Have you ever wondered why we humans never seem to learn from our past mistakes? Throughout recorded human history, one war is followed by another war, which is followed by yet another war. The people cry, “we want an end to war!” But the wars never end. Throughout recorded human history humankind have found themselves under one form of bondage or another with only brief periods of escape from tyranny, even though they cry out, “we want to be free.” Have you ever wondered just why these things are? Why do we keep finding ourselves repeating the same mistake over and over again, with no end in sight? The simple answer is that it’s just the nature of things. Is there away out of this seeming dilemma? Is there a way to escape this nature of things? The simple answer is yes, but it takes a tiny bit of effort on our part … but it can be done. The question that will be asked at the end of this article is, “are you willing to make that little effort now to break out of this endless chain of never ending cycles of war and strife for yourself and all those who will follow you?”
Ever since Sunday, when Congress passed what has come to be known as Obamacare, the news has been covering stories about bricks being thrown through the windows of Democratic offices, representatives being spit upon and harassed, and their having received threatening messages.
CNN reports that, “Washington (CNN) — Democratic congressional leaders Wednesday demanded Republicans join them in condemning a spate of threats and vandalism that has followed Sunday’s vote on a sweeping overhaul of the U.S. health care system.

We find it of great interest, the tactics used by the progressives when an issue gets too hot or contentious. They just change the name. Thus, man-caused global warming became “climate change”. Illegal alien has morphed into “undocumented worker”. Members of the black race are called “African-Americans”. Nationalizing the entire American Health Care industry has been dubbed “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act”, when in fact, it is the outright nationalization of the American Health Care industry by any other name.
Political correctness and name changing have gotten so out of hand, no one knows what the truth is any more.
I have not used that introduction for several years, but it certainly applies here.

The role of the Church in 21st century America has hit rock bottom. As a political influence, organized religion is treated as if it is irrelevant. By contrast, the historic influence of religion in the settling of the New World is undeniable. European mercantile motivations to explore, claim and develop the natural wealth of a rich continent, required more than daring adventurers. The repression in the mother counties played a pivotal part for the down trodden and oppressed to flee from the chains of persecution. Religious freedom was as important, if not paramount, for many of the brave souls seeking a new life.
Is there really any real fundamental truth or is everything left to do as its pleasure dictates? Consider the world you experience around you. Are there any absolute truths found there? Can you see instances of absolute truth in action? What you think about this subject of truth is very important. If we believe there is no absolute truth at work in the world, we would live in a very different world than one where absolute truth was at work.
At the most fundamental level, we can consider absolute truth to be the laws that govern the elementary particles that make up the world around us. Are there such fundamental laws that govern the stuff that makes up our world and the universe?
If a frontal assault on the foundational principals and values of American life can qualify as being “at war” – then yes, Barack Obama is in combat with our country. And while the belligerence of both his administration and his party’s congressional leadership have seemingly created a sense of alarm across the U.S., their apparent disregard for their own self-inflicted political damage is all the more staggering.
During the height of the Cold War, some feared the communists would take over the United States without firing a shot. Could it be that nearly a half-century later, we’re on the verge of that becoming a reality?
President Barack Obama and Democratic congressmen won their respective elections – no shots were fired – and they are feverishly attempting to dismantle this nation’s institutions, brick by brick.
The American people are getting a bird’s-eye view of what the left, which completely dominates the Democratic Party, thinks of the Constitution, freedom and the right of the people to self-governance.
The ‘Slaughter Solution’ would violate the Constitution
The Democrats are assaulting the very pillars of our democracy. As the debate on Obamacare reaches the long, painful end, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is confronting a political nightmare. She may not have the 216 votes necessary to pass the Senate’s health care bill in the House.
Hence, Mrs. Pelosi and her congressional Democratic allies are seriously considering using a procedural ruse to circumvent the traditional constitutional process. Led by Rep. Louise M. Slaughter, New York Democrat and chairman of the House Rules Committee, the new plan – called the “Slaughter Solution” – is not to pass the Senate version on an up-or-down vote. Rather, it is to have the House “deem” that the legislation was passed and then have members vote directly on a series of “sidecar” amendments to fix the things it does not like.
In 1956, The Elks Magazine published an article in which appeared the following quote by the Director of the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover, “The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.”
In the early part of the Cold War the spread of communism was a major concern in this country, and it was in regards to that threat that Hoover’s comments are attributed.
That may be true, but I often find myself asking, is it possible that Hoover may have been thinking about something else, something more ominous and diabolical?

