Roberts: The Evil Empire

39_steps_blogNovember 8, 2009 – The US government is now so totally under the thumbs of organized interest groups that “our” government can no longer respond to the concerns of the American people who elect the president and the members of the House and Senate. Voters will vent their frustrations over their impotence on the president, which implies a future of one-term presidents. Soon our presidents will be as ineffective as Roman emperors in the final days of that empire.

Obama is already set on the course to a one-term presidency. He promised change, but has delivered none. His health care bill is held hostage by the private insurance companies seeking greater profits.

Veterans Day, Wednesday November 11th: A time to pause and thank our Veterans!

eagle_flag_thumbBut is America still a Free and Sovereign Nation where courageous men and women fought for the right of free speech, the press, worship, the right to keep and bear arms and real freedom?

Do we still teach our children about men like Patrick Henry who said “Give me Liberty or Give me Death?”

What does Veterans Day mean to you?

Send the Traitors Packin’ in 2010

bennett_blog_2Over four decades ago, I swore an oath to defend this nation against ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic. I have paid honor to that oath and have never forsaken it – what of those, whom we entrusted with this nations future.

America, I gave my best to you. What the hell have these traitors done for this nation?

Landmark health insurance bill passes House

Tough fight still ahead in Senate, and two versions have wide difference.

November 8, 2009 – I’ll not waste much time on an issue, which I have fought vehemently against for most of the year. The lying basTURDS in the House of (non)Representation in Washington, DeCeit have ignored the outrage of the American people, and once again sold out to the special interest groups.

Ewart: Traitors Have Just Pierced The Heart of America!

“. . . from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee.”

fianl_nail_miniNovember 7, 2009 - In essence, that is what the Democrats in the U. S. House of Representatives said to the American people on the night they shot an arrow into the heart of freedom ….. but unfortunately, it wasn’t their last breath.  In unprecedented arrogance they pointed their middle finger at each one of you and said freedom doesn’t matter, the constitution doesn’t matter and what is right under the umbrella of liberty, doesn’t matter.  The only thing that matters to them is “buying” more votes from ignorant, naive and hopelessly dependent people by nationalizing American Health Care, to once and for all put a progressive/liberal/socialist/Marxist hold on the balance of power in the United States of America, in perpetuity.  Never have so few trampled on so many free souls and apparently, so far at least, without consequences.

Ft. Hood: One Woman’s Opinion

point_blank_blogNovember 6, 2009 – I have been following the horrible massacre (a.ka. terrorist attack) at Ft. Hood, TX since yesterday at 2:15 when I first saw it on television (interrupted) and also on Talk Radio both days.  I have watched all the networks, except MSNBC…….and they are all concerned.  You see the resolve of the American people come together and it is almost like GOD allowed this to happen to bring us together and to also show our President that the American People are important.  His Healthcare Debate or Bill is a railroad into Socialism…….God is saying here, “Hey Folks I am in Charge, not the President.”

Tonight on the show 360 with Anderson Cooper, Cooper questioned a Dr. Finnell a Army Physician; a 2007-2008 Masters Degree classmate of Major Hasan in an Environmental Studies class on Hasan’s character.

Granny: The TIES that BIND America

juntii_thumbNovember 7, 2009 – In surfing the news this morning and reading the articles related to the three shootings – Texas, Florida, Seattle – in reading the background on the individuals involved a thought crosses my mind.  While these events are terrible in themselves I look to WHY and in all of them I see one root cause of it all…   GOVERNMENT….  a government that has gone way beyond the constraints that the Constitution set forth for our government to govern within.

Stay with me on this one as it isn’t easy for me to type it out with great clarity.  My mind is racing with thoughts and trying to get them into words to read is not easy.

I would like you to think about how each of these events are rooted in a government that has gone wild with CONTROL and elimination of FREEDOM for all in America.

Hirschhorn: What Physicians Know

health_watch__thumbI had a long conversation with my favorite physician, who has operated on me twice successfully.  He is an incredibly kind person without an ounce of greed or pretense.  Like other physicians I have spoken to, he spoke eloquently about the terrible times he consistently has with private health insurance companies.

While he praises Medicare for its simplicity and certainty, he has absolutely nothing positive to say about private insurers.  They take up huge amounts of time of him and his staff, trying in every possible way to deny services to their customers (his patients) and also to pay as little as possible to him.  His endless struggles with the insurance companies make his life miserable.

