This whole thing is a load of hooey. Please see http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/seniordeath.asp. The only true part is that Daschle did say “will not be pain free.” The rest of the words in the Bloomberg article are the author’s (Betsy McCaughey) interpretation of something Daschle quoted.

I really wish people would STOP using the internet to spread garbage and untruths as if they were gospel.

This topic of healthcare is very important, yet so many people, including you, post material for others to read that promotes fear mongering, half truths and out-and-out lies about healthcare reform. the dis-information contained in your post is destructive to the process that we will all go thru whether we contribute to it or not. Both u and your readers have the same resources available to look into the accuracy or not of this post, and most of it is inaccurate.

This supposed health care crap is also connected to working Americans paying for HIV and AIDS fo the gays since when they are served up their requests and given their way they reject them. When offered marriage they rejected it saying, marriage was too constrictive to their lifestyles. I believe this so called health care is designed for illegals and gays.

It seems there’s ‘Truth & Consequences’ in the report. So far, under the OBAMANOMICS, there has been nothing but a ‘Takeover’ for Power, without regard to our Constitution! His view of ‘Government’ has taken over, using Czars without any oversight (except beholden only to him). No one seems to be accountable. I hold him responsible for his actions, just as I would any (Republican, Democrat, Independent —- Fairy God Mother!) I know we’ve had Czars in the past, but the first ones that come to mind are the Czars under Mussolini, Russia and other communist Dictators’ and countries. This is the feeling I’m getting of where we’re headed. If I recollect correct, a number of them were just taken out and shot (Example: What is a czar? By Kimberly A Dvorak). Just like the older folk, which they had no use for. This concerns me VERY Much—- as it should you. We getting warnings from people from all these other counties that have lived under that depression. It isn’t just the ‘Heath Care issue!’ Why not require the President and Congress to use the same Health plan their trying to shove down our throats. I think they would think or at least ‘READ’ what was in the Bills! Last I heard— They are suppose to work (represent) for US, not Dictate to us, what they determine we need. I’ve said my piece!

We have a tendency in America to argue for or against a concept based on our own personal philosophy or view of the world, what advances our personal interests, or the interests of our party, family, organization, or region. Perhaps viewing the issue from a management or systemic perspective might result in innovative approaches to the issue. The American national mindset, citizen philosophy, lack of citizen motivation to be proactively healthy, and governance model make the socialization of health care in America very problematic, particularly at this point in time. A country needs to know its limitations.

Neal, I’m replying to your question about page 29 in the “Cost-Sharing Limits.” The lpage-by-page analysis that’s making its way through the internet includes this issue, and I believe has been misunderstood.

Understand that I’m no fan of O’Bummer (both Jeff and Jackie know me personally and can tell you that), and my articles on illegal migration are probably still archived on the Federal Observer.

What I’ve concluded this section talks about are what current health policies call “out-of-pocket limits”–the annual amount that the policyholder must pay in co-insurance and deductibles before the policy pays at a higher or total level.

For example, my current group policy pays 80% after I meet a $500 deductible, and after my 20% co-insurance reaches $1400, the policy pays 100$.

That a $5k or $10K annual limit of care would apply is too ludicrous even for something out of this Administration. Having said that, a $5k or $10k limit is very high by the standards of today’s policies and will be a true shock to ObamaCare supporters.

That most ObamaCare supporters will likely be exempt from this limit because they’re either union members or community organization members (SEIU and ACORN et al) is the likely answer–these folks have a political payoff in ObamaCare that won’t extend to ordinary Americans.

H.R. 3200 BAD Medicine!

What reinforces my belief is that surrounding text speaks of co-payments, and it’s typical that co-insurance, co-payments and out-of-pocket limits be in the same section of the “policy.”

I would not have guessed that the situation was so similar 48 years ago. It was the same deceptive rhetoric from the socialists, playing on the same anxieties. The concept of the doctor/patient ratio being enforced and morphing into state-assigned employment is new, and an excellent one.

The fact that the Health Control crowd hasn’t given up is disheartening. How long will we have to fight this battle? The Signers knew that without rigorous defense against an enemy eroding the foundation, the US would be temporary. The reason freedom-loving people allow power to flow to control-loving statists is a mystery, but still reality, and our fight to maintain freedom must continue.

What we are all talking about is one in the same. Insurance is how we pay for medicine, and medical care, so by reforming the whole system under the government’s control, the government will be able to control the healthcare system by controlling when, where, and how the payments are issued. The unintended consequence of a public option is that it will force private insurance out of business and then it will no longer be competitively driven, which is what we need it to be. Also, the government will also control who get’s coverage and under what circumstances, because after all, they control the money flow. Let’s think about what kind of country we want here. Liberalism, by any other name, is becoming socialism, and the current healthcare debate illustrates that point. I work hard for my healthcare, and I don’t want it changed. According to Rasmussen polls, 89% of Americans with health insurance are happy with their insurance. If it’s the uninsured and the price that we’re concerned about, then let’s address those issues without changing the whole system. Once we go this route, there’s no going back. Then, we may just be longing for the good ole days

The argument that everyone deserves healthcare sounds good. Utopia also sounds good but we’ve never found a way to make that work either. The bottom line is, everyone knows a government run system is NEVER more efficient than a private (competitive) run system; regardless of how flawed that private system is. In fact, government run systems have a reputation for being enormously inefficient.