What has happened to America and our beloved Constitutional Republic? What catalyst or disease transformed politicians into men and women who have become devoid of honor? No, not all of them, but way too many. Why have the principles of freedom and liberty become passé, out-of-date, or just plain irrelevant? How is it we have morphed into the false loyalty of ”my party, right or wrong, my party.” That’s Nazi stuff, not American. What on earth possessed us to “spit” on the foundation of our liberties, in favor of what …… Security? Comfort? Enslavement? Have we lost our collective minds?
House Democrats who support the Senate health care bill need 216 “yes” votes to pass it. Conversely, opponents of the bill need to secure 216 “no” votes to kill it. CNN contacted 100 House Democrats whose votes appeared to be in play. Here’s a look at those who say they’ll vote against the Senate bill no matter what, those who will oppose it unless there are significant changes, and those who are undeclared. The chart also shows how the lawmakers voted on the House version of the bill.
Thirty-three House Democrats have told CNN they haven’t yet decided how they will vote, and 23 have not responded to CNN’s repeated inquiries. (This means that there are 56 hide-a-heads! – Ed.)

Total Democratic “no” votes as of March 19, 2010: 29
If you are so inclined to submit to “their” demands, all you are required to do is answer Question #1:
“How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment or mobile home on April 1, 2010.”
Interesting question, as this date had not arrived at such time that all of the “Occupants” of any address in the united States had received same. But then, they “suggest” that you return these forms ASAP, so as to save the taxpayers the cost of a $57.00 visit to each home, if a response by mail is not received within (I think) 10 days.
Then of course, there is the part on-line, which says, “One of the shortest forms in history – 10 Questions in 10 Minutes.” Yeah! Sure! Except that there are about 5 pages, and an abnormal amount of questions regarding race – most of which listed are not even races, but Nationalities.

Has America evolved to the point where the government no longer needs to know your race? It’s an interesting and timely question, given our nation’s colorful and, at times, painful history when it comes to matters of race, as well as the importance placed on race in the 2010 Census.
Certainly, we have come a long way since the days of slavery and Jim Crow laws. The election of Barack Obama as the nation’s 44th president is a sign that America is becoming more color blind. Yet we still have a long way to go before we are able to do away with racial barriers, and it doesn’t help when, instead of dispensing with race-identifying questions, the U.S. Census Bureau is requiring citizens to take a colored view of themselves.
10th Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
You “gotta” love the framers of this great nation. Using 5,000 years of civilized history and knowing how rulers of men can morph into tyrants so easily, they crafted a blue print for freedom that so far has stood longer than most countries who colored the pages of history with liberty.
The Roman attempts at civilized rule went from the Roman Kingdom, to the Roman Republic, to finally the Roman Empire and then collapse. Its history was well documented and was a prime example of the evolution of a culture that could not withstand the ravages of human temptation, greed, avarice, arrogance, lust, insanity and the all consuming desire for absolute power.
Don’t you think, if the Democrats had the votes for Obamacare, it would be the law of the land right now?
I have been telling friends for days that it doesn’t matter if Obamacare is somehow “passed” by the House and sent to the White House for the President’s signature. It is as dead as Marley’s ghost.
The law will be challenged by law suits or possibly nullified because of the manner of passage and elements of its content that require citizens to buy health insurance. That is manifestly unconstitutional.
An activist is a person who feels strongly about a cause and who is also willing to dedicate time and energy towards advancing and realizing this cause.
This might be my own limited interpretation of what activism means. I was born and raised in a Gaza refugee camp where the daily struggles of the community included challenging military occupation while attempting to survive under the harshest of circumstances. Activism then involved civil disobedience, general strikes, confronting armed Israeli soldiers with stones and slingshots. But it also involved much more than that.
To promote bragging rights for how much good the stimulus money was doing for America, the Obama Administration set up a website called “Recovery.gov.” Recorded on the site were details by zip code and congressional district as to how much money was sent there and how many new jobs were created as a result. It was a great piece of public relations where news reporters and politicians could find and quote the latest “good news for the economy.”
However, there was one small problem. The Administration didn’t count on a group called New Mexico Watchdog, a project of the Rio Grande Foundation.
