Fighting for peace or religion is like screwing for virginity. The bible teaches love and acceptance, not hate and violence.
Christ was about passive resistance. Teach the people the truth, and let them decide what actions to take. There was only one instance in the New Testament when Christ became violent. That was when the kicked the money changers out of the temple. The temple demanded that only gold was an appropriate offering to god, so the money changers set up table to trade goods for gold so the supplicants could make proper offerings. Christ maintained that any offering made from the heart was proper and acceptable in God’s eyes.
As for these recent elections… Casting a vote is spitting into the wind. Regardless of how you voted it’s going to come right back into your face.
We need a revolution, not of violence, but of passive resistance. Stop doing what you’re told, question the reason, then if it fails your test, DON’T DO IT… Gandhi had the perfect response: He was asked his thoughts on Western Civilization… He responded “I think it would be a great idea…” I happen to agree…

It is said that some pictures are worth a thousand words.
There are those who will not read anything longer than two paragraphs so getting their attention is hard to do. There are many who when they read something they fail to fully comprehend what they are reading – the emotion – the deeply felt feelings being expressed.
Now, when you place a graphic – one that moves as well – in front of their short term attention span – that picture STICKS – makes no difference if they like it or not – it STICKS.
An article about a small child being raped is one thing – publishing pictures of that child with the blood, bruises, torn clothing or no clothing will bring forth an anger in most people. Same thing works for political rhetoric.
I wish we didn’t live in a world that has to be so graphic but it is FACT that we do live in a filthy world and if one is going to reach those who turn away their eyes and ears then that is what some of us must do.
It is one thing to speak softly – it is another to carry and USE a big stick when it is warranted. Too many who profess to be Christians fail to accept that there are times Christians MUST fight. We are in a WAR – a SPIRITUAL WAR. It is time to choose sides.
