The title to this article was taken from one of Ronald Reagan’s speeches. It is as true as truth gets. Ronald Reagan, the icon of the conservative movement in America, understood the fundamental truth of the Founding Fathers of America.
The Founding Fathers of America understood that a strong central government would never work in a republican form of government, the form of government they gave the American people. They knew that. They had just declared the independence of Americans from the “strong central government” of King George of Great Britain.
Aren’t you getting a little tired of feeling like you’ve been mounted by the rabid dogs in our out of control Congress?
Albert Einstein once stated, “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
No better illustration of this quote can be gleaned than from last weeks “Unity Summit,” on health care, hosted by President Obama, in Washington D.C. Obama’s Chicago Community Organizing skills were on display for his sycophant media, as he tried to extort Congressional leaders with an arrogant, and disgusting diatribe of obfuscation against the will of the people … over and over again.
One of the keystones of the Obama administration’s energy policies has been a very expensive emphasis on “clean energy”, sometimes called “renewable energy”, allocating billions to the wind and solar energy producers. Like much of the “stimulus” bill that money is a waste.
The wind power trade group, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) has been pouring big bucks into a public relations effort to convince Americans that wind is the energy source of the future and that acres of wind turbines should be installed to replace the proven sources, primarily coal-fired, natural gas, and nuclear plants currently providing more than 80% of the nation’s electricity needs.
If a manufacturer produces sub-standard or unsafe products, as in the current Toyota debacle, you can take your sub-standard or unsafe product back for repair or a complete refund, but when a public school district produces sub-standard students, there is seemingly no recourse. You cannot send your kid back to school, even if s/he cannot read comprehensively or perform basic math. Further, there is no means to recoup the property taxes the parents paid to support the public school system their failing child attended.
Many read the Revelation and some accept it as prophetic. Others look at it and classify it as a bunch of bunk. Let’s look at it again. Specifically, let us look at Revelation chapter eighteen and rather than viewing it as a dream by some mystic, let’s look at it in light of history. Prophets, fortune tellers, and seers into the future understand and believe the axiom that history repeats its self. Perhaps, just perhaps the demise of Babylon in Revelation chapter eighteen is not speaking about historic Babylon but a modern day Babylon who is in the process of repeating the fate of the historic Babylon thousands of years ago. Further if there is indeed a modern day Babylon, America fits that profile to the tee. Join with me as we go through this chapter in Revelation and see how America could very well be the modern Babylon spoken of in the book of Revelation thousands of years ago.
A Rhode Island school board’s decision to fire the entire faculty of a poorly performing school, and President Obama’s endorsement of the action, has stirred a storm of reaction nationwide, with teachers condemning it as an insult and conservatives hailing it as a watershed moment of school accountability.
The decision by school authorities in Central Falls to fire the 93 teachers and staff members has assumed special significance because hundreds of other school districts across the nation could face similarly hard choices in coming weeks, as a $3.5 billion federal school turnaround program kicks into gear.
