Many Americans may be inclined to assume that Germans were barbaric because they supported Hitler, and whatever happened there couldn’t possibly apply to the United States. But the Germans have had much more in common with Americans than we might realize.
Germans were educated and industrious. Germany had world-class universities. Germans long led the world in scientific achievement. Many German companies were highly efficient producers. German immigrants contributed a great deal to American cultural life, including kindergartens, gymnasiums, picnics, hamburgers, hot dogs, and Christmas trees.
President Obama, the more that I see this guy, the more he reminds me of Chicken Little.
Chicken Little disdains America, it is written all over his face every time that he opens up his arrogant mouth, preaching hysterics, intimidation, or fear, instead of loving thy neighbor, or pursuing happiness.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen its another sunny day in San Diego while many commuters are hustling and bustling their way through the highways and byways of life, I found myself sitting in a rather large hospital waiting room called Kaiser Permanente of Southern California.
It was rather stuffy in there with numerous people from all over the planet quietly sitting in their recycled chairs chirping politically correct phrases of wit waiting for their number to be called and I was among them waiting for countless hours for my friends name to be called so she could see her doctor.
When I was reading the news about world-wide protests of Muslims against a threat by a Florida church pastor to burn koran on the anniversary of 9-11 attacks, illustrated with pictures of angry Middle-Easterners desecrating and burning our flags, their fists waving in the air, I thought I was Alice in Wonderland. The absurdity of the situation, when these narrow-minded people were already retaliating against us for “atrocities” that we had not committed yet (and, according to their cheerleaders, we had no right to commit although they did this kind of things to us on a regular basis), was mind boggling to the point that it was infuriating.

It’s not easy for a 5th year Parkinson’s patient to financially commit to an event taking place a year later, let alone commit to go on a bear hunt. But that’s what I did.
We were with Jim McKinley of Cameron Accounting of Missouri, completing our tax return. Jim was telling Sharon and me about their hunt at Tyler Kelly’s Camp in Allagash, Maine and that Wade Kelley, the outfitter and owner, was a Master Maine Guide with 25 years of tracking experience.
What if the government banned air conditioning? What if flat-screen televisions were determined to use too much electricity and were ordered phased out of production? What if the use of all plastic grocery bags were banned? What if the incandescent light bulb, one of the greatest inventions of Thomas Edison in the 1870s was banned? Oh wait, it has been banned!
