Obamacare, Or Maybe He Doesn’t

Editor’s NOTE: It look as if Neal shouldn’t have listened to Perspectives on America on Thursday (July 23rd) as we must have gotten his blood to boiling. JB

ross_authrJuly 25, 2009While Barack Obama was campaigning for President one of his main plans was to create some sort of universal health care for all those who could not afford health insurance. I wonder if anybody remembers back in 1993 when Hillary Clinton tried to do the same thing, only to be shot down in flames?

This time things are different. Obama, with his silky smooth speeches, has the support of far more people than Hillary did back in 1993. This time around there seems to be much more support for some sort of universal health care program.

Those who support the idea of government run health care need to stop and think for a moment.

Turnbull: The time for immigration enforcement is now!

steenkin_visas_thumbJuly 24, 2009Calls for comprehensive immigration reform are now abundant. These are nothing more than calls for an open immigration policy and amnesty for 12 to 20 million illegal aliens.

New American Media, in its commentary, published by the Northwest Asian Weekly (July 4–July 10) calls on this country’s “core values” including “economic opportunity, equality under the laws regardless of ethnic background, and an embrace of the world’s most innovative, energetic, and ambitious workers.” I always thought that our core values included following the laws of the country, but evidently that was not convenient to mention.

Baroud: Who Killed Arafat and Why?

israel_thumb_new_1Who killed Yasser Arafat? When the Palestinian leader was declared dead in a French hospital on Nov. 11, 2004, there was no way of knowing how questions related to his death should be phrased. Was he killed or did he die from old age? If he was killed, then who killed him and why? The “mysterious” nature of his symptoms gave birth to a theory that he was poisoned over a period of time, provided enough evidence that foul play was involved, even accusing some of those closest to him. Although the man’s story has been recorded in the ever-growing chronicle of the Palestinian struggle and Palestinians have somehow moved on, recent breaking news has blown his story wide open once again, breeding new controversy and stories of conspiracy.

McCutchen: The “Distressed Cavaliers”

mccutchen_thumbThe best kept secret in our history, next to the truth about tyrant “Honest Abe”.  (Read “The Real Lincoln” by Thomas DiLorenzo)

The Collectivists/Politically Correct purveyors’ worst nightmare would be for American citizens to learn of their true Founding history….from the establishment  of Jamestown by adventurers and businessmen BEFORE the Pilgrim’s Plymouth Rock, the first Thanksgiving at Berkley Plantation, BEFORE the Pilgrims’, to the wonderment of the saga of the “Distressed Cavaliers”.  (Such knowledge might give rise to the pride Americans once had in their heritage, something carefully destroyed by the Politically Correct method of Cultural Marxists.)

Johnson: Remembering the Gettysburg Reunion of 1913

csa_flags_comp_blogJuly 22, 2009Do you know who Gen. Robert Edward Lee, Major Gen. George Edward Pickett and Major Gen. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain were? Are children still taught about these men and all those who met on the famous War Between the States battlefield at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania? Some call the Gettysburg Battlefield the most haunted place in America as many thousands died on that fateful month of July 1863.

The story of the Battle of Gettysburg and 50th Anniversary Reunion would make for a heart-warming and touching TV Historic mini-series or Hollywood movie.

“Comrades and friends, these splendid statues of marble and granite and bronze shall finally crumble to dust, and in the ages to come, will perhaps be forgotten, but the spirit that has called this great assembly of our people together, on this field, shall live forever.” – Dr. Nathaniel D. Cox at 1913 Gettysburg Reunion

McCutchen: Genocide of Founding Stock?

mccutchen_thumbJuly 22, 2009 - First came the destruction of our Founding principles, now comes the methodical extermination of our Founding Stock.

The first great death blow to our Republic occurred at the hands of “Dishonest Abe”.  That bloodthirsty dictator violated our Constitution with impunity and any who crossed him paid a heavy price….not only in the South, but the many Northerners who did not condone or participate in his carnage were imprisoned, even exiled. Slavery had very little to do with the War Between the States, but it did serve as a most convenient cover and excuse in the end. (Read “The Real Lincoln”)

Every other country ended slavery without war and the U.S. was on its way to doing so itself. ..Not only due to disdain for the practice but economically through mechanization.

Yet Another Reason Why Obama Nationalized Health Care Won’t Work

dwyer_thumbJuly 22, 2009For those who know how the “affirmative action” works, the idea of a nationalized health care system must be really scary.

Here is why….
When you select your doctor or decide which one to let perform a surgery on you, the only beneficiary of the choosing that you have in mind is you. If he doesn’t look like a doctor, doesn’t act like a doctor, and doesn’t carry himself like a doctor, you just walk away. You don’t care about your doctor’s hardships while in school and college (or in jail), nor do you consider such factors as him being of under- or over-represented ethnicity, the number of kids he has to feed, or societal desire to make up for past injustices. You simply want the best doctor that you can afford, period. If you don’t trust him, you look for someone else without even having to explain to anyone the reasons of your rejection of him.

Granny: Resolve to be Healthy

obc_skull-n-bonesJuly 22, 2009 - I want to present something to the readers on this AKA Health Enslavement program.

First of all – please figure out what it is that you consider to be HEALTH CARE.

Once you have settled that in your mind then you need to determine exactly who and what is needed to provide HEALTH CARE.

Next, list all the things and people that are now involved in HEALTH CARE that aren’t needed. I have done this years and years ago and every so often I present my thoughts to readers.

I like to present mental pictures to readers and that is what this is going to be so get your popcorn and settle down in your comfy chair.

My picture of health care is whatever CARE is needed to ‘fix’ or repair something that has happened to ones body.
