, neutrialze and “render safe” the millions of “abuse generated, walking, talking, ticking time bombs” –, which are “ticking toward ignition” “in the heads of millions of victims” of pedophile predator “authority figures” –, whose ilk are not restricted to “celibate men and women of the Faith”.

And yes, there are many violent, dangerous and predatory criminals and white collar crooks who were pampered and catered to from birth to and throrugh adulthood –, and have no excuse for what they turned out to be but those cases are not the topic of the current dialogue.
