Worden: Militia x Two…
Two columns by Carl Worden, discussing the latest roundup of so-called, “Militia” members. It sems to be starting all over again.
A “CHRISTIAN” MILITIA GROUP?
Okay, so you no-doubt heard about the recent FBI arrests of individuals allegedly tied to a “Christian” militia group, and that they were planning to attack local cops. I don’t think we’re getting the whole truth. Something tells me it’s not merely “Christian”, but “Christian Identity”, and if that is the case, I’m glad the idiots are off the street.
For the un-initiated who don’t know jack about the American Militia Movement, let me put things into perspective here.
1: Citizen militias are overwhelmingly supporters of law enforcement. The only time a militia group is at enmity with a local law enforcement agency (LEA) is if that LEA is corrupt, you know like here in Southern Oregon. But if an LEA is run by Constitution-minded law enforcement officers, the local militia will always be in support of them.
2: However, “Christian Identity” is a whole different story. These are neo-Nazi racists and Jew-haters who have committed numerous crimes throughout the United States, including the murder of a Jewish Denver talk show host and numerous bank robberies, and they would like very much to see all Jews and people of color put to death, and if that isn’t allowed, to at least herd all the “bad mud people” into one area of the U.S.
Most people are unaware that Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, who were convicted in the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City, were CI freaks. I call them freaks because they are, and that is the main reason the Southern Oregon Militia has never tolerated racists or Jew-bashers of any kind. For the record, neither McVeigh or Nichols were EVER members of ANY militia group. They had ties to Elohim City, but that was a CI group.
For one thing, anyone who actually believes an entire race or ethnic group of people could be born with a shared social defect to victimize decent society in general, is a person who is so damned stupid that their judgment in any other area of thought is suspect. Why any decent militia group would allow such scum to rub shoulders with them has always bothered me because you cannot be a strong supporter of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and at the same time be a rancid racist who would deny fellow Americans of their basic rights! The two sentiments are at enmity with one another, so when these morons tried to sell our guys on the, “enemy of my enemy” balogna, we wisely rejected that notion.
Many of the militia groups that formed up at the same time the SOM did were eventually disbanded because they were totally corrupted by racists who saw the movement as a means to promote their own anti-American and anti-Constitution agenda. As hard as I tried, I could not make sense to many of the original militia leaders, who adopted the policy of, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”. So they allowed the CI freaks and neo-Nazi scumbags to join their groups, and the good people all eventually left out of disgust.
3: Anyone in the media can call any group of people a militia without being corrected. A number of years ago during the Clinton Administration, the effort to demonize the militia movement became so strident that one reporter from Los Angeles actually claimed that a Crips street gang was a “militia”. The deliberate attempt to demonize any group as a “militia” became so outrageous that my own local newspaper, the Medford Mail Tribune, actually ran a story that claimed the SOM were racists. They had no idea I am a Jew and that my wife is Mexican-American, and they didn’t even try to find out. According to “them”, if we called ourselves the Southern Oregon Militia, it had to mean we were the equivalent of a KKK chapter! Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness, Mr. Hunter, Editor of the Medford Mail Tribune!
It is being reported that the alleged militia people arrested were planning an attack on police. Why? I would really like to know, if that charge is true, why those people would be motivated to do something like that? What did the cops do that might elicit a conspiracy like that? Good cops and good LEA’s do not generally engage in acts that might cause otherwise non-criminals to plan their mass demise, so I want to hear the rest of the story, and I would also like to know, if anyone out there does know, whether these people who were arrested were conventional Christians, or the Christian Identity Freak variety that isn’t Christian at all and knows nothing of their so-called “Identity”. (They think they are all descendants of the Lost Tribes, meaning they are pure “Israelites” rather than those nasty and base Jews who are conspiring from birth to corrupt and victimize the entire world.)
More to come…

MORE ON THE “CHRISTIAN” MILITIA GROUP ARRESTS
It appears the arrest of nine alleged members of the Hutaree Militia in Michigan were deliberately set up by our beloved government in order to put fear into anyone even thinking about armed revolt, but the militia suspects certainly made it easy. First, they allowed a person into the group who wanted to join and then allegedly allowed the same person to participate in building explosive devices with other members. They allowed the same person to be in their private company and (without their knowledge) tape conversations wherein they discussed strategy and tactics that could be used against a potential foreign or domestic
enemy.
The person they allowed in turned out to be an acting agent for the FBI — and I doubt very much this person is a bonafide, badge-carrying ”Special Agent”. It appears this person was privately contracted by the FBI to infiltrate and criminalize the group in order to create an excuse for the government agents to arrest the nine people for seditious conspiracy, based almost exclusively upon recorded conversations of people just shooting their mouths off.
