I don’t know how many of my readers have noticed that their trips to the grocery store have gotten just a bit more expensive. I certainly have. Simple things like sugar, bread, coffee, all have gone up in price.

I am by no means an economist, and many of the articles I read on the economy speak in terms that I have a hard time understanding. Nevertheless there are a couple of things I have learned from my reading.

The Occupation Force or FREEDOM.

I can’t say it enough times – if each person that reads this doesn’t work hard to apply white hot heat on Boehner as well as those that are elected to represent YOU in YOUR district – We The People will get the same thing we have been getting for the last 200 years.

The campaign ads are silent, most votes are counted and, but for a few election cliffhangers, the results are in. The Republican Party has taken control of the House of Representatives with a pick up of over 60 seats, at least 10 governorships have switched from Democrat to Republican and at this writing a minimum of six U.S. Senate seats are in the Republican column.

Somehow, when I watched President Obama delivering his post-election speech on November 3, 2010, I felt sorry for him. To all bad things that he has done to our country, that I wish he didn’t, I couldn’t help liking him as a person and a fellow American. I know it is never going happen, but I would be delighted if he were my friend, even though we disagree on so many issues that are dear to my heart.

Every time you see some product being sold as “Green”, allegedly safer or beneficial for the environment, you can be sure that it is more expensive than a comparable product that does the same thing without making this claim.

Everything you eat, drink, wear or use begins as a “natural” product. It is absurd to think that calling it “Green” improves it in any fashion. Countless inspections before anything reaches the marketplace ensure product safety. To put it another way, a carrot is a carrot is a carrot.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Violence raging across the southern border is being fought by courageous law enforcement officers doing their best to stop the flow of illegal drugs coming across from Mexico.

But instead of help from the federal government, a group of sheriffs in Arizona are being hauled into court. Residents along the border are fed up with what they say is a slap in the face for all Americans.

Democracy in the Middle East continues to be a hugely popular topic of discussion. Its virtues are tirelessly praised by rulers and oppositions alike, by intellectuals and ordinary people, by political prisoners and their prison guards. Yet, in actuality, it also remains an illusion, if not a front to ensure the demise of any real possibility of public participation in decision-making.
