As I watched an interview with one of the spokesmen for the Muslim community in the U.S. on the Fox News yesterday regarding the “ground zero” mosque controversy, I asked myself this question. Why do we allow all those who are in an obvious contempt of our culture, religion, and laws to come to and live in America? Wouldn’t we be better off if we kept all the actual and potential troublemakers on the other side of the border? As much as it’s true that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter or a holly man, there is absolutely no good reason to import subjects of this kind of controversies, particularly from the regions that have been major feeders of immigrants that behave more like invaders, conquerors, colonists, and agitators rather than actual immigrants.

One of the problems created by a lack of meaningful selection of whom do we allow to immigrate into America is that many aliens, particularly Mexican and Muslim, seem to believe that they were vested with an inalienable right to import and breed controversy and contention while in America. And they exercise this perceived right as they please, crying “racism” and “discrimination” about each time when someone tries to discourage them from doing so.

They use the noun “dialogue” as an excuse for for installation and proliferation of their propaganda outlets and activist recruitment centers. Then they decry the healthy resistance of the American society to the “dialogue” that they impose, as well as the attempts to enforce the laws that are supposed to protect the society, as “divisive” and “discriminatory”, with charge of “racism” being one of the favorite cards played here. Never mind that their rhetoric leads to nonsense like that resisting imposition of alien religion on America violates First Amendment, as if the U.S. Constitution were passed and ratified in order to protect the world from evil Americans.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

We gave the foreigners the right to immigrate and become Americans to the extent that no other nation in modern times did. If they bring contention and resentment rather than gratitude and affirmation then we should revoke that right and not allow them here.

If their presence creates or increases problems, such as “racial profiling”, “bigotry”, or “infringements of religious freedom” (just to name a few), then they should not be allowed to immigrate to America in the first place, and removed form the country promptly after they become the source of any of such problems.

Some judges were asserting that denial of the Constitutional freedoms to aliens would somehow deprive the American citizens from their Constitutional rights, but there is no valid rationale that would justify such an absurd conclusion. If the assertion were true then denial of freedom to convicted criminals (we keep most of them in jails, don’t we?) would have a detrimental effect on the freedom enjoyed by the law-abiding, which is clearly not the case. On the contrary, indiscriminately bestowing various rights on foreign troublemakers does deprive American citizens from their rights and freedoms as spelled out in the Declaration of Independence (like pursuit of happiness) and confirmed by the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, or – at least – obstructs the free exercise thereof. In other words, a judicial doctrine that in order to better protect our liberty and freedom we must share them with our trespassers, adversaries, and enemies is an oxymoron (a self-contradictory combination of words, that is).

I would go one step further and stipulate that there is an inversely proportional relationship between the degree of individual freedom enjoyed by citizens of a country and the degree of freedom to cross the border granted to the foreigners, so, a nation that is determined to protect the former must severely restrict the latter. This is why truly free nations tend to maintain strong armies ready to protect their borders.

The bottom line here is that we, Americans, know how to exercise our Constitutional freedoms and rights responsibly, so that there is a right balance between individual liberty and the good of the country. Those aliens who don’t know how to use their freedom responsibly, or they use the U.S. Constitution as a tool to invade our country, impose on us their culture and socio-political structure, and – eventually – take over America, are out of place here.

They need be sent back where they came from ASAP.
