It’s always an honor to have writers from other publications and/or email lists reference the Federal Observer in their writings. It’s the old adage that it’s better to have them say something, rather than nothing at all.

The following was received earlier this evening from our good friend, Neal Ross, and as he should, he has chosen to respond to the author with several pointed questions. (Ed.)

Someone went to a great deal of trouble to comment on my article entitled, Time Is Running Out. Their efforts can be found in an article entitled, ‘Our Home Half of the Ninth Inning is Only 14 Months Away‘, which can be found at http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/14558

I felt it worthy of some sort of comment. So this is how I responded.

First of all I am honored to have a column devoted entirely to what I wrote about. Even though you may disagree with me, it means that at least someone is reading what I write.

If you think that we can restore our once great nation getting behind conservatives, and by conservatives I take it to mean the GOP, I guess things like the Patriot Act do not bother you.

We had two chances, prior to the last election, to do something. We could have supported Ron Paul. But folks like Sean Hannity made sure he never got a chance. Or we could have supported Constitution Party Candidate Chuck Baldwin.

Both the Republican and the Democratic parties have sold this country, and the people in it, down the river. If you believe that supporting either of them is going to restore our Constitutional Republic, you must have been drinking the same Kool Aid that the Obamanoids were drinking.

Durward is right, those in power are not going to give it up without a fight. They will continue to infringe upon our liberty and usurp powers not authorized, until the people have had enough and refuse to obey their laws.

It is when that happens, and when they begin to come after those who have had enough of this governments abuses of powers, that the proverbial excrement will hit the fan.

People are fed up. Tensions are such that we are akin to a powderkeg waiting for a spark.

Just as our nations founders did not plan the ‘shot heard round the world’ there is no plan for retaking our nation from those in power. It is just going to happen whenever they push someone too far. It could be me, it could be someone else. But when that first shot is fired, it will be the beginning.

That scenario may be distasteful to some, but to those of us who value our liberty above all else, we are watching, and waiting.
