Climate Deal Likely to Bear Big Price Tag

potomacWASHINGTON — If negotiators reach an accord at the climate talks in Copenhagen it will entail profound shifts in energy production, dislocations in how and where people live, sweeping changes in agriculture and forestry and the creation of complex new markets in global warming pollution credits.

So what is all this going to cost?

Reid Says Deal Resolves the Impasse on the Public Option

potomacWASHINGTON — The Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, said Tuesday night that he and a group of 10 Democratic senators had reached “a broad agreement” to resolve a dispute over a proposed government-run health insurance plan, which has posed the biggest obstacle to passage of sweeping health care legislation.

Mr. Reid refused to provide details. Other senators said the tentative agreement would sideline but not kill the “public option” championed by President Obama and liberal Democrats in Congress.

TARGET: Cornyn

point_blank_blogAnother example of a Federal Observer reader reaching out to his (s)elected official in Waashington, DeCeit!

Just think – what if we all sent letters – many of them – lots of them – to our elected officialDUMB… It would be just like the movie, “Miracle on 39th Street,” when the Courts were inundated with mail, which of course recognized Kris Kringle as the one and only Santa Clause. Man, with all of the extra mail – we might even save the U.S. Postal Service and put them in the black once again… Or is it just another fairly tale?????

Ewart: Bureaucracies – An Out-of-Control 4th Branch of Government!

postman_ewartPeter Goldmark is the new (elected in 2008) Washington State Public Lands Commissioner for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  You wouldn’t think from looking at his picture that he is anything but a real nice guy and is probably a good father, grandfather and husband, for all we know.  But his picture belies who he really is ……  an unabashed, radical environmentalist.

Here is a short biography of Mr. Goldmark, now a high-paid government politician and bureaucrat.

I’ve Been Wasting My Time

ross_jeff_thumbAnyone who has been reading my ramblings for any length of time has by now noticed that I continuously hammer away at the point that people are woefully ignorant, and apathetic, when it comes to what the Constitution says regarding the legitimate functions of our government.

All this time I have been providing people with quotes from our founding fathers, and legal data to support my views, and I have finally come to realize that it all has been a complete waste of my time.

Caruba: Climategate: A Willful Ignorance

eye_on_america_new“Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that the early 21st century’s developed world went into hysterical panic over a globally averaged temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree, and, on the basis of gross exaggerations of highly uncertain computer projections combined into implausible chains of inference, proceeded to contemplate a roll-back of the industrial age.” – MIT Professor Richard Lindzen, PhD, Atmospheric Science

“On such (climate) models we are supposed to wager trillions of dollars—and substantially diminished freedom.” – George F. Will, syndicated columnist, Washington Post

Long ago I took one science course in college because it was required, not because I had any great interest in science. The course was zoology and only my end of semester paper on raccoons, an assigned subject, avoided a failing grade. To this day, more than fifty years later, I still recall that its Latin name was Procyon lotar.

Official Immunity – Fact – - – or just a great big crock?

“If a nation expects to be ignorant and free… it expects what never was and never will be.” – Thomas Jefferson

guest_thumb_1It is obvious from the title that one readily recognizes which of the above this man believes.

So, the question is – is this man right or wrong?  Let us turn to a bit of logic, a type of rational reasoning that officials today seem devoid of – - or intentionally with malice and forethought willfully disregard law for their own and their master’s gain.

Our forefathers were actually refugees from one of the most oppressive types of government that existed at the time, governments that at the decree of one man or woman could declare death to the offender.  Or, imprison people for life for a mere disagreement.  The powers that be could deprive him of the use of his property, or place such a horrendous tax on land use that the poor fiefs could not pay, with eviction following.

Ewart: Have We Become a Nation of Wimps?

“There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change.  It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time.” – General George S. Patton

postman_ewartDo we now shrink from our enemies?  Do we cower in fear at the thought of battle?  Do we run from those that would destroy us if they could and are trying very hard to do it?  Do we convey to our enemies our strategies, troop strength, military hardware and time tables?  Do we now tip toe into the skirmish with a limited response and not engage the forces necessary to win an immediate victory?  Does it take 90 days to make up our minds on how we are going to fight a war that we have been engaged in for eight years?  Do we appoint generals to do the job of winning the war and then  ignore them when they tell us how to win that war?  Are there no men left who have the courage and the stomach to show the bully the door?  Has America and Americans descended to the level of that girly organization known as “Code Pink”?  Have we lost our collective minds?

Just a few citizens with courage…

samedi_thumbIt appears some US citizens are not afraid of  the ‘Boogymen’ and the ‘They’ …who are behind the political scenes trying to control the people of the USA thru usurping the US Constitutional Government and placing a fraud in the position of US President while corrupting the US Congress/Senate/Supreme Court/US Federal Reserve-Treasury and the Wall St. crowd.
