		<description>The interesting thing being, of course, that the author had no trouble finding drugs when he wanted them and the only way he got off of them was when he decided (albeit with the help of family) that he wanted to do so.

His life is a testament to the ineffectiveness of the "war on drugs".  

We're obviously losing that one.  What's our exit strategy?

Legalize it, tax it, regulate it.  Take the money saved from ending the war on drugs, along with the revenue obtained from taxation on those drugs, and invest it in treatment and prevention programs.  That would do more for ending the scourge of drug abuse in a decade than well ever accomplish by tilting at windmills.</description>