The federal prosecutor, Joseph Falvey Jr., who urged Judge Scheer to deny bail for the nine alleged members of the Hutaree Militia, made this telling statement: “while there is nothing wrong with owning guns or hating the government, it is illegal when “people with dark hearts and evil intents” gather to discuss ways to commit violence”.
Last time I checked, it was not illegal to discuss ways to commit violence unless that talk is backed up with some kind of physical actions that would further the conspiracy. For example, it is common for people to discuss how easy it would be to commit this or that violent crime and get away with it, but to describe others as having “dark hearts and evil intents” is entirely subjective and impossible to prove. It just depends on what side you are on. I’m certain King George thought George Washington and his gang had dark hearts and evil intents too, and I am absolutely positive Washington and his gang discussed ways to commit violence against the Brits.
The feds haven’t engaged in this kind of behavior since President Bill Clinton left office, and it appears President Obama and his administration have given orders to once again target, criminalize and arrest alleged militia members after so many threats of death and harm were received with the passage of the Health Care Reform law.
I can certainly understand why the federal prosecutor wants Judge Scheer to deny bail, and it has nothing to do with his belief that the suspects might arm-up and start killing cops; it is because suspects released on bail might just tell reporters how they were set up, and that it was the infiltrating federal agent who urged them to build explosive devices after he supplied all the materials for them. With the suspects tucked away in jail, the government gets to fill the media and any potential jurors with their version of the story, while preventing the victim suspects from telling theirs.
I still do not know if the people who were arrested are “Christian Identity” racists, but I read nothing on their web page that would make me believe they are, so I am going to assume for now that they are not.
What these Hutaree Militia people did was not much different than what Randy Weaver did: They made it easy for the feds to frame and arrest them.
The typical MO the feds use is to infiltrate the targeted group in any number of ways. If the group allows people who approach them to join in, that’s easy enough, but there are other ways to accomplish the same thing. If the group doesn’t screen out people with criminal convictions, the feds can target the felon and threaten him/her with prosecution if s/he does not agree to spy. If the person is on parole, so much the easier, and that is what you get if you do not carefully screen potential members. These privately-contracted infiltrators will always try to encourage members to commit crimes, up to and including supplying the group with illegal explosives or illegal weapons, but when it comes to court testimony the government informants will rarely admit that.
But the feds cannot do any of that if they don’t know who your militia members are, and if your militia members are required to qualify for a concealed weapon permit, you’ll find out real fast if they have a felony conviction or not.
There is method to our madness, and unfortunately, the Hutaree Militia blew just about every rule we adopted: They put up a web page with most of the members’ photos, they allowed a volunteer “joiner” in, and they also allegedly obtained illegal explosives. If you commit a crime, like messing with illegal explosives or illegally converting AK-47s or AR-15s to fully-automatic, you make yourselves vulnerable to arrest and prosecution, and you do that in return for what? Little or more likely, nothing, right? All you do is make it easy to be picked off, so what were these Hutaree Militia people thinking of? Frankly, if the Hutaree Militia was all that dangerous and truly planning to kill cops, they wouldn’t have been so easy to arrest.
Right now, CNN has been actively promoting a theory that the booby-traps and bombs and sabotage taking place against cops in Hemet, California is the work of a “militia”. They have nothing whatsoever to base that theory on, and it is clear to me that they were encouraged by the feds to promote that story.
Isn’t it interesting that the two most liberal, anti-Constitution and anti-American presidents we’ve ever had, Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama, felt most threatened by armed and organized citizens? My first response to their paranoia is, “What did you do??” Well, we know what they both did: They knowingly violated their oath of office and committed treason against the people of the United States. Clinton did it with his Free Trade agreements and assault weapon ban, among a long list of other misdeeds, and now Barrack Obama has clearly violated the Constitution and Bill of Rights with his health care reform mandates requiring Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a hefty fine via IRS enforcement. I have a feeling Obama is just getting warmed up.
I also have a feeling the “Birthers” are going to be getting a lot more attention now. There is no question that President Obama has made it practically impossible to verify where he was born because he refuses to provide his long form birth certificate, and if he had nothing to hide he would have put the matter to rest by providing proof of his American birth by now. I just read where a high-ranking, 18-year Air Force flight surgeon has placed his entire future on the line by refusing to follow further orders from Obama until Obama proves he was born in the U.S. and can legally hold the presidency. I hope this guy has better luck than Michael New.
