Zelman: Gunowners Should Expect the Worst from a Lame-Duck Congress

President Obama has recently dropped his cagey and coy dissembling about his true “gun control” plans. In July of this year he once again made it completely clear that he was in favor of a renewed “assault weapon” ban.

Obama is no longer laying low on the issue.

Dwyer: Freedom to Invade, Impose, and Takeover

As I watched an interview with one of the spokesmen for the Muslim community in the U.S. on the Fox News yesterday regarding the “ground zero” mosque controversy, I asked myself this question. Why do we allow all those who are in an obvious contempt of our culture, religion, and laws to come to and live in America? Wouldn’t we be better off if we kept all the actual and potential troublemakers on the other side of the border?

Ross: I Just Couldn’t Resist

NOTE: Mr. Ross, recently stated that he was going to take a break, however…. he just couldn’t resist. (Ed.)

The other night I received an e mail containing an article from The National Center for Public Policy Research. The article was entitled, EEOC Warns Employers: If You Don’t Want to Hire Felons, You Need a Good Reason.

Nelson: Connect these Dots!

Have you noticed that, all of a sudden, everything seems to be going wrong for America? The economy isn’t bouncing back the way all the experts had predicted, despite trillions squandered in the effort. Housing prices are painfully cheap, and yet, the banks still aren’t writing many mortgages.

Our shores are becoming fouled by the worst oil spill in recorded history and all government can do is wring its hands and create yet another agency to monitor the disaster.

08.17.10: Show me the bacon

O’Bummah kisses the ass-ets of the Muslims in the White House, while celebrating the beginning of Ramadan (or is that Ram it in?). He cancels the National Day of Prayer, two years in a row, because he might offend some of his ‘friends’, then goes across the country and tries ot cover his own ineptness, by explaining away his “intent” of supporting the building of a Mosque near ‘Ground Zero’, which for those who are too dumb to remember, was the site, where the World Trade Center used to stand.

08.16.10: Just Messin’ Witcho Mind!

I’m bored. I never much cared for the 2nd incarnation of the Federal Observer – so I thought that I would mess witcho mind today. You know – time for some morning coffee?

Maybe I should just turn this thing into a soft-porn site. It all has to do with S-E-X anyway – I mean, most Americans bend over for the soap all day, everyday anyway – so why not give them what they are used to.

08.15.10: “Oh Boy! Be a man… use your hand”

Nearly twenty months into the nightmare of the American journey toward socialism, several things hit me over the past several days, and amongst them – the question, “What does it mean to be a man?

You pick the issue in this nation today, the national debt, the deficit, illegal immigration, unemployment, the Gulf Oil “spill”, the fact that the Cubs still haven’t won a World Series, the cost of Michelle’s trip to Spain, the trade imbalance, the backed up plumbing in the White House, the death of an adoptive sister, “Racism” in America, 9/11… and so much more.

Doesn’t matter – it’s ALL Bush’s fault.

ROSS: Some Things To Ponder Prior To The November Election

The midterm elections are just around the corner and it seems that people are once again disenchanted with their government. A recent Gallup pole shows that 75% of the people questioned are dissatisfied with Congress while a Rasmussen pole shows that 56% of the people disapprove of Barack Obama’s performance.

With the Democrats having a majority in Congress, and with Congresses approval ratings in the tank, the odds are good that come November the Republicans may once get enough seats to regain control of Congress.

Ewart: America’s Rising Stress Level

THE CLINICAL DEFINITION OF STRESS: “Stress is a term in psychology and biology, first coined in the biological context in the 1930s, which has in more recent decades become a commonplace of popular parlance. It refers to the consequence of the failure of an organism – human or animal – to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats, whether actual or imagined. Stress symptoms commonly include a state of alarm and adrenaline production, short-term resistance as a coping mechanism, and exhaustion, as well as irritability, muscular tension, inability to concentrate and a variety of physiological reactions such as headache and elevated heart rate.” (from Wikipedia) Hmmmmm!
