A Couple Quick Thoughts
I guess you may have noticed that I have been keeping to myself lately. I just haven’t felt the urge to write anything, that is until this evening. Like everyone else, I have been watching the events unfold half way across the globe in Egypt. I really haven’t had much to say about it until I heard a couple things on NBC Nightly News tonight.
The first thing I would like to discuss is a comment Barack Obama made in a speech delivered in Wisconsin. Mr. Obama stated, “But what is absolutely clear is that we are witnessing history unfold. It’s a moment of transformation that’s taking place because the people of Egypt are calling for change.”
True, it is historical what is going on in Egypt. But what caught my attention is the second part of Mr. Obama’s statement, that it is because the people of Egypt are calling for a change.
I wonder, how would Mr. Obama feel if the same events were happening in this country? Would the president be so open to support the people’s desire for change if it were his ass that the people wanted removed from office?

Which brings me to the second thing that caught my attention on the news this evening. During the broadcast, Brian Williams had on Fawaz Gerges of the London School of Economics. Mr. Williams asked Mr. Gerges what people saw happen today in Egypt. Mr. Gerges responded by saying, “What we witnessed is a regime disconnected from reality, clueless, out of it.”
These two comments may not seem to have anything in common, but in actuality they are quite closely tied together. You see, Mr. Gerges could very well have been speaking about the Obama administration, as they too are disconnected from reality, clueless, and out of it.
How many times have we heard Mr. Obama, or members of his distraction, make disparaging remarks concerning the Tea Party Movement? Isn’t the Tea Party movement seeking change as well, change from a bloated out of control government, back to a government based upon the limitations imposed upon it by the Constitution? Yet Mr. Obama considers them out of touch. I have to wonder, who is it that is really out of touch and clueless?
In 1774 John Adams wrote a series of essays entitled the Novanglus Papers. From them I quote, “A settled plan to deprive the people of all the benefits, blessings, and ends of the contract, to subvert the fundamentals of the constitution, to deprive them of all share in making and executing laws, will justify a revolution.”
Not all, but a number of people in this country are tired of their government enacting laws which deprive them of their rights, tax them to fund programs they disagree with, and attempt to micromanage every aspect of their lives. The Tea Party movement is a peaceful attempt by these people to make their government aware of their anger and frustration.
If the government does not listen, does not pay attention to the growing discontent, this country might very well be witness to the same civil unrest as is currently happening in Egypt. I wonder, will they embrace the people’s desire for change, or will they send out the military in full force to quell any uprising before it has a chance to succeed?
If it comes to that people may very well find out how big a hypocrite their president really is. That’s it, just a couple quick thoughts sparked by what I saw on the news this evening.

D.W.-I think I can answer that with a resounding Hell no!
I’ve said it before and I will say it again…”When the average American and his family are living on the street and trying to survive on $2.00 a day, Mr Obama(I refuse to call him president) and the rest of the Leeches in D.C. will have a problem.” Never ever give up your guns. Never! hb AARP
This is nothing more than another peice in the puzzle leading to total domination of the mid-east and control of ALL oil resources. You can best bet that the U.S. has their mark all over this. The very fact that they already had a single leader that they looked to as the catalyst for the revolution just goes to show that the U.S.& European financial leaders will parlay this into trillions of dollars in war profits with their Military Cartel. I watched the speech and when he praised the Egyptian military for not firing on their citizens.I looked over at my wife and asked her if she thought our military would have refrained from firing on us. We both nervously laughed about that. This is not a VICTORY for the Egyption people in a sense that they are free from tyranny. It’s just a shift in leadership from one tyrant to another with the blessings from the the Euro-U.S.oligargy.They’re playing both sides against the middle (working class citizens) for their own personal gain. While we foot the bill with more debt heaped upon the American people, total enslavement has been the goal of these Bankers for well over a century.Stripping of our rights and economy should have already brought us here in the U.S to the brink of Revolution.
The BIG question would be, would OUR military exemplify the outstanding qualities shown by the Egyptian military in NOT attacking those citizens who are demonstrating against their corrupt rulers. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
