In trying to understand how so many Americans adore people like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh I have come to this critical understanding: Poorly educated, terribly informed, intellectually deficient and downright stupid people need idols. They feel angry, frustrated, ignored, cheated and disillusioned by so much going on in American society.

Scientific method: ….. refers to a body of techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge, or correcting and integrating previous knowledge. To be termed scientific, a method of inquiry must be based on gathering observable, empirical and measurable evidence, subject to specific principles of reasoning. A scientific method consists of the collection of data through observation and experimentation, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.

Ross: What The Hell Is The Use?

My last article was written as a challenge, to get people to think. I guess I must have been asking too much of people, because it’s been one week and I have yet to receive one single comment in response.

By the total lack of responses, I can comfortably say that I was right, that the average American is not capable of thinking for themselves, that they have to be spoon fed their information by someone who is willing to go out and do the work of gathering it, and formatting it in a manner that they can digest.
