The new ObamaCare1099 rule for reporting of all cash, credit and check business transactions of $600 or more is scheduled to begin January of 2012. This is really an extension of the 2008 Housing and Recovery Act IRS rules that start this January when merchant banks and PayPal will report business sales directly to the IRS (the reporting threshold is $20,000 and 200 transactions a year).

On April 11, 1912, the unthinkable happened; the luxury liner the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank. Many people felt the Titanic was unsinkable, yet two and one half hours after striking that iceberg, it was on it’s way to the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean.

Although it took a single iceberg to sink the Titanic, other ships have been sunk by multiple objects penetrating their hulls. For instance, on 6 July, 1943, the USS Helena ( CL 50) , a light class cruiser, was sunk at the Battle of Kula Gulf by three Japanese torpedoes. I know this because my father was aboard that ship and survived to tell the story to me.

In ancient times a soothsayer could make a good living divining the meaning of chicken bones and shiny pebbles. The modern version is usually some journalist who, looking back over his shoulder, decides he can predict the future. These are often the same people who fail to predict the outcome of elections, sports team rankings, and, of course, the weather.

Who, for example, could have predicted that, in November 2009, the world would be treated to thousands of emails between a handful of utterly deceitful “climate scientists” who were rigging the data in computer models to ensure that everyone remained scared to death of “global warming”?

He may still possess the poise of a confident leader and an eloquent intellectual, but the presidency of Barack Obama is now suffering its most difficult phase to date.

Certainly, Obama cannot solely be blamed for all the factors that have stifled his country’s chances of recovery from the failures of the Bush era. But the man who promised the moon has now extended the abhorrent and morally unjustifiable tax cuts for America’s wealthiest class.

As the opening act of the Greatest Story Ever Told, each character mentioned in the Christmas narrative has had a number of literary traditions and homiletical assumptions added that may or may not be directly traceable to the text of the Holy Bible. One of these is none other than the Innkeeper.

As Ben Franklin was leaving Independence Hall, he was asked by a woman, “Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” To which Franklin is quoted as responding, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

It was only twelve years earlier that Patrick Henry had uttered the stirring words, “Give me liberty, or give me death.” Among the people who occupied the original thirteen colonies, there were those who believed that liberty was so important, that it was worth fighting, and possibly dying for.

Anybody with a lick of sense realizes there’s no difference anymore between the Democrats and Republicans. Both preach big dictatorial government to the people, and they do so relentlessly. Thus many Americans now realize that we need to open up the process and offer a small government vision as a third choice.

The question is how do we bring about such a goal. Many hurdles to a third-party exist, and many objections among conservatives to even begin such an attempt exist. What follows will provide some answers to those objections and outline a dramatic plan that will not only defeat Obama’s socialist agenda in 2012, but also save America in the coming decades from Republican socialism.
