In the movie the “Silver Streak” with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor, the engineer placed a tool box on the dead-man switch in the locomotive and the train became a runaway.  It crashed into the train station in downtown Chicago, totally destroying the station ….. in the movie of course.

In effect, Obama and the current congress have placed a tool box on America’s dead man switch and we, the passengers, are on a runaway.  The tool box is filled to over flowing with unconscionable, runaway spending.  But when the America-train finally crashes, it won’t be a train station that gets destroyed, it will be the death of American freedom and sovereignty.  The grim reaper is circling overhead right now, just waiting, like a flock of vultures, to swoop in and engorge on the gory aftermath.  And make no mistake, the aftermath of economic collapse, resulting from the runaway train crash, will be gory.

The final stage of world-wide socialism  and its negligent violation of the law of diminishing returns, is coming home to roost.  Governments have run out of other people’s money to transfer to those who dip their bills into the socialist’s pig trough.  Now governments are relying on trillions of borrowed money (debt), or freshly printed money (inflation), to pay the “feeders” at the pig trough ….. feeders who get very angry if their pig trough is not kept full.

Lenders to governments grow nervous and are becoming more and more reluctant to lend to other governments whose attempts to buy votes from the weak among us with rapidly depleting treasury dollars, have ended, or will end, in economic collapse.  It is just a matter of time.  None of what is going on in the White House or the Halls of Congress, or previous White Houses and previous Congresses, is sustainable.  It is a train wreck about to happen.

Many countries in Europe are on the brink of collapse already.  Greek is headed for massive civil unrest.  The once-proud cradle of Democracy that spawned the great philosophers and mathematicians like Aristotle, Socrates, Plato and Pythagoras, is out of money and spiraling out of control.  The powerful Greek unions won’t budge an inch and threaten strike if they don’t get what they demand.  Some European countries are talking secession from the European Union (EU).  The EU is saying “No Way”.

Other European countries, not yet in the throes of their own collapse, are refusing to aid their EU neighbors, that have plummeted over the economic cliff.  With economic collapse comes civil unrest and eventually revolution.  The adage that a hungry belly has nothing to lose by going to war, will become a violent reality.

Governments will resort to more violence to quell the unrest, as they are doing in the dictatorship of Iran as we speak.  Martial law will ensue throughout the world.  Soldiers and policemen will not be able to subdue the angry mobs.  And the violence will feed upon itself until it spreads world-wide and ushers in a third-world war.

Although Obama and crew have disabled the dead man switch with their tool box of out-of-control spending and outright socialist legislation, they aren’t the first ones to put a tool box on the dead man switch and send us careening down the tracks at an ever increasing pace.  Ever since the birth of American progressivism back in the early 19 hundreds, president after president and congress after congress have piled more and more weight into the tool box, so that now there is no way for the spring in the dead man switch to force the tool box up and out of the way.  We the people must get to the “engine” and lift the tool box off of the dead man switch and apply the brakes, or our future is sealed and it is a bleak future by any measure.

The question is, what do Americans do, as passengers on our runaway train?  They essentially have two very difficult choices.  Either they stay with train and try to bring the engine under control and apply the brakes before it crashes, or jump from the speeding train with what possessions they have and risk hunger, poverty, serious injury, or even death.

Some Americans will jump from the train and take refuge in obscurity, armed to the teeth and willing to go down for the count, to protect what they have.  The brave ones will stay with the train and make the arduous journey from the passenger cars to the engine and remove the tool box from the dead man switch and apply the brakes.  But in their trip from the passenger cars to the engine, the defenders of American freedom and sovereignty will encounter those that are feeding at the government pig trough and the politicians who keep the pig trough full.  The feeders and the politicians don’t care if the train crashes, just as long as the “feeders” get their swill when they want it and the politicians get the “feeder’s” vote when it comes election time.

If we can get our “house” in order, there is a chance we can stabilize the rest of the world.  There are enough Americans to get to the runaway “engine” in time before it crashes, but they must be willing to lay it all on the line and do it right now, if freedom and liberty are to be preserved for this and all future generations and America is to remain the beacon of hope for an entire planet.  If America dies, the world will be plunged into chaos and anarchy, for probably centuries.  The situation is that dire.
