What follows is worth your time and consideration. I have been most supportive of the author for this month-long project, which he felt compelled to take on. The opening segment, is from a cover letter, which he sent along with copies of his letter to the (dis)Honorable, Senator Charles E. Schumer, (D) New York. (Ed.)

“I have enclosed a copy of an important letter for your careful review. I spent over a month struggling to arrange my thoughts, revising, and rewriting, and finally putting them to paper for this particular piece to US Senator Schumer – it is THAT important to me. With my work schedule as a school bus driver, I live life like a hamster on a treadmill and very seldom have time to write such an involved piece anymore, so this general cover letter will have to do to inform you. Please pay me the courtesy of reading the letter. You will soon realize that I wrote this piece in the strongest possible terms. I have a great fear for the very safety and security of our Republic, the United States of America – AND it’s continued existence as a sovereign nation.

In my humble opinion ‘We the People’ have been ignored and cheated – and have not received honest government for the last 40 or more years. Good Americans die every day for causes not worth dying for, and our government continually forces itself on other countries around the world – while at the same time IGNORES its own people’s plight. I spent an entire blue-collar working life watching job after job slip from my grasp to the benefit of the self-serving and greedy of this nation – to the point now where there is nothing left of the ‘American Dream’.

All the ‘good jobs’ have left the country. While the well-to-do ‘establishment’ would certainly argue, I KNOW it for a fact; because for what seemed the umpteenth time I “re-educated” myself yet again and earned a college degree when I was 54 years of age. And even that did not lead to the elusive ‘American dream’. Not a chance. Now at 63, I find myself transporting children who don’t seem to know how to learn and don’t act like they want to anyway. Can you blame them? Perhaps they have been paying attention to the national bad news – and have realized to their chagrin that there ARE no jobs left for them – hence, no future.

While I fully realize my letter to the Senator is lengthy, the problems created by inept politicians are colossal by comparison. The important thing, of course is saving our country from sure ruin. Please read my letter with an open mind. My sole intent is to somehow make a positive difference – to save us all from the hell I see coming very soon. Partisan politics must go the way of the dinosaurs. We MUST all pull together – in the same direction, and in unison, for any positive change to occur. Please help me help America. Your response is certainly most welcome.”

This past Thursday (November 5, 2009) 13 American Soldiers were killed and another 30 wounded at a horrific mass shooting at US Army installation, Ft Hood Texas.  As I watched in horror and then anger I recalled my two years of final service in the Army as a Battalion Commander at Ft Hood, 2002-2004.

My wife and two daughters were stunned at the incident having lived on the post in family housing.

A military installation, whether it is Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, or Coast Guard, is supposed to be a safe sanctuary for our Warriors and their families.  It is intended to provide a home whereby our “Band of Brothers and Sisters” can find solace and bond beyond just the foxhole but as family units.

A military installation is supposed to be a place where our Warriors train for war, to serve and protect our Nation.

Now that Chicago was knocked out of the Olympics there is going to be hell to pay for this 50 million dollar expedition. Bodies will be found floating in the Chicago River, or out on the streets, afflicted by that age old Chicago disease: H1N1 Lead poisoning.

First casaulty of the Obama/Daley Olympic Scam:

Chicago Sun Times: November 17, 2009 – Chicago Public Schools President, and Chicago 2016 Olympic Committee member, Michael Scott, was found floating in the Chicago River with a bullet wound in his head.

AUTHORS NOTE: This was originally written as a letter to GOP Headquarters in Washington D.C. It was suggested by someone I admire and trust that I convert it into a commentary as it had info that all should consider. So, by request I present you with the following thoughts.

At the ripe young age of 18 my parents took me to the County Clerks office so I could register to vote. That was in 1976. I registered as a Republican, not because I believed in what they stood for, but because I was young and naive and didn’t know, or care about the differences between the two political parties.

I voted in the elections when they came around. I just went down the list and voted for anyone who was running on the Republican party ticket. If there were more than one candidate, I picked the best sounding name. Bright kid, wasn’t I?

A Disinfectant on Congress?

There is a lot of talk across the nation about how to replace sitting members of Congress and restore the Republic as established by the Founders. The conversations usually end in frustration as 95% of incumbents continue to be re-elected, seemingly untouchable inside a system designed to keep them in office.

Most polls indicate that well over 80% of Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing, yet 95% of incumbents get re-elected every election. Why? Because the process for selecting our representatives is broken.

As I shared this commentary, several thigs became apparent to me, and among them were to think like your enemy, speak like your enemy, and act like your enemy.

After over forty years since this commentary was written, so many of the “conspiracies”, which the author speaks of – turned out to not be conspiracies at all – but FACT (Ed.).

(Recently), a radicalized Muslim, US Army officer shouting, “Allah is great!” committed the worsst act of terror on American soil since 9/11 – and no one wants to call it an act of terror or associate it with Islam….

I rarely hear from pro-free traders anymore because most of them have now realized their error, not because of anything I, or Ross Perot, or any other sane person tried to tell them, but because most people do have a grasp of the obvious, and it is now obvious that enacting those free trade agreements was the direct cause of the economic mess the majority of Americans now find ourselves in.
