Just think – what if we all sent letters – many of them – lots of them – to our elected officialDUMB… It would be just like the movie, “Miracle on 39th Street,” when the Courts were inundated with mail, which of course recognized Kris Kringle as the one and only Santa Clause. Man, with all of the extra mail – we might even save the U.S. Postal Service and put them in the black once again… Or is it just another fairly tale?????
Dear Senator Cornyn:

Usually I click on the “send this message to your senator” link from an internet news service but I feel compelled to write directly this time.  In 1944 Norman Thomas, the Socialist Party presidential candidate said (in part), “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism.  But, under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened.  I no longer need to run as a presidential candidate for the Socialist Party.  The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.”

quickly than when this absurd idea of political correctness came to be “the law of the land.”  In 2007 Texas A&M recognized this definition of “political correctness”: ”Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”

I say all this to call you to rally your colleagues throughout both houses of congress and call for a return to a constitutional government.  This should be our first and immediate priority!  Our voters have allowed their representatives (employees) to ignore their wishes and run amok.  I call on you to not just vote against the present health care “reform” but to call for a complete ouster of the health care bills in both houses on the basis of their unconstitutionality.

You’ve read the bill and know this to be true.  If, before these bills became law, and the Supreme Court were able to compare these bills against the U.S. Constitution alone and not allow their personal feelings, biases and political leanings influence them, they would be shot down and declared unconstitional in the blink of an eye! These bills are not about health care but about government control.  Taxes that should not be called a tax?  How absurd!  We have been Taxed Enough Already!

I am a 21-year USAF veteran using Tricare.  According to the senate version of the proposed health care “reform,” my annual premium will skyrocket by 239 per cent!  My copay will more than double!  Here’s what I figure:  If there were only one million military retirees across our country, Tricare annual premiums would go from $460,000,000 to well over $10.5 BILLION.

The “justification” for this outrageous increase is that we use our doctors too much; raise premiums and we would think twice about how often we visit the doctor.  In reality, it won’t make us visit the doctor less, it only puts more money into government coffers.  Increase premiums for every American who lays out money for healthcare by the same percentages and it would easily bankrupt our country the first year, thus forcing us to rely solely on the government to control our lives.  The present healthcare bills are not about healthcare; they are about government control. Although attributed to several people, the following words are nonetheless wise and true: you cannot build character and courage, by taking away men’s initiative and independence.  You cannot help men permanently, by doing for them what they could and should, do for themselves. You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.

Senator Cornyn, I urge and plead for you to be the one to rally congress and move away from this destructive, socialist government we have created.  Believe me when I say, the voters will support this move each time they punch a chad, pull a lever or click and icon.