They have no competition therefore have no incentive to provide good service.

Been to the DMV lately? Or the Post Office? If the USPS was efficient… Fed Ex, UPS, and the like wouldn’t exist. And if we trust that the US Govt will have any reason to run healthcare (putting our very lives at stake) any more efficiently, we’re being naive.

One simple question. Why can’t this be put to a nationwide vote? Clearly it has caused an uproar. If I were a Congressman, I’d be happy to get this “monkey off my back” and put the vote to the people. I have a feeling the Congressman who are in support of socialized healthcare are doing as they’re told by the Democratic Party. I can see no other reason why they’d be speaking in direct opposition to so many of their constituents.

Again, why not vote on it? My only assumption is that the Socialists are in power and a nationwide vote would take that power out of their hands (and they certainly don’t want that to happen).

I challenge all to examine the current Government operated health care system – it is called The V.A.

Do you recall the huge scandal at Walter Reed a few years ago? The MOLD found in rooms with the patients? the peeling paint – the bad plumbing – and the lack of sufficient workers to care for the number of patients?

Or, how about the many returning veterans who have been PROMISED life time health care but government has found ways to stall them (until they die or commit suicide).

Or, Obama saying they should be paying for their health insurance because they KNEW when thy volunteered what they were doing and why should we be providing the coverage.

If you really have been siding with the Nationalization of the Health Care industry I strongly suggest you take a good look at the current government health care and see if that is what you want – because you will get just that and maybe less as there will be so many more (ILLEGALS included) trying to make use of the system. No choice in what KIND of health care you wan or wish to use – that will be determined by some bureaucrat who has a script to follow.

When you can honestly produce any government run operation that has been efficient or provided what it promised to produce then talk to me about a government operated health care system. Until then – JUST SAY NO to it all.

I am NOT a non-producer – my husband and i retired from 6 figure jobs – and we’re trying to live our lives w/o bothering others…and hoping others won’t bother us, however…..”somebody” thinks we NEED health INSURANCE….not health CARE…just health INSURANCE. we have paid for all of our own health care needs – and, in our retirement (and not yet eligible for medicare) we have chosen to save the $12,000/yr it would cost to maintain health INSURANCE. guess how much we spent on health care last year? $900 – that’s right – $900. now why would i pay $12,000/yr – w/a $500 deductible – to cover $900 in costs. NOT. admittedly, we are blessed w/good health – but neither of us wants anyone to either just “keep us alive” when the time comes or decide when we should die. we’re perfectly capable of making those decisions. in the same way we can decide for ourselves whether or not we need health INSURANCE.

if you understand how health INSURANCE works, you have a better understanding of the proposed federal healthcare program. it isn’t that they want to HELP EVERYONE – it’s that they want EVERYONE TO PAY. you see, the federal program – in much the same way private insurance works – will need more HEALTHY people paying into the system than sick people. it’s the only way the numbers come out right.

to suggest that the feds can REQUIRE private carriers to provide endless levels of health care benefits is absolutely fool-hardy. to do so will guarantee the demise of private health insurance – and, TA DAH, force more onto the federal roles.

I’ll make you a deal. 1) i won’t ask you (my fellow American citizens) to pay for my health care, and 2) you (my fellow american citizens and illegal aliens), please DON’T ASK ME TO PAY FOR YOURS!!

We too are retired, and we pay for catastrophic insurance which has done the job well. I had to have a cancerous tumor cut out of my colon because the tumor was blocking the colon.

HOWEVER instead of removing a few centimeters occupied by the tumor, the surgeon cut out almost 17 cm because the Doctors are terrified of the lawyers who would sue for the cancer spreading.

I had killed off the cancer by alkalizing my body before the operation and the testing of the removed colon proved that the tumor was no longer cancerous.

IF Doctors had to rely on my wife and myself for their income they would be in serious trouble because we pay attention to what we eat and what we do. My Doctor who is a good friend, upon examining me said to my wife and myself “You are disgusting! You are old enough to be my dad and you are in better shape than I am”

Prior to DC getting into the “Health” Care business we didn’t have the huge Insurance agencies which have so much control over the system. It is a well known and commonly used principle of Create A Problem and then offer the plan you had all along as the solution to the created problem. As with what is called Social Security, they wanted another way of extracting more money from the people and Social Security has worked very well. A 15% tax, now THAT is doing it right. IF what they call National Health Care becomes a reality, just remember that any funds coming from DC are called a benefit. Now it is up to the people to figure out for whom do they want these benefits. Those who support DC control over every aspect of our lives? Of course we should not ignore the financial benefits to those who created this new problem. Big corporations pay those who aid and abet VERY well.

PS: We don’t call HR3200 a “Health Care” bill, we call it Hell Care.

