Nationalized Health Care – Count Dracula in Disguise

draculathumbAugust 13, 2009 - The issue of Nationalized Obama Care (not national health care) has captured the nation again, as it did with Hillary Care in 1994, that cost the Democrats the loss of the House and the Senate to the Republicans.  This over 1000-page, legal mumbo-jumbo monstrosity is one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation ever proposed by any American government since the American Revolution.  It will take over every aspect of our lives, remove any semblance of individual privacy and drive the price of health care and just about everything else, through the roof.  Income taxes will be increased on everyone to pay for it and it won’t be enough.  Government, in order to manage our health care for us, will have access to our income tax records, our medical records and our employment records.  All this information will be collected in giant government computer data bases and then dumped into lap tops that can be lost or stolen.  None of our private information will be safe.  Every single American will be just a social security number to these over-paid politicians and bureaucrats.

Our economy will suffer big time.  Jobs will be lost in response to health-care penalties on small businesses.  Small businesses will go out of business as nationalized health care picks winners and losers.  Being “big” will get you an exemption, or outright favorable treatment.

Ronald Reagan Speaks out on Socialized Medicine

reagan_thumb1961My name is Ronald Reagan. I have been asked to talk on several subjects that have to do with the problems of the day. It must seem presumptuous to some of you that a member of my profession would stand here and attempt to talk to anyone on serious problems that face the nation and the world. It would be strange if it were otherwise.

Most of us in Hollywood are very well aware of the concept or the misconception that many people, our fellow citizens, have about people in show business. It was only a generation ago that people of my profession couldn’t be buried in the churchyard. Of course the world has improved since then, we can be buried now. As a matter of fact, the eagerness of somebody to perform that service gets frightening at times.

Those who have stood…

39_steps_blogAugust 12, 2009Sheesh -  what a day – one that is bringing up so many memories of events that I have been involved in one way or another over the past few years..  This is only the ‘recent’ memories…

As I was reading the article by Mike V that mentioned J.J. Johnson and the sniper gun aimed at J.J.’s back in the Macon GA fiasco…  it reminded me of when I first really came across J.J. Johnson.  It was his stand in Illinois when government thugs went after a woman named Shirley Allen in Roby, IL. (http://www.apfn.org/apfn/shirley_allen.htm)

Old timers on WGEN will remember the almost hourly posts WGEN was  sending out on the life threatening situation that the corrupt police chief Terrance Gainer led.  He went on later to be promoted to the IL gangster political circles.  The Land of STINKIN Slinkin.

Mr. Ross writes to Washington….

ross_authrThe following was received on the evening of August 11, 2009, shortly after the author submitted his questions and concerns to his duly elected Senator, Dianne Feinstein of California. We have chosen to publish said letter, in the hopes that it might give others ideas as to how to write to their respective elected officials. Good Luck to us all. (JB)

NOTE: I don’t expect a reply, and I said as much. But this is going out to every office Feinstein occupies, by fax, e mail and snail mail. I have no vacation time to go to any town hall meetings, and none are scheduled in my area when I am off. So this is the best that I can do. (NR)

Senator Feinstein,

As your constituent, I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on my concerns regarding HR 3200, the House version of a universal health care plan.

In the past I have written to you on a wide range of subjects, from illegal immigration to second amendment rights. On those occasions I received the usual form letter that did little to address my specific questions and concerns.

However, this time I believe that the importance of my questions deserve a more thoughtful, and specific reply.

Fahrenheit 2750˚

biesada_thumb_newAugust 10, 2009When my friend and mentor, Pat Shannan, called me the other day to discuss a troubling episode he had with the St. Petersburg Times, my first impression was, that’s nothing new, our liberal media liars will cover for their stooge until their final breath.

It seems that Pat was upset over an article the Times ran last week about “the Birthers” being kooks instead of righteous citizens, holding our elected officials accountable for neglecting to uphold the rule of law that they so ardently profess when it comes to select interests.

The St. Petersburg Times, tried to demonize the messengers of justice by arrogantly publishing a copy of Barack Obama’s Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth, which identification experts deemed to be a fraudulent document over one year ago.

