Dunetz: That Stench of Rotting Bull is Just Obama’s Oval Office Speech

Putting aside for a second the fact that this speech was given about 50 days late, last night’s oval office speech proved that the President is not ready to be honest with the American people. For the first 30 days of this crisis, President Obama was ignoring the fact that the crisis existed, and now when he uses the oval office to give the people confidence that he is on top of the problem he spends more time trying to sell cap and trade than discussing capping the well. Essentially, he is still ignoring the crisis.

Baldwin: A Suggested Survival List

This column was initially released last December. Without a doubt, this has been one of my most requested columns. So, in response to the large number of readers who have asked me to re-release this column, I do so today. And in doing so, I have added some new material to the original column.

One does not have to be a prophet to know that we are on the precipice of some potentially catastrophic–or at the very least, challenging–days. In fact, most of us are already in challenging days, and some are already enduring catastrophic events. That is, if one would call being out of work, losing one’s home, facing life-threatening medical conditions without any prospect of medical insurance, several families being forced to live in one house due to homes being foreclosed, etc., catastrophic.

Ewart: A Bully Only Understands a Greater Force

If a bully moves into your neighborhood and starts to throw his “weight” around, the bully’s neighbors have two choices ….. defeat the bully, or capitulate to his every whim for fear of igniting his wrath. This is the choice for America and every other country who is forced to confront the bully. A bully has been in our “neighborhood” for at least 100 years and all we seemed to have done is to capitulate to the bully’s every whim. The bully’s whim grows more radical by the day.

Biesada: Give em the hook!

A funny thing happened the other day while I heard President Ass Kickers idiot Secretary of Interior, Ken Salazar’s, diabolical remarks about this administration holding it’s foot on British Petroleum’s neck, over the deep water Horizon oil spill, and at about the same time, one of Chicago’s most feared mobsters, Harry “the hook” Aleman, died in prison.

Harry was accused of being involved in as many as twenty mob hits during his reign.

Tabor: Rewarding Failure, the Democrat Party Way

“We will remain focused on providing every resource we can to support the massive response effort underway at the Deepwater Horizon, but we are also aggressively and quickly investigating what happened and what can be done to prevent this type of incident in the future,” said Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.

Secretary Salazar and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano made this and similar pronouncements as they established a joint investigation into the causes of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Do You Take This Immigrant?

A pop-culture story line — marrying not for love, but for green cards — is the focus of a New York immigration unit. As in the movies, love usually wins.

THE retired mechanic from Michigan looked shell-shocked beside his bride, a classical pianist from Moscow who clutched the printed e-mail exchanges of their Internet romance. Young newlyweds from Long Island, still recovering from their reception for 600 guests the previous weekend, faltered as their lawyer quizzed them on the details of their City Hall ceremony four months before. A Manhattan woman bickered with her Turkish spouse about the kinds of questions they had been warned to expect.

Obama Moves to Silence Gun Groups and Other Political Opponents

Bill clears committee hurdle, going to the House floor soon

June 8, 2010 – Fresh from his efforts to seize government control of the health services sector (ObamaCare) and the financial markets (“finance reform”), Barack Obama has a new priority: silence his political opposition.

As satisfying as it was for Obama to seize control of one-sixth of the economy, he has had to suffer protest from the “little people” (like us).

Baroud: The Old Gaza Boy and the Sea

I grew up by the Gaza sea. Through my childhood, I could never quite comprehend how such a giant a body of water, which promised such endless freedom, could also border on such a tiny and cramped stretch of land – a land that was perpetually held hostage, even as it remained perpetually defiant.

From a young age, I would embark with my family on the short journey from our refugee camp to the beach.