I hadn’t thought about the VA.  That’s the perfect example of government run health care WHEN THERE IS A CHOICE!  Imagine how awful it would be WITHOUT a choice.

I used to know the nicest elderly lady who’s husband had had a stroke and the nearest VA hospital that would care for him was in Augusta, Ga even thought she lived 30 minutes from a VA hospital in Atlanta.  She couldn’t afford to sell her home and move so SHE HAD TO DRIVE 5+ HOURS JUST TO SEE HIM.  The Atlanta facility could care for him but, for some bureaucratic reason or other, they weren’t willing to do so.  She contacted every Congressman and Senator she could but to no avail.  It was heartbreaking to see the red-tape nightmare she was in.

The VA is the perfect example of government run healthcare and the poor level of quality they would provide.

I can’t image the horrible level of care that we’ll be subject to if the government takes away all choice and gives us an expanded “VA Hospital” form of health “care”.

Pelosi and all proBO thugs call We The People UnAmerican … now they are what I call UnAmercan and I don’t know if I want to laugh or just throw up.  I would probably laugh so hard that it would make ,me throw up.

The proBO of his healthcare agenda don’t get it.  They come to the Town Hall wanting to spew their CRAP of giving Americans this terrific healthcare program WHEN IN FACT they should be listening to what we are saying.  They don’t want to answer questions.  Why, because they are ignorant of what it contains.

DOES CONGRESS, OUR WHITE HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES, KNOW WHO IS WRITING THIS HEALTHCARE CRAP.  ARE THESE AUTHORS PRO-AMERICAN OR ANTI-AMERICAN.  Have they met any of them?  Have they been vetted as being trusted.  Getting paid off protects their butt but not their hide.  Yet they have this elitess attitude that they are superior.  TO WHAT .. thuggery, traitorism, criminal, thievery, fraud and all their many other activities.  THEY ACT LIKE THEY OWN THE WHITE HOUSE.  WRONG, THE WHITE HOUSE BELONGS TO WE THE PEOPLE.

Let’s take a look at the Czars and what they are doing.  I have read some of their backgrounds so therefore here we go again with no vetting, we are being taken over by thugs.  They are doing their work with no transparency.  Their job description is  probably not truthful, as a hidden agenda is not on the transparency rule or promise.

I do not trust any of them.  Look at the associations of Mr. BO’s past, from Frank Marshalll Davis, Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, etc. etc. etc.  The transparency of this administration and the hurry up/speedy agenda of Mr. Obama’s power hunger is a compost pile which stinks.  During the campaign, which is an ongoing agenda for this administration of thugs that I have seen on cable TV, the proBoites talk, talk, talk, over any one who is simply asking for an honest answer to a simple honest question are well trained at this talk/talk vice so they don’t want to answer the question directly and won’t as they have trained to do so.  They continue to spew, spew and more spew, whatever way to evade, avoid an honest response including being rude to the person asking the question.  But of course, they are saying they are not being rude, that they are just trying to spew the right to spew.  They are trained to push their ideologies down our hroats hoping to infect our minds to their liking, but what goes into our mouths comes out as CRAP.  Their considerations fall right in line to their training and they are getting well paid to do this.  Please, we need to get these thugs in prison for treason, no bond bailout, no contact with the outside world, they have earned this treatment, otherwise, they will give us a free pass to prison for being An American … Free speech and treason are two different things.   Vice President Joe Bidden is more conservative than he thinks he is.  If he is not, then I see the continuaton of Obamanation being fed to us by Mr. O’Bama and Vice President O’Bidden.  If Mr. O’Bama is indeed a usurper, acting illegally I would hope that everything he is doing is illegal and it would be tossed into the trash as it is trash.  That says to me … get BO out of our White House.  I am really concerned for our great United States of America.  Of course I have great empathy for America, but also for two little girls who will grow up into adult with the legacy of a father, a wild radical, racist, thief, traitor, criminal, a cheat for his personal gain of power.  Haha, do you think I would be invited to Washington DC for a beer?

He, Mr. Obama and his thuggery  are prepared to turn on you,  me and any of his constituents to get what he wants. He has his plan in place but be advised America, it does not come under any transparency whatsoever.  This has been in the making for many many decades while Americans have been asleep,.  I see Americans waking up.

Let’s clean house at OUR White House.

The problems are so very deep.  For what needs to be done is an enormous task.  The pile of problems is growing and growing and can’t even estimate what level we are experiencing.  I see more coming and it is not good.  Mr. O’Bama may be a great father, but what kind of a man is he?  I may be thrown in jail for being ProAmerican speaking out.  OR, they could buy me off.  I am not interested in their buy off.  I will be an unknown soldier that is willing to die IN MY COUNTRY FOR MY COUNTRY.

High level cable spokespersons are being bought off and that problem is going to escalate.  What has happened to the dignity that they have earned.  They have moved to the poultry farm.

I haven’t read enough about history but history has been recorded.  But this is a VIRUS that will divide us.  We must ban together … We must not divide  … But how can this be when they are so many that are not learned as to what is going on.
