Ewart: Will American Sovereignty Withstand the Onslaught of Global Government Forces?

“The New World Order will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down…but in the end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece will accomplish much more than the old fashioned frontal assault.” – CFR member Richard Gardner, writing in the April l974 issue of the CFR’s journal, Foreign Affairs.

The dream of world government is as old as civilized man. All the old warlords of the past, from the Pharaohs of Egypt to Alexander the Great, Genghis Kahn, Attila the Hun, the Romans, Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler and more had one ambition, to control the masses for as large a geographical area as their armies could conquer. All well-known historical attempts to subjugate the masses were achieved by force of arms.

Hirschhorn: Mental Ghettos Weaken the US

So many intelligent Americans believe, say and do stupid things. When a large fraction of the population is like this, a nation rots from the inside and succumbs to external forces.

I have always searched for the simplest yet best ways to explain what I see as a multi-decade decline of every aspect of the United States, especially its political system and government. I keep coming back to the inescapable logic that a large fraction of Americans, regardless of their education, economic status and political alignment, must suffer from delusion. This delusion produces denial about hugely important subjects and issues.

The Coming Latino Revolt

The Senate is set to vote on a controversial immigration bill. If it fails, Rep. Luis Gutiérrez tells Bryan Curtis he’s prepared to ditch Obama and the Democrats and take the movement to the streets.

It’s zero hour for the DREAM Act, a bit of immigration legislation that has taken on a hulking importance among Hispanic leaders. For two years, Barack Obama failed or, if you prefer, refused to nudge along a major immigration bill. The last-ditch hope is that departing Democrats, and a few Republicans, somehow band together in the lame-duck session and pass a law allowing illegal immigrants who came to the United States as minors to gain citizenship. Harry Reid promised to bring up the bill for a Senate cloture vote this week. Republicans vowed to scuttle it, just as they did in September.

May the Force be With Us: Spotlight on Soros

If you have wondered where Obama came from and just how he quickly moved from obscurity to President, or why the media is “selective” in what we are told, here is the man who most probably put him there and is responsible. He controls President Obama’s every move. Think this is absurd? Invest a few minutes and read this. You won’t regret it.

Who is Obama? Obama is a puppet and here is the explanation of the man or demon that pulls his strings. It’s not by chance that Obama can manipulate the world. I don’t think he knows how to tie his shoe laces.

America, A Country of Laws? Hardly!

“Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will, within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.” – Thomas Jefferson

“Nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced.” – Albert Einstein

“If you have ten thousand regulations you destroy all respect for the law.” – Winston Churchill

There you have it. Three admonitions by well respected leaders of countries and science and in its 234-year history, America has violated all three. American law has become the will of tyrants that violate the unalienable, God-given rights of individuals, too many laws have been passed such that millions of laws and rules are leading us towards a police state, if we aren’t there already and passing laws that cannot or will not, or are too complicated to be enforced, is an all-too-common occurrence.

One Simple Question: Why?

When I was a kid growing up, I think I had the same lofty aspirations as all children did. I wanted to be an astronaut and pilot a rocket ship to the far reaches of the galaxy, and of course, I wanted to drive a race car and win the Indianapolis 500.

Fate, it seems, had other plans for me. I grew up in a typical baby boom family. My dad worked, first as a fireman, than later on as a computer operator and then for the County Unemployment office. Of course my mom stayed home and did the housework while my brother and I did the typical kid things. We weren’t rich, but we weren’t poor, we were, well, just average.

Granny: The value of human life and the killing of children today

Editor’s NOTE: I was privileged to share this commentary on my daily radio program, “Life, Liberty & All That Jazz” on Thursday, November 2, 2010. (JB)

I have been watching the increasing reports of children being killed – horribly murdered and dismembered in many cases, by their parents or care givers (boyfriends). I remember when one report of something like this would have been SHOCKING – today it is just another news item in the paper like a shoplifter being caught.

Ross: Just my two-cents…

This is how I see it. Say a miracle happened and the people of this country came out of their slumber and voted all the bums out. Then what? I have noticed that people have VERY short memories. If they voted the bums out they would invariably go back to sleep, apathy would again reign and those who sit behind the scenes and are responsible for corrupting what few honest politicians we may have had, will once again sink their claws into whatever fresh meat we did elect.

Baroud: Lebanon at Stake: Turkey Must Reveal Its Cards

The timing of the Turkish Prime Minister’s two-day visit to Lebanon could not be more judicious. Lebanon’s enemies have been banging the drums of war louder than ever before. All the malevolent plans hatched following the assassination of Lebanon’s former Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri are about to converge for one formidable goal: to destabilize and weaken Lebanon, disarm Hezbollah and allow Israel to return, uncontested, and wreck havoc on the tiny country, the way it remorselessly did in 1982.
