Ewart: The Fraud That is Conservation

ewart_blogLet’s see if we have this right. The prevailing philosophy, that of course translates into government policy, a philosophy promoted and propagandized by government, radical environmentalists, the United Nations and the complicit media, is that we must conserve on everything. We must conserve on water. We must conserve on energy. We must conserve on land use.

Now that the philosophy and policy are established, the first question that comes to mind, is why must we conserve? What possible rationale could government, the environmentalists, the United Nations and the complicit news media have for “forcing” us into the mindset of conservation?

The first rationale is we must conserve because the resources are limited and we will eventually run out of those resources. The second rationale is that in creating energy and moving about in our machines with hulls, wheels or wings, we create CO2 and thus man is causing the run-away heating of planet Earth.

So let’s examine the two rationales. Do they hold water? (no pun intended)

If history is any guide at all, back at the turn of the 19th Century to the 20th Century, one of the sources of our energy was whale oil to light our lamps and as the population increased and cities grew larger, we needed more whale oil. Whale hunters were scouring the high seas for more whales and whales were in danger of going extinct. But then something strange happened. Some character discovered that the black goo oozing out of the ground in Pennsylvania could be “cracked” into lubricants and a highly efficient energy source called gasoline. Great suffering suck-a-tash! We didn’t need whale oil any more. We can only presume that the whales must have breathed a collective sigh of relief.conservation symbol

Electricity had been invented and we discovered that we could use that energy source for our lights and to power machines. The car was invented and we could go faster and farther in less time than the horse and buggy could take us and even faster than the “iron” horse, the train. Then the airplane was invented and with gasoline and kerosene we could go even faster and farther in much less time. Not to mention, we suddenly had a view of our Earth in the three dimensional perspective of a bird.

Then came hydro electricity, coal and natural gas fired power plants. Then came nuclear fired power plants. Our cities were a blaze with new light. Our factories hummed with faster and cheaper production. More jobs were created and a nation grew more prosperous and thrived on the vast quantities of seemingly infinite supplies of energy. The average America’s wealth grew in almost a direct proportion to the growth in our energy resources.

We invented rockets and rocket fuel and now we could go into space with chemical energy. We were at the jumping off point of going to the stars and sent probes to the moon, Mars, the outer planets and finally into the vastness of deep space as our probes exited the solar system. These probes are still sending back volumes of new information, every day.

Every time we ran into a road block, as free entrepreneurs, we found a way around it. America was on a roll and it seems that nothing could stop us. We were a can-do nation. We fed the world and led the world in food production, technology and manufacturing. Never once did we think of conservation.

But then along came the devil, dressed up in social justice and environmental protection, as promoted by those who had designs on a world government and control of all the people on the planet. Our can-do nation was stopped in its tracks. They told us that man is evil and was killing the planet with consumption and warming the fragile earth by producing too much carbon dioxide (CO2). We were told that if we did not stop our run-away consumption, stop production of CO2 and conserve every single resource, the planet was doomed and humans and other animals and birds were destined for their own extinction from rising water levels and other untold cataclysms. We were told that the U. S. Constitution was an impediment to the elite’s priorities of social justice and environmental protection and we would have to render up our wealth, our resources and our sovereignty to the rest of the world, to pay for our sins. Like the brain-dead dummies we are and to our own detriment, we “fell” for their social and environmental “crap”, hook, line and sinker.

Now we discover that global warming through man-generated CO2, was one of the biggest con games ever perpetrated on the 6 and a half billion people who occupy this planet. The books were cooked. The science was MAI ….. made as instructed. Their hidden agenda for world domination has been revealed. It is clear, at least to this observer, that the two rationales for conservation are an unmitigated fraud.

Ask yourself, if this policy of conservation is so important to the health of the planet, why then has Speaker Nancy Pelosi chalked up over $2,000,000 in military air transportation, food and adult beverages for her and her family, traveling back and forth from Washington DC to that den of socialists in San Francisco? Why does Al Gore go tooling around in his jet and live in a home that eats up more energy than 20 average homes? Why did 20,000 leaders and administrators from all over the world, descend on Copenhagen in December of 2009 and spread millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere in order to come to a decision on what to do about reducing CO2 levels? Why did a whole bunch of U. S. senators and representatives travel to Copenhagen for the Climate Summit and rack up over $1,000,000 in transportation, meals and lodging costs, if all these smart people really cared about conservation? You see the real policy folks is, “do as I say, not as I do.” We are elitists and we are above what the common folk are demanded to do. It is, pure and simple, unadulterated hypocrosy.

America is at a crossroads. We can either be inhibited by a lie, promoted by liars whose agenda is world control and step back a couple of centuries with the failed policy of conservation and wrap ourselves up in the pioneer world where we moved by foot or by horse and lived in log cabins and froze in the winter and fried in the summer. Or, we can re-claim our can-do status as a free nation and move boldly into the future with the undaunted spirit of a free people who will overcome declining resources with new sources of energy and production and thus new sources of wealth with which our innate generosity will spread around the world, as we are now doing in Haiti and did before with the over 200,000 victims of the 2004 Tsunami and have continued to do for the last 200 years of our Constitutional Republic. All we need is for government to get out of the way.

The world’s salvation rests on America, or any other nation who will walk our path to freedom. If America is brought to her knees by the lie of conservation, social justice and radical environmental protection and we willingly give up our freedom and sovereignty to the new world order, then we deserve to be a free nation no longer. So instead, let the nation’s new battle cry be:

“I’m Increasing My Carbon Foot Print and I’m Proud of it!”

Then maybe, just maybe, America will once again regain its status as the beacon of light and hope for the rest of the world, as is its profound destiny.
