The data manipulation and fraud stench is too strong to be ignored any longer
As frigid Copenhagen prepares for the upcoming Climate Armageddon confab, a predictable barrage of hothouse horrors has been unleashed, to advance proposals to slash hydrocarbon use and carbon dioxide emissions, restrict agriculture and economic growth, and implement global governance and taxation.
CO2 has reached a new high (0.0385% of the atmosphere), we’re told, because of cars and “coal-fired factories of death.” Rising seas are forcing families to “flee their homes.” Oceans are becoming “toxic.” Climate change is driving Philippine women into prostitution. Higher temperatures will “increase the likelihood of civil war in Sub-Saharan Africa” and “bring human civilization to a screeching halt.” The Associated Press, BBC and other “mainstream” media dutifully regurgitate every press release.
Albert Einstein once said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Even if Einstein had never discovered the Theory of Relativity, that statement alone shows that he was wise beyond his years.
Putting aside those who were born with learning disorders, I see a lot of stupid people running around in this country. I am sure that statement is not going to make me many friends, but after I am finished, I hope you will at least understand why I said it.
The reason I say I see a lot of stupid people can be best explained by a quote I read in Wikipedia, “Stupidity is distinct from irrationality because stupidity denotes an incapability or [an] unwillingness to properly consider the relevant information.” In other words, stupidity can be defined as willful ignorance.
An ancient saying has it that “gold doesn’t stink.” A modern corollary might be: “Investors do.” Well, at least I’ve caught a whiff of something: A short-term fall in the price of gold, soon.
A subset of investors have gone perhaps a bit too whole hog, and the price of gold is now racing upwards at an increasingly unsustainable rate.

Mike was less than an hour from home in Minnesota after dropping his load off in Fargo but knew he needed to top his tank off this Sunday evening to insure his rig would make it home. He pulled into the Petro Truck Stop just outside of Fargo and hopped out of the cab into the bitter twenty below temperatures which he could not believe had already hit at ten o’clock at night. He slid his fuel card into the pump waiting for the next prompt when the “SEE ATTENDANT” message flashed in the screen. He blustered, figured it was another card problem and whipped out his Master Card and slid it in after the pump reset and again the “SEE ATTENDANT” message flashed up. “What the hell is going on?” he thought to himself as he wandered into the long line of drivers boisterously yelling at managers and clerks alike.

What weapons will this new conqueror use to subjugate and unify by force or other means, the peoples of the world under the brutal hand of an all-powerful, dominant King ….. or is it a bunch of bankers? What!!!!!!!!? Not man-caused global warming! It couldn’t be. The people of the world aren’t that dumb ….. or are they? Who was it that said: “If you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the perception of truth in the general population”.
Two-dozen Democrats from Republican-leaning districts, who voted for the House version of President Obama’s increasingly unpopular health care reform, are beginning to feel a growing public backlash. ReversetheVote.org has already raised $123,105 that will be dedicated exclusively to defeating all 24, including Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., in 2010 if they don’t reject the final conference committee version of the bill. They “voted to take away your healthcare and put it in the hands of federal bureaucrats,” the Web site says. “Democrats made a choice … next fall, voters will make a choice.”
Democratic Sen. Richard Durbin recently was asked if a national health care bill would pass the Senate by the end of the year. “It must,” Durbin responded. “We have to finish it.”
Many other top Democrats share Durbin’s determination to meet this deadline. But it’s almost certainly not going to happen, for three reasons: the calendar, the Senate’s other business, and, most importantly, growing public opposition to the health bill itself.