Pelosi Caught In Prostitution Ring

Washington – Yesterday, in the midst of the HealthCare fight on Capital Hill, Speaker of the Housenaughty_nancy was called to the White House to report to the head Pimp. While there,  there was a raid at the White House. Nancy Pelosi and all the Congressional Hoes were lined up outside the police station as they took them in one by one.

As Nancy Pelosi stood in line, she saw her Grandmother coming down the street and was so ashamed, (Grandma didn’t know about Nancy’s occupation.) Grandma stopped to say hi and asked what the line was for. Pelosi, saving face, said that the police were giving away fresh oranges to those waiting. Grandma said, “Wonderful.” She loved oranges and got at the end of the line.

When the policeman got to the end and saw her, he was amazed. He said, “How the hell do you Democrats do this at your age?”

She replied, “My grand-daughter does the same thing with The Constitution! I just take out my teeth, rip the skin back and suck ‘em dry!”

The policeman fainted.

Attention Jihadists…

american-flag-and-sabre_02First of all, the only reason that you rag-headed, filthy bastards shake your fists at us is because, like all punks who hide behind skirts and mothers’ aprons, and yes, mosques, you know that our weak-kneed and yellow-livered political leadership will not accept your proclamation of war against our nation.

However, you had better pray that I not become the Commander-In-Chief of our nation’s military, because, so help me God – the rightful and just God – I would unleash a rain of warfare on your house that you would wish that you had never even mentioned or thought of waging war against the United States of America.

National Health Care: Resurrecting the Welfare State

guest_thumb_1November 6, 2009 – Feminists have exercised nearly unfettered control of Congress’s social policy philosophy since the creation of the Great Society.  That arrangement, designed to help a few women in trouble, evolved into an industry executing the feminist goal of destroying marriage.  The ever-escalating demands to entitle non-marriage and out-of-wedlock procreation never end.

Welfare state expansions have eviscerated the function of marriage.  Marriage naturally guarantees women the economic support and domestic assistance of their husbands.  The feminist Oleanna is truly a nightmare burdening women with “doing it all”, earning a living, raising the children, doing the laundry, and everything else around the household.

On the Hill: Protesters Chant ‘Kill the Bill’

potomacNovember 5, 2009 – Thousands of opponents of the Democrats’ health care legislation are gathered outside the Capitol, for a noon news conference and rally led by Representative Michele Bachmann, Republican of Minnesota, and the chants are already underway, echoing across the Mall.

“Kill the bill!” they are shouting. “Kill the bill!”

A series of spot interviews suggests that the protesters have come to Washington from all across the country – Texas, Ohio, Oregon and the greater Washington area. It’s a generally older crowd, many in their 50s and 60s, predominantly, white, and many self-identified as Christians. They are fiercely conservative and deeply skeptical of the government, many of them adamantly opposed to abortion rights.

Ewart: Energy = Prosperity And Wealth

ewart_blogIt was freedom that started America’s “engine” but it was energy that launched her down the tracks.  For most of her first 100 years, before a young America was pole vaulted onto the world stage, there were seven forms of energy.  Man power, horse power, wind power, steam power, crude direct-current electrical devices, coal and whale oil.  Steam power gave us steamships and steam locomotives.  Steam locomotives connected the lower states and territories with the transportation of goods and people by land.  Steamships gave us transportation of goods and people by sea.  Crude electrical devices gave us the telegraph for long distance communication and eventually light through Edison’s light globe.  Nevertheless, all these instruments of transportation and communication gave the new land a huge leg up from the antiquated days of sailing vessels, stage coaches and horse and buggy.

2010: Year of the Third Party

vote_early_often_thumbNovember 4, 2009 – Yesterday, Doug Hoffman set the stage and turned the tide with his race for NY-23.  Naysayers–Democrats and Republicans alike–will argue the point saying, “But he lost!”  YEAH-sayers will wisely counter with, “But he almost won!”  Hoffman’s run should serve as a green light for third parties; as a call to Everyman.  America needs honest candidates with strong ethical principles, and in 2010 HONOR will have its best chance to make a comeback.

Remember typing class from way back when? “Now is the time for all good men [and women] to come to the aid of their country.”  The time is certainly now.  If Americans will accept the challenge of reclaiming America; of putting it back on its Founding Principles, then this coming year–November 2009 through November 2010–will become the Year of the Constitution, as well as the Year of the Third Party.

