Illegal Immigration Costs U.S. $113 Billion a Year, Study Finds

The cost of harboring illegal immigrants in the United States is a staggering $113 billion a year — an average of $1,117 for every “native-headed” household in America — according to a study conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

Simmons: The Southern Border Could Get Much Worse

The southern border of the USA is no longer something that we can ignore or use as a political tool. Successive presidents have failed to control this border for one reason or another, but the escalation of drug cartel violence on the southern side of the border is making the issue of illegal immigration almost an afterthought. It seems that if something doesn’t change, we could be looking at an all-out war with Mexican drug cartels.

Fredinburg: Run for the Border-You’re Hired!

And I am not talking about Taco Bell here People.

In support of Arizona’s attempt to fend off the murderous drug cartels at the US Mexican border, and the moronic Federal lawsuit, I ask this honest question.

How about all you unemployed yahoos get off your available behinds and go serve your country on the border. Help the Minutemen or something.

Some “Greatest Generation” Americans Indulged Their Children To Become “Hippies”

Many times throughout the last 68 years I’ve lived in America, I frequently felt like I was living on the outside looking in. I felt that way because, in my day, we grew up with American ideals that I often saw slipping away.

I joined the military at age 18 (when the Draft was still going on). Virtually every male had to serve in those days, so, to get the Service and job you wanted, you had to voluntarily enlist. Over the course of my 42 years in the military (active and reserve), I served through 14 wars that America served in.

Feds file lawsuit against Arizona; ask judge to block SB1070

The Department of Justice filed suit this morning asking a federal judge to block Arizona’s new law aimed at illegal immigrants from taking effect.

Legal papers filed in U.S. District Court in Phoenix contend SB 1070 “is preempted by federal law and therefore violates the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution.” The lawsuit says the legislation conflicts with the federal government’s need to balance the competing interests of enforcing federal immigration law with the country’s diplomatic relations with other countries, including Mexico.

Ewart: The U. S. Government – Lilly-Livered, Weak-Kneed & Hopelessly Corrupt

“The budget should be balanced. Public debt should be reduced. The arrogance of officialdom should be tempered, and assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome become bankrupt.” (Marcus Tullius Cicero, philosopher and statesman of Rome – 106 BC to 43 BC)

The most powerful nation on Earth? Hardly! With our apologies to the fairer sex, America is ruled by the pink-panty crowd, afraid to offend, afraid to portray strength and afraid to win, but not afraid to deceive, lie, cheat and steal. It apologizes when no apology is warranted. It skirts around victory with our sworn enemies but refuses to close the deal in the hopes that our friends and enemies will “like” us and think we are being magnanimous and compassionate. The true reality is, our enemies look upon us as weak. Brave men and women have died and sacrificed needlessly for wars we didn’t have the stomach to win. That should be a treasonous act.

Ross: A day late – but to the point!

“The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.” – George Washington

Some Thoughts On Independence Day
When I wrote my last article I suspected that it would cause me to receive a few negative comments in response. However it took me by surprise that the reason some people disagreed with what I had written was because they deny the existence of God.

A majority of the people who disagreed with me because of their disbelief stated that because they could not conclusively prove that God exists, that He must be a figment of man’s imagination, or a myth. A rather lengthy, and sometimes heated, discussion took place on my blog in regards to that very subject.
