Letter from Sheriff Paul Babeau, Pinal County, Arizona: The War Zone

Although we, at the Federal Observer are no fans of the Manchurian RINO, McCain – what follows, is a presentation from Paul Babeau, Sheriff of Pinal County, Arizona – smack dab in the middle of the Arizona War Zone.

For all of you bleeding-heart basTURDS, all across this Republic, stop your sniveling about what Arizona is involved with, and start DEMANDING that YOUR beneficent leader – bleeder, gets off of his do-nothing ass, and does something FOR America for a change. Unless you live here, and fight the battles, which we Arizonans fight on a daily basis – then shut the hell up, or else they’ll be coming for you soon.

Oh! You think that if we give 40 million invaders a Free Pass (Amnesty), that all of this will stop? You ignorant, lame-brain fools. It will only embolden them, just as it did after the 1986 ‘one time amnesty‘ was crammed down our throats, by the likes of one of your heroes, Teddy Kennedy. Even his brothers must have been rolling over in their graves.

I can only wish, and pray, that your wives, and children will never be subject to the physical rape or kidnapping, which takes place in my state each day, even though, this nation is being raped, to the tune of 383.3 BILLION dollars per year, in costs associated with illegal invaders in this nation.

Grow up, or shut up – but get the hell out of our way – WE’RE trying to save this nation! What the hell are you doing?

Without Apology, I am,

Why Are Conservatives so Mean?

Wolfe: Thinking Free

“He’s just institutionalized…The man’s been in here fifty years, Heywood, fifty years. This is all he knows. In here, he’s an important man, he’s an educated man. Outside he’s nothin’ – just a used-up con with arthritis in both hands. Probably couldn’t get a library card if he tried…these walls are funny. First you hate ‘em, then you get used to ‘em. Enough time passes, it gets so you depend on ‘em. That’s ‘institutionalized’…They send you here for life and that’s exactly what they take, the part that counts anyway.” ~ Andy Dufresne

In the great movie The Shawshank Redemption, Brooks Hatlen, the prison librarian (James Whitmore), is the totally institutionalized man. He’s carved out his safe little niche. He no longer knows how to survive outside the walls and he realizes he’s unfit for the real world.

Hirschhorn: Understanding the BP Oil Tragedy: Time Blindness

A loss expected to happen next year looks smaller than that same loss happening next week. Worse yet, a loss or catastrophe that may happen (indeed, is highly likely to happen) decades away is essentially invisible, unthinkable or unworthy of attention now. In other words, humans suffer from an intrinsic thinking defect best described as time blindness. It is the inability to correctly foresee and take seriously long term consequences of current actions.

Ross: About The DOJ’s Decision To Sue Arizona

Yesterday, as per my usual routine, when I got home from work, the first thing I did was to power up my computer, to check my e-mail, and put my aching feet up to relax.

As the mail began to download I scanned through the subject lines. My eyeballs froze in their sockets when I read, Feds file lawsuit against Arizona; ask judge to block SB1070. Instantaneously my blood pressure must have went up 20 points, and I no longer felt the pain in my feet.