VANISHING JOBS: Work in the 21st Century

out_past_thumbExcerpt: Sophisticated computers, robots, telecommunications, and other Information Age technologies are replacing human beings in nearly every sector. Factory workers, secretaries, receptionists, clerical workers, salesclerks, bank tellers, telephone operators, librarians, wholesalers, and middle managers are just a few of the many occupations destined for virtual extinction. In the United States alone, as many as 90 million jobs in a labor force of 124 million are potentially vulnerable to displacement by automation….

SOME BUSINESS LEADERS ARE CONCERNED, BUT POLITICIANS SEEM STRANGELY DEAF TO WHAT IS LIKELY TO BE THE MOST EXPLOSIVE ISSUE OF THE DECADE:  “WILL THERE BE A JOB FOR’ ME IN THE NEW INFORMATION AGE?”

Gifford: Hollywood Receives Government Help — Why No Salary Caps?

sunset_thumb_newWhen Uncle Sam fought WWII, Hollywood backed him with patriotic movies and war bond drives and moral boosting celebrity appearances. When Uncle Sam fought Communists, Hollywood was a mixed bag. His GIs in Korea got support. His GIs in Vietnam, not so much, as some damned his war with movies of faint praise that depicted Imperialist aggression by ugly Americans against peoples who just wanted be free from capitalist exploitation.

Hollywood on Uncle Sam’s terrorism fight? Don’t even ask

But now that it’s Uncle Obama on the warpath against the most diabolical villain in the populist panoply, Hollywood is back to showing its anti-Axis resolve against this most indefensible of enemies.

Caruba: A Turning Point, Swiftly Reached

capital_iwoThe November 3rd elections were a turning point, swiftly reached.

The inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama was followed by Tea Parties around the nation that aggregated into the huge September 12 rally in Washington, D.C. And barely two months later, the election of Republican governors in Virginia and New Jersey. In Maine, the voters repealed the authorization of same-sex marriage, an anathema as morally debased as abortion.

My mind went back to Barry Goldwater’s acceptance speech at the Republican convention in 1964. “I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

As Subprime Lending Crisis Unfolded, Watchdog Fed Didn’t Bother Barking

coin_n_currency_thumbThe visits had a ritual quality. Three times a year, a coalition of Chicago community groups met with the Federal Reserve and other banking regulators to warn about the growing prevalence of abusive mortgage lending.

They began to present research in 1999 showing that large banking companies including Wells Fargo and Citigroup had created subprime businesses wholly focused on making loans at high interest rates, largely in the black and Hispanic neighborhoods to the south and west of downtown Chicago.
The groups pleaded for regulators to act.

The evidence eventually led Illinois to file suit against Wells Fargo in July for discrimination and other abuses. But during the years of the housing boom, the pleas failed to move the Fed, the sole federal regulator with authority over the businesses.

Zündel: About the Forgotten Battle of Halbe

stalin_j_thumbIn the early 1980s, I was working in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., doing research for my trilogy called “Lebensraum“, narrating my family’s flight from the Ukraine in 1943 under the protection of the retreating German forces.  There, I came upon an article describing the last major World War II battle between the German Wehrmacht and the Russians that took place, as I remembered it in fragments, in the vicinity of Berlin.

I was caught in its midst  as an eight-year-old child when it happened.

Whitney: When the Dollar Rallies, the Market Will Crash

canned_dollars_thumbNovember 3rd, 2009 - Interest rates. The Fed does not need slinky women in plunging necklines to peddle money. All it needs is low interest rates. When rates are pushed lower than the rate of inflation, the Fed provides a subsidy for borrowing. This is not as hard to grasp as it sounds. If I offered to give you $1.00 for very 90 cents you gave me in return, you would buy as many dollars from me as you could. The Fed operates the same way. It generates market activity by creating incentives for borrowing. Borrowing leads to speculation, and speculation leads to steadily rising asset prices. This is how the game is played. The Fed is not an unbiased observer of free market activity. The Fed drives the market. It fuels speculation and controls behavior by fixing interest rates.

Bullets are speeding faster out of gun shops…

A SHORTAGE OF AMMUNITION: Demand is up despite drop in crime rate

breech_thumb_newNovember 3, 2009 – In a year of job losses, foreclosures and bag lunches, Americans have spent record-breaking amounts of money on guns and ammunition. The most obvious sign of their demand: empty ammunition shelves.

At points during the past year, bullets have been selling faster than factories could make them.

Gun owners have bought about 12 billion rounds of ammunition in the past year, industry officials estimate. That’s up from 7 billion to 10 billion in a normal year.

It has happened, oddly, at a time when the two concerns that usually make people buy guns and bullets — crime and increased gun control — seem less threatening than usual.
