Ewart: Energy = Prosperity And Wealth

ewart_blogIt was freedom that started America’s “engine” but it was energy that launched her down the tracks.  For most of her first 100 years, before a young America was pole vaulted onto the world stage, there were seven forms of energy.  Man power, horse power, wind power, steam power, crude direct-current electrical devices, coal and whale oil.  Steam power gave us steamships and steam locomotives.  Steam locomotives connected the lower states and territories with the transportation of goods and people by land.  Steamships gave us transportation of goods and people by sea.  Crude electrical devices gave us the telegraph for long distance communication and eventually light through Edison’s light globe.  Nevertheless, all these instruments of transportation and communication gave the new land a huge leg up from the antiquated days of sailing vessels, stage coaches and horse and buggy.

But a discovery in the farm country of northwestern Pennsylvania in 1859, would add an eighth form of energy that would change the world forever and bring untold prosperity and wealth to America and its citizens, the likes of which had never been seen before since the dawn of civilization.  Colonel Edwin Drake sunk the first crude oil well in America.  From crude oil came the most efficient form of energy ever discovered at that time, in a range of combustible, lubrication and plastic products that launched an explosion of inventions for the creation of heat, the movement of people and goods and a range of other products too numerous to mention here.   An unexpected by-product of crude oil extraction was natural gas, another highly efficient form of clean-burning energy.

Freedom created the environment in which all the different forms of energy could be exploited to better the conditions and increase the living standard of the average American.  Energy literally created the American middle class, virtually non-existent in the rest of the world.  It created wealth and riches beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.  Industries rose up and millions of jobs emerged as a result of the abundant and efficient forms of energy that had been discovered.   Energy was used to generate electricity in coal and natural gas-fired power plants and the resulting electricity lighted our homes, ran our appliances and powered our factories.  With enough energy there was no job that Americans could not do and America had the energy.

We built massive hydro-electric dams that generated electricity and almost limitless quantities of irrigation water.  Arid lands were turned fertile when the valves were opened to let the precious, impounded water flow to an exploding agricultural industry.  Not only were Americans feeding themselves, they were feeding a good portion of the world as well.110509 ewart

Energy, conceived under freedom, propelled America into an unequaled military and commercial world power.  Energy won two world wars.  American energy has brought freedom to over a billion people.  The use of efficient energy has allowed America to be the only true super power and all other countries are reluctant to pull the tiger’s tail for fear of unleashing the tiger’s wrath.

America is the most generous nation on Earth because of the ways in which we have employed energy, to not only fight our wars but to use our war machinery in helping other nations in time of natural disasters and plagues.  No other nation is as generous as America and that generosity is the direct result of energy being converted into prosperity and wealth.

But the rest of the world is envious of our wealth and prosperity, created from our abundant sources of energy.  Americans consume too much.  Americans are rich and thus arrogant and unfeeling towards the poverty of the rest of the world.  Americans must be taught a lesson and its wealth and resources must be plundered ….. plundered under the misguided premise that man is a pollutant on the planet and his run-away consumption must be brought to an abrupt halt and its wealth re-distributed to the rest of the world in reparations for allegedly damaging the planet.

The flawed policies of social justice and radical environmentalism (UN’s Agenda 21) were created out of thin air and became the rationale for stripping America of its resources and re-distributing its wealth through CO2 emission limits and cap and trade schemes.  International treaties became the mechanism to do the plundering.  Our presidents and the U. S. Congress have become complicit in this international grand larceny of an unprecedented magnitude.

Our own natural resources that produced our energy, were walled off by environmental regulations, forcing us into dependency on oil-rich nations for our energy ….. many of those nations being our enemies.  Oil, coal and natural gas resource production have been and are continuing to be, severely limited.  Power generation and oil refineries have been ruled persona-non-grata and no plants have been built in over 30 years.  Why?  Because national and international environmentalists and their co-conspirators in government, unilaterally say it must be.

America now lags in energy production and electrical distribution to meet the needs of a growing population and our standard of living, instead of growing, is now retreating.  Electricity generation and distribution cannot meet demand during some extreme weather conditions and brown outs and black outs are and will become more common.  Instead of creating more energy, we turn away from the very element that made America the powerhouse for good that it once was.

We are being told we must conserve, rather than finding and exploiting our known energy resources to meet demand.  We are told that we are evil and that we will destroy the planet if we bring on more power generation that will allow us to consume more.  We are told on the one hand that we must cut back, but then we are told on the other hand that it will only be by Americans buying and consuming more to bring us out of recession, or the impending depression.  But the contradiction is, if we consume more, we then have to produce more and that takes energy …… energy that is waning instead of growing.

All this we are being told, is based on a false premise that Americans are evil, they consume too much and they produce way too much carbon dioxide that will eventually trigger rapid global warming and doom the planet and the humans that occupy it, to deprivation, starvation, drowning and ultimately, mass annihilation.  The premise is not only false, it is a premeditated fraud.  It is deceit and the greatest con game ever perpetrated on a naive populace, by those who desire to increase their power, increase their world influence and increase their wealth, at the expense of American energy and thus American wealth, American prosperity and the American middle class.

Those who desire to strip America of its wealth, its resources, its freedom and its sovereignty, are doing so by starving America of its energy ….. the very energy that created America’s wealth, prosperity and even its generosity.  If Americans let the money changers, power brokers, socialists and radical environmentalists rob us of our energy, the criminals will be successful in not only taking away our wealth and prosperity, but they will take from us our liberty as well.

If we allow those who desire absolute dominion over us, to control our energy, our food, our water, our land and our health, they will suck the blood of freedom out of the arteries and veins of our lives and the greatest force for good that was ever designed by man, America, will descend into revolution, chaos and then anarchy.  The only thing that will stop the future that now lays before us, is for millions of Americans to rise up and re-claim our Constitutional Republic, by whatever means necessary.  We cannot stress enough ….. the situation is that dire.

  1. Jonathan says:

It breaks my heart to say it, but this generation of Americans deserves everything it gets. Everything.

The dope smoking hippies of the 60s have spread their cancerous cultural Marxist filth around the world. And the “good people” of America did nothing but complain and go along with it anyway. They are not worthy of what their forebearers gave them. Americans will have much to answer for in the hereafter. To squander and waste such gifts from God will not go unnoticed in this life or in the next.

God will not bless a country that sanctions immorality. His word says so. America has become the engine of debauchery, hedonism and moral corruption around the world. Many of the evils being unleashed upon the world have originated here. Gay rights, abortion, nuclear fear, the environmental movement, sexual perversions mass distributed in video and on the internet. Vanity, pride, the annihalation of high culture and the promotion of mediocrity and bland utilitarianism. Abstract art, mass shootings, cultural Marxism. The general destruction of morality and culture.

And as much as we hate to admit it…. Islamofacism is as much about a reaction to the toxicity of modern society as it is a reawakening of the imperialist impulses of that “religion.” Even in the days of our colonization of the Islamic world, there was NEVER as much hatred and disdain for us. Indeed, there was respect. Now, the rest of the world sees us as beneath them in every way, and it is insulting to put up with us.

And let me close by saying that I would rather live in a third world country, in grinding poverty and deprivation, than live in a country that is rich and sanctions homosexual marriage. It grinds my soul to think that my grandchildren might be forced to submit to the rule of people like Barney Frank who is nothing but a filthy sodomite.