Dwyer: The Misfits, the Losers, and the Social Parasites

point_blank_blogAugust 9, 2009I was really appalled by the furry with which the “Liberal” establishment, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), reacted to Rush Limbaugh’s comparison of “Liberalism” to Nazism. Not that I was surprised, though. The “Liberals” mastered the art of projection defined as a tendency of projecting one’s usually sinister intentions on others.

After years of “Liberal” claims that “white right-wing extremists” (which term includes about everyone of white complexion that may be characterized as a “conservative” or “not Liberal”) and Nazis are birds of feather, it was only a matter of time when the “Liberals” would denounce their opponents (in particular, Rush Limbaugh) for playing the Nazi card. And it did happen now.

Don’t Take That Shot Without Reading This First

ross_neal_0808August 9, 2009Every year you see them, the signs and advertisements for free flu vaccinations. Even the place I work has the health department come in and give free flu shots to those who want them. I never take it, and I never get the flu.

I’m curious. Has anyone really given any serious thought to these vaccinations they offer us? I mean, do any of you who take them know what’s in them? I could fill syringes with methamphetamines and offer free shots, saying they are good for you. Or worse, fill them with Liquid Plumber and offer them for free. I wonder how many people would line up to take them, just because they are free?

Baroud: Gaza’s Kite Runners

israel_thumb_new_1August 9, 2009When seen from a distance, kites in Gaza may look quite ordinary. But while Gazan children, in many respects, are just children, their kites are hardly ordinary. Often adorned by the red, black, green and white of the Palestinian flag, Gazan children’s kites are expressions of defiance, hope and the longing for freedom.

This is hardly a cliché. People living under oppressive rules take every opportunity to express defiance, even through such symbolic ways.

Ewart: Are They Running Scared?

postman_ewartAugust 9, 2009When propaganda, hype, distortions and lies don’t work, there is always desperation and desperation is flowing out of the White House and Capitol Hill like raw sewage gushing out of a broken sewer main.  Are they running scared?  You bet they are because their unconstitutional, in-your-face antics have awakened a “sleeping giant” and the “giant” grows increasing restless by the day.  A cattle stampede has more direction than these idiots in Washington DC.

Many have said that Obama is an intellectual genius, but his foreign and domestic decisions in the last six months tell a much different story.

Caruba: I Accuse!

opinion_blogAugust 9, 2009In 1898, an article by the great French novelist, Emile Zola was published in L’Aurore. It was addressed to the President of France. Zola accused the military of having wrongly convicted Capt. Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish artillery officer, of treason, incarcerating him for years on Devil’s Island. The title of the article was “J’Accuse!”  Zola’s courage has been an inspiration for writers ever since.

It is in this spirit that I issue my own version of “I Accuse.”

You’re Not Gonna Stick Any Needle In Me!

touch_evil_blogAugust 5, 2009A few months back you couldn’t watch the news without hearing about the Swine Flu. Health agencies began issuing all sorts of warnings, and even my own place of employment hung flyers up advising us how to avoid contracting this strain of influenza.

We first began hearing about the Swine Flu in the April/May 2009 time period when it was reported that 168 people in Mexico had died from this strain of the flu. That number was later revised to 16, after it was found the others had died from other causes.

Normally it takes between a year to a year and a half to develop a vaccine after a specific virus has been identified. Yet in May of 2009 the “seed culture” for the Swine Flu was given to pharmaceutical companies, and now Baxter International Inc. states that they will have a vaccine for the Swine Flu ready by the time the fall flu season breaks out.

Am I the only one who finds that bit of news a bit fishy?

‘The Axis of Idiots’

marine_corps_logo_thumbAugust 3, 2009Jimmy Carter, you are the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home, and then lacked the spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people hostage. You’re the runner-in-chief.

THEN you gave away Panama Canal: (for what?) convenience of Noriega and the drug runners? As if the Oil embargo wasn’t economically destructive enough!

Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia and then you ran from it.

