Ten years into a new century, (a mere two- hundred and thirty- four years for the U.S. of A.) using history as our guide, we have, in the last thirty years, chosen for President a B-actor, an elitist whose father’s and grandfather’s patriotism was highly suspect, a morally impotent boy/man, a village idiot posing as a regular guy, and now, as we hang by a thread, we wait to see if hope floats. As if we would have learned by now that it’s pure insanity to expect a different outcome from the repetition of this four-year ritual, all these men were offered up as our choices by the latest Master’s of the Universe, known as “Inc.”, all powerful, all knowing: “Inc”, running the world with the fanaticism of a corporate mindset.
When President Obama announced he would commit the nation to reduce “greenhouse gas emissions” in accordance with the failed UN Copenhagen Climate Change Conference goals, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, issued yet another utterly crazed statement on January 29th.
“President Obama’s announcement marks a critical step forward in our effort to reduce the carbon footprint of the federal government—the largest consumer of energy in the U.S. economy.” For the record, the Capitol building’s electric power is provided by a coal-fired plant.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”
It would be my guess that to most people the preceding quote sounds vaguely familiar. I know for certain that anyone who has read my articles has definitely read it. Sadly I am of the belief that the vast majority who read it just glance over it without giving it more than a moments thought.
It seems to me that documents such as the constitution and the Declaration of Independence are taken for granted. But it is the principle contained within that quote which forms the foundation upon which our entire system of government was built.
On February 1, 2010, President Barack Obama released his proposed budget for the coming year. Most commentaries focus on debt, deficits, taxes, and unemployment. With the trillions of problems in Obama’s multi-trillion dollar budget, however, it is easy to overlook his gendered social engineering approach to the budget process and its impact on boys and men.
Let’s see if we have this right. The prevailing philosophy, that of course translates into government policy, a philosophy promoted and propagandized by government, radical environmentalists, the United Nations and the complicit media, is that we must conserve on everything. We must conserve on water. We must conserve on energy. We must conserve on land use.
Now that the philosophy and policy are established, the first question that comes to mind, is why must we conserve?
As the State of the Union address having been delivered up by the resident in the White House, usurper to the Oval Office, it would stand to reason that this column would focus on exposing it. But a lot of good columns have been written since Also Known As (AKA) Obama stood before Congress with Jack-in-the-Box Pelosi popping up and down behind him on cue, delivering one more round of half-truths and out-right lies to the Congress and the American people.