Sutton’s Law

biesada_thumb_newAugust 3, 2009With the election of Barack Hussein Obama to the presidency of the United States, a lot of people are claiming that Washington D.C. has become the 51st. Aldermanic Ward of Chicago.

President Obama’s feverish, and hysterical push to enact a Socialistic health care system is troublesome and scary. It seems appropriate to examine this scheme under “Sutton’s Law.”

The term Sutton’s Law is derived from the late, infamous bank robber, and escape artist; Willie ‘The Actor’ Sutton, while being interviewed by reporter, Mitch Ohnstad…

Someone Please Stop This Train, I Want Off

ross_authrAugust 3, 2009I sometimes get the impression when I tell people that I believe that America will cease to exist, that suddenly the entire country is just going to vanish off the face of the earth, like the lost continent of Atlantis. I know, it sounds far-fetched, but that is what people seem to think when I tell them that this country is dying.

America is not going to vanish, it will still be on the maps. The difference will be that it will not be the America that our founders had hoped for, or the America that I grew up to love. You see, America was more than just another country, it was more than just a land vast land with bountiful resources. It was a place were people could live that was built on the principle of individual rights and liberty.

In the movie Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe, there is a scene where the Emperor, Marcus Aurelius states to Maximus, “There was once a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish… it was so fragile.”

Peasants with pitchforks and torches

39_steps_blogAugust 1, 2009 – In yesterday’s column I wrote that Congress has grown fearful of the citizens.  Rather than facing their constituents back home during the summer recess, many Congressmen and Senators have canceled town hall meetings and decided instead to remain hidden.

To be sure, there is nothing particularly wrong with this scenario from a purely American point of view.  Our Founders were convinced that once the citizens began to fear their government, the Republic was in deep trouble, and that elected representatives need to have a healthy fear of the electorate.

It has been so long since elected officials in Washington were scared of the people that the present circumstances are bound to come as a shock.

Ewart: It’s Not Obama’s Job!

“The two enemies of the people are government and criminals, so let us tie the first one down with the chains of the constitution, so the first will not become the legalized version of the second.” Thomas Jefferson

obama_newmanAugust 2, 2009We have not heeded the wise counsel and admonitions of one of our Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson and we have allowed the government to become the criminal.  It’s not Obama’s job to provide or find you a job.  It’s not Obama’s job to pay you when you don’t have one.  It is not Obama’s job to hold your hand when you are down.  It certainly isn’t Obama’s job to provide you with health care, Medicare, Medicaid, social security, welfare or student loans, nor is it his job to force you into vaccinations for alleged world pandemics.   We are Americans.  We are supposed to be able to hold our own heads up.  We are supposed to be our own salvation.  That’s what separates us from the rest of the people of the world.  We are a CAN DO country, or were until we succumbed to the siren call of free “gifts” from the criminals in government.

The Israeli Conundrum: ‘How to Deal with Iran’

israel_thumb_new_1August 2, 2009Israeli officials face a conundrum that may take more than military muscle-flexing to resolve: how to deal with Iran? The solution to this dilemma will require no less than sheer political genius.

It must be frustrating for Israeli policymakers and their friends and backers elsewhere to stand idle as Iran openly carries on with its nuclear-enrichment program, facing nothing but United States and European chest-thumping and a mere threat of more sanctions, which will unlikely bend Iranian resolve.

It’s doubly frustrating considering the relative ease that led the US, its timid coalition and Israeli cheerleaders to unleash a war against Iraq.

Contract with your Doctor

screwedbluecrossedandtatooed_thumbAugust 2, 2009With all of the ruckus regarding the ObamaCare (he really doesn’t) Bill, or the KennedyLegacy HellCare Bill, curetnly being discussed all over the nation, some, bright individual realized that amongst the first things each and everyone of us should do, is to require our medical Practioners (or is it ‘Practicers’?) to sign a contract, which will indemnify said doctor for all harm, which comes our way due to his/her diagnosis and prescriptions administered.

Thus, the following should be considered BY ALL!

Physicians Warranty of Vaccine Safety

Is it all worth it???

So let’s see now – THEY want to give us shots!

Maybe we’ll have a few for them as well.
